We bought the Stainless steel non stick skillet early 2000's and got plenty of use out of it. But during the pandemic we cooked at home everyday. Well, everything I cooked was sticking to the non stick skillet. ruined many meals. When we reached out to All-Clad for advice or a possible replacement we were notified that it was no longer covered under the limited warranty. When my husband purchased the skillet it was a lifetime warranty. So for that reason alone, I will never buy All-Clad again. However, for those who hate throwing money away, FARBERWARE replaced our 2 quart Durable stainless Steel pot when the handle broke off. No questions asked... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FARBERWARE!

The pan is a generous size to cook larger amounts of food. When used properly, it is non-stick and cooks evenly. The only downside to the pan is the maintenance. We have an all-clad 10" pan we have had for over 10 years that still works beautifully. The first time we used our 12" pan, even after we followed the care and cleaning instructions noted by All-Clad, it continued to appear like there were spots on the surface. This seems to be the case from several others who have noted it in their reviews. This is unfortunate given we only used it once.

It troubles me to write a negative review for this product, however, it is an honest one. I was so excited when I received this order, as it was a Christmas gift to "myself". I excitingly opened the package and within 5 minutes, knew I had made a mistake. The pan just felt cheaper than most of the pans I had shopped at several high end department stores, but much more expensive. The most disturbing characteristic was the handle. It felt awkward, and uncomfortable and even dangerous as it would tend to tilt when you picked it up. I immediately re-packaged it and returned it, and absorbed the $10 return fee. I have cense found the fry pan set I was dreaming of from a different manufacturer.
I've had an 8" pan for 2 years, and a 10" pan for 1 year.I have no complaints at all.I am careful about what sponges I use to clean it with.I use scotch-brite BLUE sponges (not the green), and it cleans the pan fine with no issues, and no scratches.I'm not going to say food doesn't stick, but I have a few tricks that allow me to get it clean with minimal issues, several tips from this websites cleaning recommendations.I had issues with scrambled eggs sticking terribly, but that was my fault.Premix your yokes/egg whites in a separate bowl.Butter in the pan, drop your pre-mixed eggs into the melted butter.Keep pan on medium heat (I have a glass stove top). When you see the edge of the egg being cooked, pull the cooked egg into the middle of the pan ... MoreI've had an 8" pan for 2 years, and a 10" pan for 1 year.I have no complaints at all.I am careful about what sponges I use to clean it with.I use scotch-brite BLUE sponges (not the green), and it cleans the pan fine with no issues, and no scratches.I'm not going to say food doesn't stick, but I have a few tricks that allow me to get it clean with minimal issues, several tips from this websites cleaning recommendations.I had issues with scrambled eggs sticking terribly, but that was my fault.Premix your yokes/egg whites in a separate bowl.Butter in the pan, drop your pre-mixed eggs into the melted butter.Keep pan on medium heat (I have a glass stove top). When you see the edge of the egg being cooked, pull the cooked egg into the middle of the pan (two strokes of the spurdle).Wait a little bit more for more to be cooked, and then wait, and by then most egg should be cooked, and move the uncooked to the pan until complete. It keeps the pan soooooo much cleaner, might stick in a small spot or 2, but cooking that way helped me ALOT.Sometimes meat will stick, like sausage patties for example, but right after I remove the meat from the pan, even if it looks stuck, I run the pan under cold water and "swoosh" the water around, and due to the heat differential and the bubbles from the heat it will oftentimes pull any burnt residue off the bottom of the pan. If you let it dry, it is a BEAR to remove.Anyway Good luck!
The perfect roll around skillet to 10 inch D3 three ply all clad bonded stainless steel skillet pan this pan is my workhorse of pan perfect size for all cooking professionally made professional grade. Perfect for getting a beautiful seer and scallops and a beautiful seer and a nice dry age ribeye steak, great distribution and amazingly and surprisingly easy to clean and maintain again made in the USA made from USA steel great job all clad. These all of them take your cooking to the next level.
For those who gave this product a negative review you must understand some basic principles when cooking with stainless steel on a stovetop. NEVER put in protein straight from the fridge (or freezer - God forbid!). It should be at room temperature. Heat to the "just right" temp. When you put a small drop of water into the pan it should immediately turn to tiny beads that jump around the pan. A little butter or good quality and healthy cooking oil would also help with making it non-stick but I watched a very good video demonstrating this and explaining the science behind why this works and why others who are in a hurry and do not follow these 2 simple steps fail and have a sticky mess. Take the time to understand your cookware and you will be extremely content. I have many pans of different construction and the stainless steel pans look like new even after years of cooking with them. Yes, I also take the time to use Bon Ami or Bar Keeper's Helper to make them sparkle. Expensive pans are in investment and as with all investments you should plan a little extra effort to treat them kindly and care for them properly. All Clad is a leading name in the industry with a solid reputation for quality cookware. You can of course go all out and buy their top of the line products but it isn't necessary to get something that is long-lasting and doesn't produce toxins that enter your body. Please take those negative reviews with a grain of salt as they clearly do not understand their cookware.
Fine craftsmanship, excellent construction, swift border perfect for sliding cooked food off to plate. Long handle and angle perfectly set for avoiding heat from adjoining burners. Perfect weight to size ratio. Perfect for steaks, fish fillets and mostly for spanish style omelets. Made some cod fillets and came like a magazine picture; nicely cooked WITHOUT STICKING. The best frying pan there is.
This is my first time exploring the world of stainless steel and all clad and wow. I cannot believe I was missing out all because I was nervous with stainless steel not being non stick. I have a gas stove and normally cook on setting 5-6 with my teflon pans. With this I barely need it at 3-4. And it heats up QUICK. I use it everyday and can’t wait to buy more a little at a time. Definitely worth the money. And will be telling all my friends and family how they need to ditch their chemical filled teflon and go stainless! All clad is definitely what I will recommend.
I don't normally leave negative reviews, but unfortunately I am not satisfied with my pan and I wanted to share. A little over a month after purchasing my All-Clad skillet from Sur La Table, I noticed that one of the rivets connecting the handle to the pan was not applied properly. It was crooked, i.e. not flat, meaning that there was a very small gap between the rivet and the pan on one side. This may seem like a subtle issue, but it means that food gets trapped in the gap, rendering it difficult to clean. Moreover, the old food/gunk that gets trapped in the rivet gap can get released back into your cooking (e.g. during a braise), which I find gross. Because I was beyond the 30-day return window when I noticed the issue, I contacted All-Clad and described the issue ... MoreI don't normally leave negative reviews, but unfortunately I am not satisfied with my pan and I wanted to share. Because I was beyond the 30-day return window when I noticed the issue, I contacted All-Clad and described the issue and included pictures. They said they would be happy to do a warranty evaluation, so I sent in my pan using the shipping label they provided. Weeks later I received my pan in the mail again in exactly the same condition and no note of explanation. I contacted customer service to ask what the outcome of the warranty evaluation was, and they explained that they had "found no irregularities" nor "any other manufacturing defects" upon inspection. I explained that I considered a crooked rivet that didn't lie flat with a visible gap that was accumulating gunk under it to be a manufacturing defect, and they simply reiterated that their warranty team had found no defects during their inspection. They also did not have any recommendation for repairing the pan when I asked. I was disappointed and surprised that a brand like All-Clad (which has a reputation for quality) did not consider a crooked rivet to be a defect. My advice to anyone purchasing an All-Clad pan would be to inspect the rivets when you purchase. I unfortunately won't be using the All-Clad pan I paid good money for, and will instead be purchasing a pan from another brand.
