Chose these over Viking cookware, mainly because of the price difference. Quality seemed to be comparable between the two brands. We were also wanting made in USA and only the Viking professional products were. The rest were made in china, and all of the all-clad products were made in USA. Now as far as ease of use, these are very easy to clean up, the polished stainless takes a lil extra work to keep new looking but it is worth the effort. Don’t put on high heat and the nonstick should give you plenty of years of extraordinary service. If you are worried about the nonstick peeling off the d3 also comes in pure stainless without the nonstick.

All-Clad Canada will not honor your warranty

I’ve had this set for almost 2 years, a little over 8 months into ownership the non-stick material in the smallest pot began to separate. We don’t use these in the oven, never over med/high heat on our gas stove and at that time only ever top rack dishwasher which has a broken heating element. I contacted All-Clad Canada assuming the great product reviews would lead to great customer service, and it couldn’t have been farther from that. First when starting the process through email I was told I had to pay for shipping to Ontario, after calling they apologized and said this was an error. That all-clad Canada cannot replace any items from this set, that they were unable to “just get one from the US", my receipt was not valid with all-clad USA so I couldn't try and get it replaced from them. My “only” options from there were to take the cheaper non-stainless steal non-stick pot or the stainless steal pot with No non-stick option or nothing and have the defective pot sent back. I was then told this product was discontinued in North America when I got mad at how slow, and utterly useless my "warranty" was on a $1000 set of pots and pans, but in defeat finally I just said send me a non-stainless steal pot as it was better then nothing, especially if they are discontinued.This is when I called bed bath and beyond feeling like I was still being screwed and had opposite experience, their customer service agent named Sheryl within 10 minutes of hearing my story apologized and had me a new exact pot sent out immediately. Thanks again Sheryl!Unfortunatley that pot has just started to have the same separation issue so I will contact bed bath again and hopefully have it replaced.Interesting to note this "discontinued" item is still for sale, thanks again All-Clad Canada, Figure It Out!!

Great Set

This cookware set is high quality. I was leery about purchasing because of the price, but I knew I wanted a set that could stand the test of time, so I took a deep breath and dived in.The construction and design look and feel as if they were made with the intention of lasting. The design of the set is beautiful and the nonstick feature looks to be well crafted. The handle design is good, so far, it does not get too hot when cooking. There are two little things, one is more a personal preference issues (I wish the big frying pan were a little deeper), the other is functional (I wish the lids were designed so that they did not get so hot).

Hubs & I love this set!

My husband and I love this pan set! We are amazed at how evenly cooked the food is, and how much flavor and moistness it adds, specially to meat. Our chicken dinners are never boring and when reheating or cutting cold meat, It's obvious to how much moisture still remains within. I presonally preferred the stainless steel set but because my husband is not a patient chef, I needed to stick with something that would scare him off. He now enjoys cooking more than before and looks forward to making new and unique dishes. The only unfortunate experience with this purchase was having to order the set 3 TIMES to have one complete, not scratch or pan warped piece. Look great at first, but doesn't last

I have had this set for 1 year. In 6 months the non stick large pot peeled off rendering it useless. Now at year 1 mark the non stick on the 3 quart essentials/sauce pan is peeling. When I requested replacement they only were willing to replace with standard unit. I wanted non-stick and they said those were not available. I have not had this happen on various much less expensive non-stick pans. I cannot believe All-Clad put a product out with this lack of quality!!! so disappointing.

Nice Looking But Poor Quality Nonstick Material

I really truly don't understand the all-clad hype. They are very nice looking cookware sets and they are very efficient to cook with -- but they scratch so very easily, their not non-stick cookware is unconscionably hard to clean, and there is significant discoloration with just a few months of use. There is also, even at low heat, the cookware gets so freaking hot that you can't even touch the handle or the cover with your bare hand.But my biggest problem is that I just saw the nonstick material separated from the metal on one of the saucepans -- in just 5 months! I tried going through All-Clad's "legendary" support, and while their responses were quick, they had a long list of demands that would take a long time to meet -- once all the demands are met, she will very graciously tell me whether or not my claim is accepted. Or, I said, I could just return it to Bed Bath and Beyond and stick with brands that stand behind their warranties. The warranty is useless if you have to jump through hoops only to be told they don't cover saucepans, for nonstick issues.

