The Tree Dasher 2's (along with the Dasher Relay style) are my favourite Allbirds kicks! They offer great arch support and comfort along my heels for my all-day, day-to-day wear. It has a wider toe box compared to other styles of Allbirds, which my bunions and I love. I usually wear a women's 11, or a men's 9.5 - I take the same size for Allbirds. The extended shape of the heel may be off-putting for some people. But it provides great stability for someone like me who's on my feet 24/7. I've worn this style at work where I'm on my feet for 7-8 hours, to then dance the night away in the same pair of kicks... and i'm still very comfortable in them as I stumble into my favourite breakfast spot after sweating through my clothes the night before.Try it out - your feet ... MoreThe Tree Dasher 2's (along with the Dasher Relay style) are my favourite Allbirds kicks! I've been wearing and loving my origina dashers since summer 2020 and they've been amazing. The only issues I've had are the lack of tread and I bought a really light colour that always looks dirty now. So when the 2.0s went on sale I decided to upgrade to a darker colour. So far I love them, I will say they're requiring more a break in period than my originals did (which were comfy right out of the box) but otherwise they're great. Sizing is the same, still incredibly comfortable. I haven't been able to take them on a hike to test the tread yet, only used them on city paved trails, but I can already tell they'll be a big improvement from the slipping I used to experience with my originals. Plug for the quality of these as well, after 3 years of heavy use of my originals (for about 6 months of the year) on pavement, trails, rocks, ect they're still in perfect condition aside from being very dirty. No holes, tears, and the laces are still perfect. I was worried when I originally bought them that because they were made of plant products they might wear out quicker but my mom replaces her asics normally every other year and I'm on year 3 with mine still going strong so no complaints in terms of quality. I'm expecting to get the same durability out of the 2.0s with hopefully less dirt now that I got a darker colour.

This is my 3rd pair of Tree Dashers in rotation. I am 60 years old, a runner, walker, hiker, healthcare worker and I have some chronic foot issues due to a bunion and high arches. Also plantar fasciitis that flairs up from time to time. I am not exaggerating when I say that these new shoes make me feel 10 years younger. I have minimal foot pain while wearing them even after a full day of work and they have supported me to be more active. Easy to wash too! Also to add that I wore an earlier pair of tree dashers on a solo trip to Europe where I city walked on average 20 km daily, putting about 300 km on the shoes. They are still fine. I did put orthotic insoles in for that trip but generally I find the Allbirds insoles are just fine. Thanks!!!

I loved the look and idea of these Allbirds and had compliments on the shoes for the 2 days that I wore them casually (although everyone thought they were Sketchers). My feet are really easy to please so I am very disappointed. Size 7 fit perfectly. They were so frustrating to put on my feet that it became the weekend joke. "That's what you get for buying fake Sketchers". Next, without padding under the laces, tying them somehow bruised my feet, even with Smartwool socks. As for walking, they were comfortable however, with that large heel, it caught on the back of stairs several times. My feet are so simple that I thought I should write about this. I'll be returning them.
I’m a nurse, which means I’m on my feet all day everyday. I also have absolutely princess feet and they pack a sad with most footwear - from pressure sores to blisters to ingrown nails my feet are sensitive!Just bought My first ever pair of Allbirds and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long! They’re comfortable and look great. So far so good with the princess feet too. I’ve been wearing them for the last week or two and my feet aren’t bothering me at work at all!Would 100% recommend to anyone. Love my new kicks! Will definitely be investing in another pair!!
