These are probably the most comfortable travel shoes I’ve ever owned. I purchased them in advance of a month long trip with lots of walking, and my feet were never sore, even on days where I walked 20 km. However, I was really disappointed to find that the shoes wore through at the big toe by the end of the trip. It also happened to my partner who purchased the slip-on Tree Dashers. This is the second pair of Allbirds tree runners I’ve owner that this has happened to. I understand that there may be quicker wear with the natural materials, but I hoped that they would last more than a few weeks before wearing through. I really do love the shoes, and will repair them and continue to wear them, but I wish the front toe area had more reinforcement.

I have heard good things about Allbirds. My wife had a pink colored shoes from other brand. When she mentioned the shoes are getting worn and she might go get another pair like those. I went online to check the allbirds and found a pair of similar color on sale. I bought them to surprise her. I ordered the shoes of her regular size 6.5. However they run too tight on her. I wrote back to HELP and explained the problem. It was my fault for not looking it carefully that those are not exchangeable. I offered to pay extras just to get the right size so she could wearing them and enjoy them. The HELP answered no because it is the company policy which I can't argue. I've been wearing and loving my origina dashers since summer 2020 and they've been amazing. The only issues I've had are the lack of tread and I bought a really light colour that always looks dirty now. So when the 2.0s went on sale I decided to upgrade to a darker colour. So far I love them, I will say they're requiring more a break in period than my originals did (which were comfy right out of the box) but otherwise they're great. Sizing is the same, still incredibly comfortable. I haven't been able to take them on a hike to test the tread yet, only used them on city paved trails, but I can already tell they'll be a big improvement from the slipping I used to experience with my originals. Plug for the quality of these as well, after 3 years of heavy use of my ... MoreI've been wearing and loving my origina dashers since summer 2020 and they've been amazing. Plug for the quality of these as well, after 3 years of heavy use of my originals (for about 6 months of the year) on pavement, trails, rocks, ect they're still in perfect condition aside from being very dirty. No holes, tears, and the laces are still perfect. I was worried when I originally bought them that because they were made of plant products they might wear out quicker but my mom replaces her asics normally every other year and I'm on year 3 with mine still going strong so no complaints in terms of quality. I'm expecting to get the same durability out of the 2.0s with hopefully less dirt now that I got a darker colour.

I've bought and tried so many sneakers for long distance walking and nothing fitted comfortably. Either my feet would bother me during walking, the soles are too bulky or my feet just hurts after walking, something always felt uncomfortable no matter the brand. I'm a little overweight so my feet are wide and can swell up at times so I usually buy a size 8. When I tried these on at the Philly store I had a feeling these might be the perfect sneakers I've been looking for but they didn't have my size. I debated for a while to order them online because of the price since I spent so much on other sneakers but I bit the bullet and got them anyway. OMG! I only wished I got them sooner, I wouldn't have wasted $$$ on other brands. I can run errands after walking and don't feel like I have to get home to rip them off. Thank goodness there's a sneaker that fits SUPER comfy! I would recommend them if you struggled like me.
Always on the hunt for comfortable AND stylish/sporty sneakers, I happen to see a woman wearing these at the grocery store. I was surprised to see Allbirds in what looked like an athletic sneaker! Once I got home I of course searched the website and decided on the look and color of the Tree Dasher 2. Not sure of my size in Allbirds I bought both the 7.5 and 8. I ended keeping the 8 because my toes were right at the front of the toe box in the 7.5.My feet require shoes with a wide toe box and narrow heel. I love the space my toes have in these sneakers and my heel doesn’t slide out of the shoe when I walk. I am a fan of the slip on shoe with laces to tighten if needed (not lazy, just always in a hurry!) The only thing I can think of that I was worried wouldn’t break in is the comfort under my heel after a long school day (teacher) on my feet. After a few wears I notice my feet are acclimating. (I’ve worn Hoka’s, NewBalance, Brooks and Rothy’s).
