Only had the product for a month but! Good clarity and, you get really great high end and low end sound. Great for at home mixing and recording. I found the mid range to be a little bit flat but, for the price, it’s not something that would put me off buying another pair. Comfortable large ear pads and the head strap adjusts nicely. Only other critique is that the cord is fixed and a little bit long so there’s no chance of putting a shorter chord on changing it if it breaks. But again, the price reflects this. Overall it’s a good, affordable set of headphones for anyone starting out in at-home music production or recording.

These are really nice headphones: 1) They're lightweight & comfortable. 2) The sound quality is quite good. 3) The price is right for these headphones. 4) Very good stereo separation. Main use for me is general listening; light sound mixing when DJ'ing; studio & live recording; doing overall live sound mix for a band or something. If you're wanting to do final mix downs & mastering, I suggest the K92 model - the drivers on these a louder & more pronounced, & I own these as well.

Bought for use at work but with several lockdowns, these headphones lived (boxed, as new) in my drawers at the office, getting very little use. Just getting back into normality at the office recently and after setting these up, noticed only the Left channel was outputting sound. If I turned my head a certain way, I'd get stereo. Seems to be something up with the cable. Thinking "They're still practically new - surely under warranty" I rummaged through my inbox to reveal that, no, actually I bought them over 18 months ago... So even thought they are as-new, they are junk. I bought these as the K92 were sold out everywhere. They’re good for their price and comfortable as they have massive ear cups that can fit over any ear. I use these for gaming on PC and they’re perfectly suitable and I can wear them comfortably for hours with no pain. However, it’s definitely worth paying the extra $20~ for the K92 instead for the better sound quality.

Sound: The best balanced sound I've heard in anything under $100. Features: The single sided cord, its ample length and screw-on adapter are exactly what I need. Ease of Use: The cans themselves are über-comfortable! The fit is surprisingly secure for such a light feel. Quality: So far, so good. Solidly built for a lightweight set. The cord is secure and doesn't kink. Value: These AKG's are easily worth three times the price. Manufacturer Support: Haven't had to deal with them yet. For $40, I doubt I ever will. They break in a few years, I buy new ones. But I don't think that will happen with moderate care. The sound is pretty WOW, though. Overall: I just received these headphones and they're probably the best sub-hundred-dollar set I've ever had. Clean, balanced and full, they are so far serving every purpose I need them for. Using them to program patches on my DigiTech rp360XP, they tell me exactly what it will sound like through my amp. Listening to music is a pleasure as they cover bass, mids and highs in near perfect balance. Are there better? Sure. Are there better at this price range? Not even close. I've even used them for monitoring mixes and have zero complaints. I mean, yeah, if you need to hear a hummingbird fart through the mix of a dubstep Metallica remix, go for the $300 headphones. If you need a set that's not a toy and don't have a lot of money, or if you need to outfit a recording studio or rehearsal space with multiple sets of cans, go with these AKG's. I use a TC Helicon Voice Live 2, and during band practice, I can hear a perfect representation of my various reverbs, delay decays and harmony voice balances. Rating these on parameters other than sound, they fit the bill wonderfully. They are light but sturdy. The cans fit completely over my ears and even wearing my eyeglasses I can barely tell they're there after a couple hours. Complete sound blocking? No. But more than sufficient for average use listening to music, practicing or mixing. The one-side cable is long enough for anything I need it for and a welcome relief from dual-sided cords hanging down my neck and down the front of my body. The handy screw-on 1/4" adapter covers all of my many needs. In short, these cans are great and for $40, I'll replace them if I do break them or something.

Comfortable and good sounding

Got these on sale for $39. Needed something over the ear due to the fact that I wear behind the ear hearing aids. These sound good and are very comfortable to wear for an extended listening period. Can't go wrong. If you're looking for super bass look elsewhere. These reveal tight accurate bass.

Don't waste your money

So anyone looking at these headphones is probably in the same boat that I was. Looking to get a nice pair of headphones that don't break the bank. So i did that and I ended up buying these. My use for them was for my electric drum set. now these headphones are HORRIBLE to be used with a drum set, and for that matter I would say musical instruments as a whole. There is ZERO sound isolation, so you hear all ambient noiSes (i.e the drum sticks hitting the rubber crash symbols) it is very frustrating trying to play a set and haRDLY BE ABLE TO HEAR THE MUSIC OVER AMBIENT NOICES. Now if you were just gettign these to listen to music or watch a movie on your computer, then yeah these would work fine, and thats the only reason I gave 2 stars. Home practise / studioheadphones on a budget

I was after a pair of low priced budget headphones that I could use at home for a little guitar / piano practice and also the occasional 'throw down some song ideas on my digital recorder '. As I didnt want to end up with something entirely crappy , I did a little research and came across these . I went for an 'over ear ' design ,as I find over ear far more comfortable than 'in' ear or 'on' ear . Hey , they are not pro studio quality, either in build or sound , but I had no reason to expect them to be . If I had spent a few hundred pounds ,yes my expectations would have been way higher. However ,with that said , for the price (less than £30 !) , I really cannot fault them . Review of AKG K72 Closed Back Studio Headphones

Fantastic sound!!! Initially after plugging them in I thought they weren’t working as the sound was so brilliant I thought I was hearing the sound from the piano speaker and not the headphones. Very comfortable too!
