Having spent over two weeks researching the world's best, non-toxic cookware, I finally settled on the All-Clad brand via this Peter's of Kensington website thanks to them offering the best prices on all the internet. When it comes to the purchasing of non-toxic products, websites such as Lead Safe Mama and Mamavation have proven to be a highly valuable resource of information. Having found what I believe to be a non-toxic product, I will then check out YouTube to see what others think of the brand. I was very happy to find a lot of video reviews on All-Clad cookware. Then having stumbled upon a few important videos of high profile chefs who rated this cookware highly due to its very even cooking surface and high quality in comparison to other brands tested, I was ... My only gripe: I wished that the 6-piece set was in stock, as it would have turned out much cheaper to buy than to individually buy all the separate pieces.

Better than expected. I researched a lot and after reviewing multiple other brand pans and even their D5 line, I came to the conclusion that the D3 was more than what I needed for everyday cooking. I have this set along with a couple carbon steel pan. I purchased Bar Keepers Friend and no matter how grimmy the pans end up after cooking, they look good as new. The cleaning process take a little longer than the old non-stick pans but it is worth it. First I use hot water with regular dish soap to remove oil and grime, and I rinse and repeat with Bar Keeper Friend, and then I rewash again with dish soap simply because I notice that Bar Keeper friend leaves a white film. Other than that, these are the best pans I have owned... no more non-stick pans for me!!!

I didn't realize I ordered a different version of D3 which is called D3 "everyday"I already owned a 12in D3 classic skillet pan. I actually really like this everyday set. The handles are much more comfortable but the pans them selves are equally as thick as my orginal pan. Great pans that I hope to use the rest of my life. The everyday version is cheaper than what I could find on Amazon. I highly recommend them. Please know how to cook with Nonstick. If you don't learn then you will for sure hate any stainless steel or cast iron pans.

I was very excited about receiving this set after researching new stainless steel sets to replace my dated pots and pans. Upon opening the set I was impressed with the feel of these pots and pans - they are not overly bulky or heavy and the handles felt good in my hand.Having cooked on stainless steel before, I tried out my new pots and pans with confidence, enjoying the even heat distribution and ease of use facilitated by the nice weight and handles. After using my pots and pans a few times, I have started to notice curved lines that go with the grain of the two pans I have used the most. I only use wood utensils so there should not be scratches and I have not noticed this issue with other pans I have owned. I do not know if this is normal but makes me wonder ... After using my pots and pans a few times, I have started to notice curved lines that go with the grain of the two pans I have used the most. I only use wood utensils so there should not be scratches and I have not noticed this issue with other pans I have owned. I do not know if this is normal but makes me wonder every time I use them if there is some sort of quality issue. I also noticed scoring marks along the outside lip of one of my pots. I had contacted customer service about the issue with the outside lip of the pot but they said it was due to their polishing process and was a normal issue. My other pots and pans from this set do not have these prominent score marks - this may not affect the use of the pan but it does not look very nice for a pan with a high price point.I personally am not happy with all the issues I have already had with these pots and pans after only having them for a few weeks and wish I had not bought this set.
I noticed that for braising the lid doesn’t seal. I found out the hard way. After heading meat in a sauce for 45 minutes, most of the sauce had escaped through steam and by the time I uncovered, there was a burnt mess on the bottom and sides of the pan. Fortunately the meat was still nice and tender but the sauce was reduced to half or less and most of the spices had burnt into a thick bottom and side layer. Fortunately due to the fact it was stainless steel, with some baking soda and some boiling water, I was able to dislodge and clean to a shiny pan. I was disappointed that the lid doesn’t fit tight enough to seal.Otherwise, I live everything about these pans. They cook evenly and well. Now on the hunt for a good braised with a lid that seals. :(
I have worked as a professional chef, and am an avid cook at home along with my wife. We both LOVE these pans.Having worked with similar pans before, I was really excited to own my very own set for the first time, and they haven't disappointed. The heavier pans are a little difficult to turn on their sides with one hand (while reducing sauces), but that is my one complaint.Even still, these heat up superbly, retain heat well and evenly, and are just sexy all around. Pan frying is the best. Perfectly crispy salmon all around and still medium in the center.Great pans. Thanks All-Clad
I am HORRIFIED! I am sick to my stomach! I just GAVE AWAY my used $800 set of very good SS cookware because I decided I wanted to buy the BEST. I just recieved my $1500 worth of All-Cladd SS cookware and used two items for the first time last night. All I did is boiled some ravioli for 5 minutes in the saucepan and that is all pitted. And I warmed up some butter and cheese to make a sauce for the ravioli in the skillet. It turned dark brown and is literally destroyed!!!!!!!!!! I am so sick I could puke! My other stuff, which was nice but half the price, still looked like brand new after 18 years of use!! Now I buy the best of the best and in 10 minutes it looks like that?????? I had a 20 minute conversation with customer service and she informed me that she can't ... MoreI am HORRIFIED! I am sick to my stomach! I had a 20 minute conversation with customer service and she informed me that she can't help me and get this, and I quote, "I'm sorry but I have no experience with All-Clad cookware. I personally use a different brand. Sorry!". Oh my GOD!!! I asked to talk with a supervisor and she said shw would have someone get in touch with me tomorrow. I am sick to my stomach and don't know what to do other than wait for that call and probably return it. The sad thing is I just gave away all my other pretty good stuff then for no reason. And why on earth did the bottom of the pan turn brown, too???? It was not over gas, or a grill or a fire. It was just a normal electric stove burner!!! HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this set! It is my first nice cookware and a total change from what I was using before, which was a dangerously scratched and flakey non-stick set from Walmart. These All-Clad Pots and Pans are perfect for "everyday use" so the name fits. I do use them every single day. I like the handles much better than the traditional All-Clad handles. I do wish the pictures shown on the site were accurate...the handles in the pictures show a dip for the thumb. This dip is not present on the handles of the actual pots and pans so that was a surprise upon delivery. I would have liked the thumb dip, but I suppose it is harder to produce and was removed as a cost cutting measure. Nevertheless these are great pots and pans and the handles are still nice without the dip. There ... MoreI love this set! Nevertheless these are great pots and pans and the handles are still nice without the dip. There is a learning curve to getting the heat just right to add oil and start cooking but once achieved these pans are not sticky at all and are great for cooking all types of dishes. I am a big fan. I am happy to find a quality product that is Made in America. I was a metal fabricator for over 6 years, specifically in steel and stainless steel, so I know the amount of work that goes into these. I love to see the old school craftsmanship. I hope the Everyday line is expanded to include a steamer set or some more varying sizes of pots and pans as I am interested in expanding my set over time.
I have been using my All Clad 10-Piece Set for over 20 years. This set is a workhorse and nearly indestructible. I have had water evaporate out of a pot unattended which discolored the pot, I have burnt food in the pans, and I have knocked them around a good deal. With a little elbow grease and a scouring pad they look good as new. Anyone complaining about food sticking to the pan simply doesn't know how to cook. These pans are durable, have good heat distribution, and are well made. I've never experienced a loose handle on the pans, pots, or lids. I love my OG D3 set and have never even considered upgrading to the later models or copper-bottom set.
From the beginning we have had issues with discoloration and now also apparently etching on the inside bottom of the pans. This is quite disappointing for a pretty expensive set of pots and pans. However, generally the pans perform well and I have found that a lower temperature setting than used with other pans seems to give superior results.Had we known the extent of extra care and work involved with keeping the All Clad pans clean and looking good we would not have purchased them. As now we have a set of new pots and pans that look like old used pots and pans. They sounded good in ATK reviews perhaps they have others to clean them for the chefs.