I became an Allbirds lover in 2019 and I’ve worn them almost exclusively — with the exception of my Winter boots — since that time. I started out with Tree Runners, then switched to Tree Pipers for more style. I have had foot issues for years and always use orthotics, but those don’t always mitigate the pain. I recently decided to try the Women’s Tree Dasher 2’s and I am blown away by the amount of support they provide. I over pronate with my left foot, which is almost impossible to do with this shoe because of the width and firmness of the sole. I’ve already bought another pair in another color and I need one pair for exclusive wear around the house. Thank you, Allbirds, for creating a shoe that gives me more freedom to be on my feet again. Pro: looks nice, supposedly sustainableCon:- no female-specific last- fit (short height to upper material)- sizing (horrifically small compared to every other athletic shoe brand everywhere)- employee couldn’t-care-less attitude about sizing issues- more interested in keeping your $$ by putting you into a much larger size than addressing their sizing issuesEven if this shoe is meant to fit sock-like, we still shouldn’t have our toes rubbing the top material or end of the shoe. I wear a W11 in everything, and this fit like a 9.5 or 10. I could barely get my wide forefoot, high arch foot into the little entry hole, and once they were on, my toes were so crammed they were bent.I ended up returning these and trying Men’s sizing because Allbirds seems to have ... MorePro: looks nice, supposedly sustainableCon:- no female-specific last- fit (short height to upper material)- sizing (horrifically small compared to every other athletic shoe brand everywhere)- employee couldn’t-care-less attitude about sizing issues- more interested in keeping your $$ by putting you into a much larger size than addressing their sizing issuesEven if this shoe is meant to fit sock-like, we still shouldn’t have our toes rubbing the top material or end of the shoe. I could barely get my wide forefoot, high arch foot into the little entry hole, and once they were on, my toes were so crammed they were bent.I ended up returning these and trying Men’s sizing because Allbirds seems to have misaligned their women’s and men’s sizing - W11 is euro 41 which is a M8.5, which I absolutely believe; vast majority of shoe brands align a W11 to a M9.5.So the women’s sizes here run at least a full size small as far as I can tell from the top end of the size offering. When I returned these the store clerk mentioned the shoes are unisex, so I sized up to a euro 43 (M10.5 Allbirds) which is my hiking boot size, and these STILL smashed my toes. We’re talking so tight my big toe’s trimmed toenail could rip a hole in about a week. My foot, which measures at a euro 42.5, was too long for this 43.I have no idea what is wrong with this brand’s sizing or why I seem to be the only person reviewing these who has had this ridiculous issue, but ladies, be prepared to go to the men’s size of your usual women’s size if you have any desire for a relaxed toe experience. There are no female-specific anatomical benefits to buying this shoe, or apparently anything womens from this brand, because it’s made for men.I live near the Boulder store and the employees could NOT care less that the sizing is so terrible in these shoes so I gave up on Allbirds. Certainly there’s a sustainable footwear company out there that uses a remotely standard shoe last, and I bet there’s also one that makes shoes for women instead of treating us like narrow men’s feet.
I love them! I got them for health walking and that's what I use them for. They're incredibly comfortable and squishy and cushiony. I highly recommend them. This is my second pair after I basically used up the first in about a year. I could have kept them but I had walked through my first pair, soles and uppers. I walked into the store and bought this new pair and left the old ones behind, and the store will handle recycling them. How great is that?I do think they fit a bit small, as my left big toe ended up poking through the upper in the last pair. So I went up from an 8 to and 8 1/2. I was a little nervous that I would end up tripping over my toes from the larger size, but it's been completely fine.I feel good about Allbirds due to their eco-friendly ... MoreI love them! I ordered size 9.5W. Unfortunately I had to return them because of they weren't long enough, although the width was just right. These shoes have some arch support but they are subtle. For overpronating feet like mine I need more arch support or other orthotic insoles. They shoes themselves felt comfortable right off the box. The soles were soft yet a bit firm, just the nice amount of cush with a little bounce. Nice for walks but I wouldn't run in them because they didn't hug my feet firmly enough for running in. For walks they are really comfortable if only the length was a bit more. The toe spaces were wide enough that I didn't feel my toes were cramped from the sides. The mesh upper was snug, soft and flexible. The subtle pink was very pretty.I'm not crazy about ... MoreI ordered size 9.5W. I purchased this item on 11/22/22 and began wearing around 12/1/22. Pros-absolutely loved the color and shoes were comfortable. Shoes were worn for light use-walks around the neighborhood, going out to the store. Were never actually used for running. While initially happy with the purchase, noticed loose strings in the right toe area almost immediately. By 2/1/23, after 2 months of light use, full hole in right toe showed and shoes were no longer in presentable enough shape to be worn in public. At this price point, I expected shoes to hold up better. I have had other much less expensive shoes that have held up for years. I had heard such good things about this shoe, but was really disappointed that shoes did not make it more than 2 months before being not presentable.
