When I ordered this jacket I was unsure between the sizes, I went with the 50/14 because I wanted a cool weather jacket I can wear a sweat shirt under. I don't think that I will need to add anything besides the thermal liner because the jacket is pretty warm. Anyway it fits small, the 50/14 fits snug but will be perfect once I get it broken in. I can only speak to this based on riding between 80-55 deg F weather conditions. During the 80 deg weather riding I was very comfortable, I had expected to be hot being that this is a heavy leather jacket but the textile panels really help with airflow. In the cooler temps I needed to layer with a long sleeve thermal but that was all I needed.I was in-between sizes and decided to size up and it fit PERFECTLY. So definitely size up if you are on the fence. I will say it was snug but I'm sure it needs to break in. My elbows rubbed on the armor and made them irritated but nothing unbearable, I am hoping it will loosen up in the higher movement areas.

I can't say I've tested it with a crash, but it definitely seems like it would hold up well and save your skin. Quality leather, extra protection where you need it.The jacket is stiff at first, but it breaks in nicely. I'm 5'3", 135lbs, and I have a large chest for my frame. I got a size 44, and it fits PERFECT. I can wear a t shirt or a long sleeve underneath, but I would not be able to fit a sweatshirt. I don't think I'd need one anyway, the removable liner seems like it would keep air out. Although it is a low collar, I personally would like no collar at all.
