It was hard for me to hold after using a different type Alienware mouse. Besides that it worked great. I gave it 3 stars because it worked fine but felt odd in my hand, hard to grip for me. I find the mouse with flat sides on left and right side is easier to use. Probably because I have used it for 5 years. I wanted to try a different mouse. Since it was more expensive, I thought it would be better. It was the same. Not sure why it cost more. I returned it and plan on getting the same one I have now for back up.

Honestly, I like it, very ergonomical for my somewhat big hand. Has wireless option for chill homework time and i can always plug in for gaming, the cable also came with a little tie up thing so you can organize and tie up the cable instead of having the weight of the cable influence the mouse movement. Since I have an alienware laptop, when plugged in, the alienware program automatically recognizes the mouse so I'm able to change colors whenever. The only thing I wish that changed is that when plugged in on your laptop, they should provide an accurate percentage reading instead of "charging" or "full". Overall, very good mouse to grip on, feels like just the perfect weight for me, I was actually considering canceling this order to buy the 720 mouse but, I'm much ... As a "non-IT" person who still uses various graphic-related software personally & professionally, I used to have quite a few different mouses with another well-known brand in the past years. Once I purchased a new Alienware laptop (as a non-gamer) for the first time this year, I also started using an Alienware keyboard & mouse. And, these accessory devices have been offering me different feelings. The AW620M mouse has been very "ergonomic" (with the new design), light, precise & entertaining (with lighting) to me so far & I now use it daily for my personal Alienware laptop (another higher-end model AW720M for my Dell work laptop). I do like this mouse. It is the perfect size for the size of my hand. I didn't realize just how much I would appreciate the side light on the left side of the mouse. It's very responsive, with multiple DPI settings. Battery life is ok...a day or so. So, really, you will keep this connected to the nice, long, braided usb cable. Which is fine for me. The only thing I have a real issue with is the middle finger button on the right side. The button doesn't feel large enough and I often find myself hitting the ridge on the side of the button by the mouse wheel. The mouse wheel also feels a bit too close to that finger also. For the batter and this button issue, I knock off a full star. My mouse arrived very quickly. But, when I opened the box, the dongle was missing. I ... MoreI do like this mouse. For the batter and this button issue, I knock off a full star. My mouse arrived very quickly. But, when I opened the box, the dongle was missing. I immediately reached out to customer service, and they said to open the mouse, and it's inside. Clearly the people that work for who Dell out sources their support centers don't know their products. This mouse is sealed, it can not be opened. CS transferred me to Tech Support, they said the same thing. After I explained to them that it can not be opened, they put me on hold for 15 minutes or so, they came back and told me they would have to ship me a new mouse. They can't just send a dongle. In the end, I got 2 of these for the price of one. That was great customer service for this issue. Though I had terrible service on an issue for my new laptop.
First mouse received was defective and it did take awhile for customer support to come to that conclusion. Second mouse received worked as intended. The materials are light and smooth which makes getting a firm grip difficult. Some grip tape helped in this case, but worth noting if this is important to you. Response time and overall performance is great, and the software makes it fairly simple to adjust settings and rgb
This mouse is very light, stylish and quite comfortable and. The latter 2 being completely relative, of course. The clicking sound is different than most mouses: it's very fresh and, somehow, nostalgic. It also has the DPI up and down switch like the old AW959, which is amazing, since I personally hate a DPI cycling button. Also, I had ZERO issues with the connectivity, so far. I feel little to no latency, but I'm just a casual gamer, hence not very picky. Lastly, I don't have any recent comparisons for the battery life, so I'm leaving it aside of this review. It's a pity this mouse doesn't have a magnetic connector like the new Tri-Mode products. I LOVE that connector. It feels great, it's super handy and it should be a standard for all Alienware products from now ... MoreThis mouse is very light, stylish and quite comfortable and. It's a pity this mouse doesn't have a magnetic connector like the new Tri-Mode products. I LOVE that connector. It feels great, it's super handy and it should be a standard for all Alienware products from now on, especially considering the brand has to regain trust after all of the screw ups in the past years. I only have 2 issues with this mouse. The 1st is that it does NOT have side scroll buttons, which means no horizontal scrolling on the internet or on Excel, and also no macros. The 2nd, is that the customers around the forums have been almost BEGGING Alienware to add an option to control the RGB dimming behavior on the Command Center, but so far we've been ignored. The lights of the new Alienware mice and keyboard dim after 30s of non-use, then go off after 30 more. There's NO option to keep them always on. This is extremely annoying and very inconvenient, and it could be fixed with a simple firmware/software update. If Alienware's concern is with the battery life in case such an option is available, then they should just add a warning about it beside it rather than removing a BASIC option and taking away the control of a device you own. Remember: the same goes for the keyboard. Please, listen to the community. Seems like the reviews are very likely to be passed along, so thanks for the consideration.
I am forever looking for the better mouse. When I read of the AW690M's mechanical switches, I was amped . . . Unfortunately, I am a woman and although I have big hands for a woman, most mice are too large to be comfortable. I also have arthritis and this mouse put my thumb's furtherest joint in a strange and painful position. All in all, same problems as with many mice. Responsiveness was awesome, but you must plug in the USB C 2.4GHz 1" antenna, or mount it on a dongle, to get full functionality. I have a laptop I prefer to have on my lap. This dongle / antenna hanging out is ripe for destruction. I also have cats. Alienware: consider smaller mouse footprints and smaller antenna footprints.
I ordered this mouse to replace my AW610M when its scroll wheel became faulty. This mouse has one improvement and two setbacks. Improvement: the 620M is slightly smaller and fits better in the hand. Setbacks: 1. The battery life is MUCH shorter than the 610M. I have to charge the 620 every couple of days. The 610 battery would last up to a month. It's a drastic and noticeable difference. The 'wireless' functionality of this mouse is nearly nullified by the short battery life. 2. The USB dongle is a USB-C dongle now. The Alienware laptops are only equipped with two USB-C ports so this means that I have to utilize the full sized USB port using a USB-USB C adapter for the mouse dongle.
I've only owned it for a couple months and I don't have any real issues. Functionally, it does exactly what I expect it to do. The way you have to go about customizing button functions could be improved, but that is a software not hardware thing. The customization itself is nice, especially when paired with my Alienware laptop. Having a fairly seamless experience there is one of the main reasons I got it.Its comfortable in the hand. Responsive. Produces satisfying clicks with all of the buttons. Surprisingly slick and smooth: when repositioning it I have sometimes had it slip out my hand as I try to pick it up. Hand grime will eventually solve that I'm sure.First wireless mouse in maybe a decade & the only one with a built in battery. So I don't have a good ... Lasting 2 days between charges with fairly heavy useage & the lighting on doesn't seem too bad.The scroll wheel feels very 'notchy', but its either softening up some or I'm just getting used to it.
I really wish i could keep this mouse but decided to return. It got long battery life and good weight, not too heavy nor too light IMO. Meanwhile i did notice the click can be mushy sometimes, and right click can make squeeking noise under certain consition. It does not offer wireless charging capability and the mouse surface feeling cheap and slippery. Overall i am little bit disappointed of the overall design and quality.
