I moved up to AllClad from another brand of tri-ply cookware simply because it was on my bucket list. My old set was fine but the change was like moving from a Ford to a Lincoln. they both do the job but the difference is in the quality was immediately apparent upon unboxing the 8" and 10" fry pans. I've since acquired 9" and 11" French skillets, with the same impression (why are those no longer made?).The biggest difference was how evenly the All-Clad heats up and how well it stays that way. I'm not a master chef by any measure but that predictability is helpful and gives me more confidence in what I'm doing (I can ruin things better LOL!).If I had a quibble it would be the instructions calling for medium-low preheating. What is that, anyway??? Videos show ... MoreI moved up to AllClad from another brand of tri-ply cookware simply because it was on my bucket list. What is that, anyway??? Videos show cooks waving their hand over the pan; but I don't have a thermometer built into my palm! I called customer service, who said it was 275 to 325. Great. So I bought a cheap infrared thermometer from Amazon and used it to find out where the Leidenfrost is for my pans, and now All is Good. :)I'll note one more thing. I was originally impressed with All-Clad at a friend's. She had a gas range. I have electric. The difference isn't just words, so All-Clad responds differently on gas and electric stove tops, and electrics differ from stove to stove. You have to learn your stove top as well as your All-Clad to have them make good for you! Lesser pans may be more forgiving, but All-Clad should be used properly to do its best.

Have a whole set of AllClad cookware — excellent quality , however their nonstick does not match the same high standards. Bought 2 -10’ inch nonstick stainless steel frying pans — same thing after a few months — nonstick starts to peel & make marks in the pan.So expensive yet Noteworth it.

This pan is impressive. I have owned other brands that claim fast heating due to a special bottom, but none have every given me such even heating. It is so nice not to have to constantly stir onions to get them to fry evenly. I understand why they offer a lifetime guarantee--this is a high quality pan. The handle did not heat up on me. The 12' pan is too large for my over the counter cabinets, but fit fine in my corner cabinet as well as the dishwasher. The instructions warn that washing in the dishwasher can add spotting to the finish, but the pan was a bit large for me to wash in my small sink, so I put it in the dishwasher. The staining was minor and was limited to the inside of the pan. I also thought the pan was hard to balance when filled with water (I have ... MoreThis pan is impressive. I have owned and used the same set of All-Clad cookware for 30+ years. Several years ago my daughter in love urned up my 10” skillet. I limped along and then saw this 12” skillet! My heart took flight! It is so perfect. How did I manage with a 10” skillet?
All-clad's D3 pans are "Made in the USA", as is this one. The non-stick feature is fine and I believe, superior to other non-stick pans that are available. It is also quick to heat, with a comfortable handle and fairly reasonable weight. It does require heating on low or medium and use of little bit of oil, butter, etc. And then not to soak a hot pan in cold water, not to clean it in dishwasher or with abrasive sponge, chemicals. If the folks who've written the non-positive comments follow the "manufacturer directions" this pan would have lasted (as it has done for me) longer than any pan on the market. Go USA!!
I love the size of this pan. It's bigger than anything you get in your average cookware set, but smaller than my family sized wok. It's perfect for cooking one pot meals, or for cooking several portions at once. It makes three and half grilled cheese sandwiches at once. The heat distribution is nice and even. Everything I've cooked has come out lovely, like I would expect from a ss pan. The weight is good, though it's a big pan so it's obviously on the heavy side. The handle is all metal, but I haven't had a problem with it conducting heat. I've been able to hold it the entire time cooking. My one disappointment is eggs. Why y'all? Why do eggs stick to this thing like glue. I have a lot of ss. I cook exclusively on that and cast iron. And I make eggs multiple days a week. I know what I'm doing. But this pan. I had to scrub hard to get them off.
I bought this pan about a month ago and have been experimenting with it on a variety of foods. I've done a couple of braises, chicken breasts and thighs (boneless and bone-in), and veggies including shiitake mushrooms, which tend to stick easily. I've read other reviews about the pan sticking. Yes. It will stick. Any stainless steel will. However, if you deglaze the pan with 1/2 cup or more of liquid (I've used water, chicken broth, heavy cream, and vinegar) almost everything that's stuck (the fond) will come off. I'm also religious about cleaning the pan and make sure to soak it in hot water before I start cleaning. I go through a lot of Barkeepers Friend, but my pan still looks as good as it did on Day 1.
Love all of our all clad people pans including these until after about a year of use the larger of the two started to totally bubble and peel around the edges. Don’t use in the oven, stove tope for eggs and omelets generally only do not sure why this is happening to something so expensive Not the same quality I have experienced or expected. Trying to go through their warranty but they make it impossible. Waste!
I've been cooking with this cookware for well over 15 years and I can tell you it's effortless. No hot spots, easy to clean, nothing sticks EVER! This 10-pc. set covers all the bases. You could stop right here. But for me I find 3 additional All-Clad items have proven to be useful additions over the years, they are: #1 The Roaster with Rack (turkey, roasts, casseroles, lasagna), I use this regularly. #2 The Pasta Pentola though I now use it infrequently because I've found the 3-qt covered casserole (included in this set!) is just the right size for soup, sauce, and pasta when cooking for 2-4 ppl. The Oval Bakers (set of 2) are essentials; I use them constantly for individual entree portions, sides, and baked desserts. It's ALL-CLAD all the way... BEST INVESTMENT EVER!2 TIPS: #1 I highly recommend that you "season" your All-Clad pans before first use, to make them 100% nonstick but without that yucky, peeling surface. (Find simple instructions on YouTube). #2 Never use steel wool pads. Instead clean your All-Clad pieces ONLY with Barkeeper's Friend and they will gleam like new for decades. Seriously.
The 10" version of the pan performs as well as my 12" version. Heats up quickly and is mostly non-stick. Love the even temperature and the lightness of the pan. Much better than the graphite pan I recently bought from All Clad, which underperforms in all categories except weight.