Purchased these for my wife as a late-second Christmas gift follow to the boxing day sales week. She is an active long distance runner and was needing a decent pair of running shoes. Her first impression of the Tree Dasher shoes were "a comfortable fit". We ordered a size US 6.5 and they were a thumb space apart from the tip of the shoe.On her first run with these shoes on, at some point of the distance she noticed a rubbing feeling and continued to run to complete the distance of 10km. When she removed the shoe, a red blister was on the side of her foot.Hopefully the shoes will break in over time. For now she has decided to only wear the shoes for shorter distance runs. The 4 star rating is based on the style and colour way.She heard about Allbirds through a ... MorePurchased these for my wife as a late-second Christmas gift follow to the boxing day sales week. Pro: looks nice, supposedly sustainableCon:- no female-specific last- fit (short height to upper material)- sizing (horrifically small compared to every other athletic shoe brand everywhere)- employee couldn’t-care-less attitude about sizing issues- more interested in keeping your $$ by putting you into a much larger size than addressing their sizing issuesEven if this shoe is meant to fit sock-like, we still shouldn’t have our toes rubbing the top material or end of the shoe. I wear a W11 in everything, and this fit like a 9.5 or 10. I could barely get my wide forefoot, high arch foot into the little entry hole, and once they were on, my toes were so crammed they were bent.I ended up returning these and trying Men’s sizing because Allbirds seems to have ... MorePro: looks nice, supposedly sustainableCon:- no female-specific last- fit (short height to upper material)- sizing (horrifically small compared to every other athletic shoe brand everywhere)- employee couldn’t-care-less attitude about sizing issues- more interested in keeping your $$ by putting you into a much larger size than addressing their sizing issuesEven if this shoe is meant to fit sock-like, we still shouldn’t have our toes rubbing the top material or end of the shoe. I could barely get my wide forefoot, high arch foot into the little entry hole, and once they were on, my toes were so crammed they were bent.I ended up returning these and trying Men’s sizing because Allbirds seems to have misaligned their women’s and men’s sizing - W11 is euro 41 which is a M8.5, which I absolutely believe; vast majority of shoe brands align a W11 to a M9.5.So the women’s sizes here run at least a full size small as far as I can tell from the top end of the size offering. When I returned these the store clerk mentioned the shoes are unisex, so I sized up to a euro 43 (M10.5 Allbirds) which is my hiking boot size, and these STILL smashed my toes. We’re talking so tight my big toe’s trimmed toenail could rip a hole in about a week. My foot, which measures at a euro 42.5, was too long for this 43.I have no idea what is wrong with this brand’s sizing or why I seem to be the only person reviewing these who has had this ridiculous issue, but ladies, be prepared to go to the men’s size of your usual women’s size if you have any desire for a relaxed toe experience. There are no female-specific anatomical benefits to buying this shoe, or apparently anything womens from this brand, because it’s made for men.I live near the Boulder store and the employees could NOT care less that the sizing is so terrible in these shoes so I gave up on Allbirds. Certainly there’s a sustainable footwear company out there that uses a remotely standard shoe last, and I bet there’s also one that makes shoes for women instead of treating us like narrow men’s feet.
Super comfortable shoes, which is hard to achieve for someone like me who has foot, back, knee, and hip problems— plus oddly shaped feet. I have a high instep and did have to wear them without socks. I’m a dog walker and they were just incredible for that work. Great grip for hiking too! That being said: I’ve only had them 3 months, and they’re already starting to wear down significantly on the soles. So that didn’t inspire confidence that they’d last long. But the biggest reason I returned them was the smell. Yes, I know I was wearing them without socks, but I do that with other shoes I have and don’t have this problem. They soak up all the sweat and things you step in throughout your day and just hold it all in. They soak up all the sweat and things you step in throughout your day and just hold it all in. I was starting to get embarrassed going into public places because of it. And I’m not a person with particularly smelly feet! I washed them a few times, but the smell would inevitably be back in 24-48 hours. I just can’t wash my shoes every day— I honestly don’t know who can or wants to. When I was returning them, the cashier at rei said she was not surprised at all as this is a known problem with this company and they are working to fix it. Would buy a new model if they fix the stink issue.
I have a number of pairs of the Runners (tree and wool) and love them. Thought I'd try the Dashers for more support on longer walks. I had ordered my usual size, but unlike the Runners, the Dashers couldn't accommodate my orthodic, and I had to move up half a size. I am now finding them very comfortable, and I love the extra cushioning of the sole. My only quibble is the one piece upper. The cushioning around the heel and the laces do keep the shoe in place, but only just. I worry that if the stretchy material around the shoe loosens at all, my foot will be slipping. I'd much prefer a traditional tongue design.
This is my 3rd pair of Tree Dashers. I buy them for comfort and for the inside toe protection which prevents my aggressive big toes from poking holes through the fabric. They're light, well cushioned and snug around the top of my foot, preventing errant pebbles and sand from entering and providing moderate support. What's taken getting used to is the increased need to put each shoe on with two hands, because of that support. Can't do it any other way. And, the extended sole behind the heel sometimes is stepped on in a crowded bus, or sometimes gets caught on pavement, walls, you name it that's close to the ground. Otherwise, love 'em. And in a year will likely by the next verson. Thanks for asking.