Non-stick coating doesn't last

We got these pots and pans a little over a year ago and already notice scratches in the non-stick coating. We have never used metal utensils and meticulously care for these. After reaching out to all-clad they claim scratches are minor imperfections that are not covered under their warranty. Clearly the non-stick coating is being damaged which means it is likely getting into the food being cooked. This is also only a year of use which means it will only get worse. This seems unsafe to me. Wish I had just got the stainless steel pans instead.

Pretty & Good Weight

The All-Clad set is pretty and the few times that I have used them, the non-stick surface works well. I really like the weight of each pan in the set . . .much easier to lift that the all stainless set! The real test will be over time as I see how the surface holds up with use. I am hopeful that my silicone tools will help them last.

She's a bit on the older side and thought that maybe one of the big pans was nonstick, but the rest were like the ones she'd had for so long. Why would she think that this company that made such well regarded cookware would create something so absolutely abysmal?Within perhaps 6 months of me using them like any any normal pots and pans according to the care instructions on the website (to which I would like to note, they have now changed their care instructions and these are no longer really advertised as *dishwasher safe*) the film on the inside started peeling away. Immediately I thought this was some kind of odd defect and called my mother about how we might contact the company for a replacement. I will say that we did get the option to replace the pieces that had started to peel in a relatively prompt manner, so props to the customer care team there.From that point on I was very diligent in only handwashing the pans (a hastle most of the time but I didn't want anything to happen to my mom's gift as we were not going to be able to get any replacements from this point forward). Of course, I am only human and every now and again I'd need to send the pans through a normal wash because I was short on time and drying rack space in some way or another. You would expect that pans treated with otherwise what would be considered too much caution would come out just fine on the other side, right?NOPE. Not in the slightest.I unloaded my dishwasher this morning to find my medium sized pot peeling like a 3rd degree sunburn or perhaps a snake in the middle of a molt. I had seen some issues on the edges of the the other pans after hand scrubbing, but nothing that rendered it usable. This is unusable. I honestly don't even know what I'm supposed to do at this point. Even if I peel away all of this film, can I scrub away the faulty adhesive so I'm no ingesting whatever chemicals they added to it? I've considered going to a few friends with some metal working tools to grind down and re-polish the inside so it's maybe usable again.I cannot fathom why this company would have taken their perfectly good set of pans and added this useless film to them. (I'm assuming it's to cash in on that 2 year planned obsolescence type production.) Especially since after it comes off it just becomes a health hazard. There's no redemption for my pans, which I find to be an absolute shame.I'm not looking forward to when my mother comes to visit and I can no longer hide that her gift was in vain because she got so excited that "The pans that I love so much are on sale!". No mom, the one you love weren't on sale, the company enticed you to buy something they know is faulty and they still got about $800 dollars out of you.I bought a 20 dollar nonstick pan from Bed Bath and Beyond 5 years ago that's held up better than these. Good riddance.

This set makes me excited to cook!

I would like to start out by saying that I like cooking sometimes. Sometimes it is more of a chore. This set had made cooking a lot more enjoyable! Until I received this set, I was unaware that All-Clad made nonstick cookware! The look of this set is very pretty too with stainless exteriors and dark nonstick interiors. I much prefer the look of the stainless outside because with the typical nonstick the outside of the pots/pans are usually colored and over time that type of exterior chips, fades, etc. This set's exterior is much more classic and professional. I have noticed that water boils faster in this set and what a difference in clean up too! Everything slides right off or rinses off without much effort. The stainless exterior comes out dry and the nonstick interior just needs a quick towel dry for the droplets that didn't evaporate during the drying cycle of the dishwasher. The first thing that I made using this set was cheesy eggs. I didn't use butter or non-stick spray (which in the instructions it actually tell you not to use spray) and the eggs didn't stick at all! That wouldn't be possible in a stainless set (at least with my experience) and with my old non-stick set (which was old and very tired) eggs still would stick to the pan without spray or butter. I would definitely purchase this set for myself or as a gift for a very special occasion (daughter's bridal shower, housewarming, etc.). It is a little on the pricey side but with that comes great quality that you would expect with the All-Clad name and, more importantly, this product is MADE IN THE USA!!! Just a note- there is some weight to these pots so if you need a lighter set this is not the one for you, but if you are looking for a set that is going to cook evenly, last a long time and make cooking and cleanup a breeze then look no farther!
