As a styling piece for a kitchen it looks the part, but as a useful toaster, it's hopeless. Toasts unevenly is the biggest problem. One side cooked, whilst other side not even brown. Have no idea how it even passes any quality control whatsoever. No 'lift and look' to swap it around, so you have to cancel the timer to pop it up and swap sides, several times. Do not waste your money unless it's just for the looks..
I love this product. I was looking for something a little different and these products certainly are. Look beautiful and unique. Toaster browns toast to perfection. Kettle is quiet and easy to fill up. Happy that there is a British plug which goes straight into socket (not a transformer in sight)
Looks beautiful but not that advanced in terms of functionality. We find that the highest setting is the only level that toasts a decent amount, anything lower isn’t that useful. Sometimes we have to toast twice. There’s a silly lip around the top that collects crumbs. It could’ve easily been a flush finish so nothing would get stuck in there. The mechanism that helps you lift out toast that’s too low only lifts a tiny 5mm so it’s fairly useless. It’s as though it’s a cheap toaster wrapper in a fancy outer body. No thought has gone into the functionality. I’m not half surprised though as I’ve never really seen a stylish toaster that functions as well as it looks.
The toaster comes with an European plug, so using an adapter will block your triple outlet. It is better to buy from another European seller as it is cheaper
I love my Alessi toaster. It has all the functions we need, it’s easy to clean and looks modern and perfectly matches my Alessi Plisse kettle. Delivery was quick and packed expertly. Very satisfied.
Looks beautiful and stylish. I haven’t used all the features yet. Toast comes out crunchy as I like it. I have the matching kettle too. My husband thinks it’s ugly but I don’t.
Recently purchased the Alessi toaster for our new house. Couldn’t be happier with the product. It is such a modern touch to the kitchen and have received so many compliments.
