I have become a new devotee of Alpha H products after falling in love with Liquid Gold.I recently added High Tide Water Cream, Midnight Reboot Serum & Golden Haze to my skincare routine and woweeee, I love them all.High Tide Water cream is a game changer for my 50 year old skin; moisturising, cooling and plumping it like no other cream before. I use it daily and love to add the Golden Haze Oil over the top for added glow. I keep a jar in the fridge for when my skin feels red or irritated, or my under eye area needs de-pouffing.High Tide also sits beautifully under my makeup with no pilling or caking. This is a solid member of my face care family now, thanks Alpha H for your brilliant and reasonably priced products!

This is definitely a good lightweight moisturiser, probably best for oilier or combination skins. It does indeed apply like a ‘watery’ gel and delivered sufficient hydration for my combination skin. It has a lovely fresh scent and feel too. The one downside is that it didn’t seem to absorb well and pilled when I applied make up on top. Maybe best for non-make up days? Or maybe just didn’t work for my skin. Saying that, was a lovely product to use and did the job.

I was looking for a basic moisturizer for acne-prone skin combination, and I was really interested in trying the new launch of Alpha-H. The ingredient list of this gel moisturizer is flawless with lots of goodies which do not contradict active ingredients in my routine. It is lovely on application. It sinks immediately and never peels. It is perfect for a warm (hot) season and humid climates. Love it and will repurchase it in the future.

.... but I was left a little underwhelmed. My skin is very dry, especially at winter, and my expectation were quite high for this as I am a raving fan of almost everything that Alpha-H produces. The texture is nice (sort of like putting jelly on your face) which is cooling (don't really need that effect) and it goes in fast. A tad too fast for my skin. I was left adding another layer. And my normal every day alpha-h moisturiser too in the end. Two stars as it is still doing something, and appreciating that I might have expected too much from this.
I was recently told by a skin specialist that the reason I was breaking out - when I've had pretty good skin for the past 10 years - was because of dryness (which makes sense as I just moved to Otago which is super dry compared to where I was living previously). I just searched "hydrating moisturizer" and this came up. It had the most economic price tag - and I'd had good experiences with testers from this brand in the past that made me willing to give it a try... and I saw results overnight (or like within 2 days). I am obsessed. So have used this plus the Drunk Elephant B-Hydraâ„¢ Intensive Hydration Serum 50ml (which wasn't do enough by itself) It's definitely more of a gel than a cream - but the moisture lasts all day - and I love it. Definitely a dewy finish/\
If you are an oily gal this is for you. I am not one to jump on the glazed donut trend as I am mostly already pretty glazed due to my natural oils. However this moisturiser is amazing. It soothes, plumps and balances your skin in such a way that your oils stop freaking out and actually regulate with time. Its also super light and absorbs quickly which i love. Slightly tacky when first applied it absorbs quickly and it becomes a great canvas for anything to be popped on top, leaving you dewy. Overall my new best friend! I never used to moisturise but now that has changed. Definitely will be a constant in my routine from now on! I was pleasantly surprised by this moisturiser. I got it in a recent TSV where I wanted the other products so this was a bonus. I love it! I have fussy skin which is dry/dehydrated but cannot tolerate heavy rich creams so winter is a nightmare and my skin always flares up with rough patches.This moisturiser is beautiful. It’s cooling on the skin and soothes whilst keeping my skin hydrated and giving a beautiful glow to my skin. My hubby asked what I was using this morning as my skin looked lovely. I told him I was back to using Alpha H products and he said I should stick with them.I used to use Alpha H when it first came to QVC and loved it then I got distracted by other brands etc….. not any more. This product feels great going on the skin, has a subtle sweet mint aroma (and colour) and a light creamy gel like texture. I’ve been applying it now for a week with no adverse skin reactions. I am a fan of Alpha H products, so bought this cream to compliment my routine (I normally use another brand of moisturiser that is a little heavy for summer). As silky as this feels on the skin (and not in the greasy sense) I do find that one application in the morning isn’t enough to last the day unless I apply the Alpha H Haze oil. That’s the only reason I gave four and not five stars. Would I re-purchase this? Yea I would.

The following morning my skin did not look oily at all. It actually looked and felt smooth and plump with a nice texture. After 72 hours my skin felt really smooth and hydrated. I liked the way the water cream soaked in and it went great under my regular foundations, both liquid and powder that I usually use. My only difference was I had to use a regular sunscreen as during the trial I did not want to use the usual Daily Essential 50+ moisturiser I usually use. Even though I am late 50s my skin is still quite oily and I have deep lines rather than fine wrinkles. Overall I give the new water cream a big thumbs up and I have been pleasantly surprised and amazed at the results.
