The Allessi plissé toaster is basic in its functionality which is exactly what I wanted. I also wanted a compact toaster, which it is. This toaster is elegant, stylish and different - all attributes I I like. It’s a toaster for 2 or 1 - we are 2, sometimes 1.Perfect for our needs.
As a styling piece for a kitchen it looks the part, but as a useful toaster, it's hopeless. Toasts unevenly is the biggest problem. One side cooked, whilst other side not even brown. Have no idea how it even passes any quality control whatsoever. No 'lift and look' to swap it around, so you have to cancel the timer to pop it up and swap sides, several times. Do not waste your money unless it's just for the looks..
This is a great appliance. It also looks perfect on my countertop.
In the course of a new black and white kitchen, the Alessi toaster moved in with us.It fits well into the black and white room, is easy to clean and does its job well.
Not very good at toasting bread which is the least it should do .. taking it back
Super nice toaster, the design is great!Also, there are extra functions such as reheat / toast bagel etc. so also serves its purpose :)
