Great frying pans. Very solid, heavy (not overwhelming), frying pans. I wish the handles did not get hot. There have been many complaints about the handles, which, IMO are a bit uncomfortable, but I purchased a silicon handle for the 12" and it works very well. My only complaint, I use only brand new, highly rated silicon utensils. I was a bit confused when there were light scrap marks, not into the finish, but I expected to see nothing, no scuffs, no marks But you can clearly see light circles from stiring scrambled eggs. These very light marks did not wash away. For the price, I was a bit sad. It took quite awhile in my old Calphalon pans to see any marks at all. But, they pans cook very well and feel like quality pans.

I saw some prior reviews complaining about the handle on this pan. But, the pan was on sale and made by a reputable company. I thought, "how bad can a handle really be?"I hope my naivete will be forgiven by those negatively impacted by this pan handle, most notably my wife. My hands hurt as I type this, left with the imprint of the sharp upper edge of the torture device All-Clad calls a handle.I've experimented, trying many different hand positions and grips, to try to find a way to pick up this pan without causing harm to my hand. All attempts have failed. At the gym I curl 45 lb dumbbells with ease, but in the kitchen I can't pick up my non-stick pan without pangs of regret surging from my hands to my soul. What on earth was All-Clad trying to do with this ... MoreI saw some prior reviews complaining about the handle on this pan. A handle is a simple device, known since the ancients discovered the art of pottery. In all of the time that has passed since the Egyptians and Mayans were forming handles on clay, there has never been another handle worse than the one on this All-Clad pan. T-Fal's similar but much less expensive non-stick pan has a wonderful handle it's not complicated. It's round with a rubbery silicone grip. All-Clad chose to use a steel handle with sharp upper edges tip to base.If you want your pan's handle to double as a tool that can scrape the flesh from a buffalo hide in some post-apocalyptic fantasy, buy this pan. Otherwise, please heed my warnings.

I am so disappointed to have to write this review. I purchased these pans in June of 2020 and loved them for the first year or so of use. After that, the non-stick surface of the much more often used 10" pan started to degrade. I would like to make it clear that I used only plastic or wood utensils with this pan and always hand washed it using a non-abrasive cloth. Once the pan started to get sticky, and based on its appearance, I started to worry that the non-stick surface was now in our food, we stopped using the pan and I emailed All-Clad's customer service. I had registered the pans with them and was careful to keep all of my receipts. I emailed them in April of 2022 (my pans were not yet 2 years old) and they responded quickly asking for additional pictures of the pan. I sent the pictures immediately and never heard back. I emailed again yesterday (7/6/22) and said I was following up on my claim and got this response today: "In response to your inquiry, we do regret that you have experienced an issue while in use of your All-Clad cookware and we do appreciate your sending in images to help in the evaluation process. In a review of the images received we were not able to find or determine a manufacturing-related origin or cause to your stated issue as the images reflected wear with use which the warranty does not cover. The warranty as written provides for coverage against matters determined by the manufacturer to be a result of some aspect or component of the manufacturing process." So apparently, they are not responsible for the break down of their non-stick surface. Period. I am embarrassed to say that I recommended this set to my sister (who is now having exactly the same issue with her pans) and she then bought them for her brother-in-law. Please look elsewhere for non-stick pans. These are not the quality pan you think you can expect from a company like All-Clad and worse, they don't stand behind them. I don't think it's crazy to expect a pan to last more than 2 years and I certainly did not purchase these pans thinking they were in any way "disposable." They are now nothing more than cumbersome paperweights.

My wife and I have avoided bacon for years. It makes such a mess on the stovetop it just never was worth it. Finally found the All Clad Hard Anodized Nonstick Chef's Pan. Cooked bacon today with the lid on, low heat that still cooks evenly, and enjoyed bacon and eggs with no stovetop cleanup needed.I've used the HA 8" frying pan for years. Cooking in it is a breeze. And, no, I have not scratched the surface. Having scratched virtually every other "Nonstick" pan I ever bought you eventually learn to use the right tools with it or better yet, just swirl the food in the pan and flip it as needed. All Clad's Hard Anodized is A-1 in my opinion. Love the Chef's Pan.
We just replaces our 10 in. and 12 in. skillets, for which the non-stick coating was completely shot. I was worried that these new ones might be thin and poor quality. However, the skillets themselves are very nice. Even though the handles are a big step down from the old ones, the skillet itself is still about as think and heavy as the old ones, and conducts heat nicely and evenly all across the bottom (the most important thing). We fried meatballs out at the edges of the skillet last night, and there was no problem with nice, even heat distribution that we could tell. We were very pleased with that and with the heaviness of the skillet.
This is my second set. The first set did not have the extra plate on the bottom. I believe this new style cooks a bit hotter than my originals; not better, just hotter, so need to pay attention when setting temp. Also knocking off one star for the redesigned handles. The earlier version’s hollow handles are more comfortable and cooler to hold than the newer, solid stamped handles. Still great nonstick everyday cookware and really appreciate the easy cleanup in the dishwasher.
I bought these for my wife being she wanted a new 12 inch non stick pan , now i personally have no need for a non stick pan stainless steel for me all day , but i do have a line cook back round so its easy for me . Now if you want your wife to cook for you get a nice non stick pan and give her tips . Now there are some reviews that say they take to long to heat up on induction , we have an older induction cook top and they heat up just fine , now to the rest of the reviews that the non stick doesnt last comes off on your food , do not wast your money on a non stick pan to use it on over medium heat there just not ment for that just buy stainless and get some non stick spray if you are not familar with cooking technics . Bottom line these are great so far and im sure ... MoreI bought these for my wife being she wanted a new 12 inch non stick pan , now i personally have no need for a non stick pan stainless steel for me all day , but i do have a line cook back round so its easy for me . Bought a small 8” one on discount at Marshall’s to see the quality, oh well apparently I’ve never used non stick before. And I ve dumped hundreds if not thousands to individual pans from calphalon and greenpan (which I believe is a racket, wasted $140.) Durable if you have the capacity and basic skills to use and care a non stick pan. It’s been 2 years w/ everyday use. Not a single blemish. I am a gas user so don’t know about induction etc. i wish larger sizes are available at brick and mortar stores. Since it feels like sacrilege ordering online without handling and getting the feel of the pan. In any case, this is it, one non stick pan to rule them all. Thank you All clad!
Like many on this thread, mine started to flake only a couple months after use. I filed a warranty claim and they said it was due to overheating. I told them I just use it to make eggs, and it's BOTH of the pans that started to flake. They rejected my claim.I told them how it's certainly due to the quality and not the overheating. Then they said it was due to scratching. They literally changed their reasoning - with the same photos in front of them. It seems their forensic team of scientists really love to change their mind often and not trust the customer. They suggested I send in the pans with postage paid so they can have their warranty people look at it more closely - despite already sending 5 photos to them thus far. That's a PITA. I'm just going to order ... MoreLike many on this thread, mine started to flake only a couple months after use. I filed a warranty claim and they said it was due to overheating. Looking for a nonstick frying pan set. Have had All-Clad for a long time Thought they would be a great addition. Had to order this set. When they arrived the surface of the larger pan was damaged. Looked like a hazy ring around the bottom. They were in the original packaging.Returned them promptly to the store where I ordered them. The young woman at checkout was less than interested and said I would receive my refund on my card in 7 to 10 days.Read other reviews that claim same damage. Seems to be a packing or manufacturing problem.Went to another well known kitchen store and bought their set. Works great. No issues.
