Fairly decent for the price. One of the legs had white paint on it. The top piece of the bed head appears to be bowed so the vertical slats do not fit together perfectly. This results in them moving. With the mattress and pillows though, you can't actually see them. Tried hammering them in and even sitting on top of them... didn't change anything. The frame itself is solid and works very well and is completing it's job well. While the instructions for the supporting middle slats were a bit confusing, it was easy enough to fix it to be the proper way once we had realised our error. If you are looking for a cheap bed frame, it certainly does the trick! You might get lucky and get a frame that isn't bowed. It really isn't too bad at all!

The photo is very misleading. I have a normal QS mattress on the bed and it totally hides the bed head. As one of the other reviewers stated, the headboard is much smaller than shown in the photo. This is very disappointing and total waste of money. I could have just bought a bed base and achieved the same effect. I now have to replace this bed - what a waste of money.

Perfect first bed for my son. It was easy enough to put together for a person who is handy. If that isn't you then it maybe a two person job. The only con was some of the paint on a couple of the pieces was damaged. Appeared to be a defect caused during the manufacturing process. It was easy to hide though but turning the pieces around. I would recommend this product to others.

TOO LONG FOR A STANDARD KING SINGLE MATTRESS. There's a big arm width size gap at the end of the mattress! We have a standard king single mattress on it, but still the big gap. It looks really ridiculous. Otherwise, the frame itself is fine quality and sturdy, it does the job it's just too long lol. We can't close the bedroom door because the frame is that bit too long, so having a carpenter come to try and alter it to reduce that gap.

We really needed an affordable bed for my tween. To put together was quite straight forward and did not take much time. The timber is a bit light for our liking, but given our budget we could deal with this. The main thing we were looking for was a bed we could store toys/lego under in pull out baskets or containers. We succeeded in this aim and have stored quite a bit under - which was not hampered by the middle 'leg'. We also thought it would be a good idea to have a bed-end that was low so we could ensure a cover could be draped to cover any storage. So if you are looking for a simple bed, that blends well with natural toned room, and, has good storage height under - this is the bed for you! This product is terrible. One of the side panels wasn't painted properly, instructions vague to understand and after hours of putting it together, the bed wasn't even. One of the foots had a gap between the floor. Our floor is nice and flat and we had no such issues with our previous bed. We decided to keep it because ceebs unscrewing it and taking it out of the room. It's terrible quality. Won't be buying any flat pack from Temple and Webster again.You would be better off buying from other competitor.

I was looking for a bed frame with a lower height (especially the bed head) and this fits the bill great.Assembly is tedious. Its not the sturdiest bed you'll find and I recommend it for occasional use by guests.Bed slats are screwed in by many many screws so you'll need a drill. This also means if you can't move the frame in one piece it'll have to come apart.Bed left quite a strong chemical smell in the room for a number of weeks.

Firewood

I bought the bed, enlisted some help from a friend to put it together for me, who promptly advised me to return it or use it as firewood, cos that’s all it is - expensive firewood! I did not surrender, after the initial 4 hour build which was not completed as nothing matched up or worked like in the instructions I spent another 12 hours putting it together myself. I was sleeping one night and the whole bed frame collapsed just like that for no reason. I’m now in communication with Alfordsons and they are not accepting return. I would NOT recommend this product, it’s completely uncomfortable and unsafe. Do not waste your money! Then the reply via email was that the bed has nothing to do with comfort, it is the mattress. Good bed for price

I was after a higher bed than my previous one. I contacted the company about its height so I could make sure it was suitable, but they never responded to my message. However I thought I would risk it and purchase it anyway. At first when looking at the instructions I thought I might need a degree in engineering to put the bed together, but it was surprisingly easier than I anticipated as everything was labelled. It was just time consuming and my screwdriver hand developed blisters. But that said, it is a good bed for the price and is a good height for me. I am happy with my purchase. I am just not looking forward to dismantling it if I move house…..
