I have recently had a bit of a health scare, so looking to reduce my round-ness, I decided to cut out cows milk from my diet, along with a plethora of mouth watering foods that make my life bliss (lol), so tried this product. In a word, AWESOME. Tastes like milk but without the hang ups! Chilled, superb and if you drink tea like a whale, or coffee like an American rancher/Cowboy, you might consider putting this first in your finest china. A definite win for me as I am finding it difficult to differentiate the taste between this and cows milk. Well done Alpro!

I tried the " Alpro Oat original" as the OATLY Drink was unavailable. This is nothing like Oatly , with so many other ingredients."Water, Oat (10%), Dietary fibre (Inulin), Vegetable oil (Sunflower), Calcium (Tri-calcium phosphate), Maltodextrin, Sea salt, Stabiliser (Gellan gum), Vitamins (B2 (Riboflavin), B12, D2)"The inclusion Sunflower oil makes a very unpalatable drink which leaves an greasy film on the top.OATLY is made from Organic oats from the Swedish countryside, pure water and a little salt, nothing else.I use Oatly for making Porridge and a chocolate drink , the oily film on the top of the Alpro drink is very off putting and the taste has nothing to recommend it either. For those of us who have allergies and food intolerance's this pure product ... I just had my first ever taste of this a few minutes ago and it's awesome. It looks different to cow's milk in that it's slightly yellow and if you drink it on its own it tastes a little like a banana milkshake. Mix it in with cereal though and I defy anyone to be able to tell the difference. Unlike cow's milk, there is no stale aftertaste at all so I no longer have to suck on a mint after breakfast. Best of all, and a lovely surprise, is that the best before date is a full six months away! I'll be ordering lots of this in the future and I encourage you to give it a go because you'll be glad you did.

Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado Ive used this brand before so I kind of knew what I was getting. Perfect for my morning porridge and especially adding to my protein shakes. Its a long life (lasts for ages) bland (unsweetened) oat milk so it does not distort the taste from my preferred flavoured porridge normally (golden syrup) or my designated flavour protein shake, blends effortlessly with a good texture. Great added bonus its plant based and naturally lactose free
I was sent this to review by Ocado. I use oat milk on cereal and in coffee regularly and have to admit that I prefer the slightly sweeter ones (as these others don?t have sugar added I?m not sure what the difference is; I did notice that this one contains soluble corn fibre which may or may not be seen as a good thing). It was OK though and did work better in tea than some other brands as the taste is less pronounced. Personally I prefer fewer rather than more ingredients, I would class this as fine but it wouldn?t be my first choice.
Bought this as I ran out of the usual Oatly Barrista. Sadly it's very disappointing that it still seems to have that generic taste of Alpro milks - of soya. I found it really hard to believe I wasn't drinking soya milk. No idea what they do to their milks to give them that taste but, if you don't like soya, this one isn't for you. On the plus side it doesn't split in coffee.
Ocado gave me this to try for free in exchange for a review. I enjoyed it in a glass as a refreshing cold drink. It is naturally sweet without being cloying, and doesn't need added sugar. I also had it in porridge, where it complemented the flavour of the oats. The flavour is too strong to be a milk substitute, so don't try it in tea, and probably not on non-oaty cereals either.
Trying out all the Oat Milks out there. They are all great, but what to me sets this Alpro Oat Milk apart is that is slightly 'thicker' than other oat milks. Therefore, for me it has the edge that puts it slightly above the other oat milks out there. This to me comes closest to cows milk. It does not have a specific taste or smell. It is neutral. The test for me is a cup of tea. Tea made with this particular Alpro Oat Milk is to me slightly better than the other oat milk brands. I would choose to buy this first over other Oat Milks out there. Although the texture is 'creamier' it does not leave the cup of tea tasting like you have added cream to it ... Yuk! who wants that. No it is just thicker, I did not need to use quite as much of the milk to try and achieve the same level of milkiness. This means I used less of the milk so it works out maybe cheaper too if like me you have lots of cups of teas and cereals. This Alpro Milk also tasted slightly nicer with coffee too. Considering this is a long life milk this is very nice indeed. To me it tasted like fresh milk.
Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I do drink oat milk already sometimes, but flit between that and other milks. This is a really nice flavour which I think comes from that chicory root. Good size and good price. Love that its no sugar as I have noticed a lot of oat mills will contain sugar.
I really enjoy the range of Alpro non dairy produce and tried this one out. It was sweet a little too much for myself but found it tasted my coffee from my press for a different take on it and also nutritious on my cereal. I like this plant based milk to make the ever famous brand porridge oats on a cold morning and really flavours the porridge with no need to add any sweetness if you require this. It lasts five days in the fridge once opened and does really keep this long there and always tastes fresh like it is actually fresh milk with cream but obviously not its dairy free. It is so filling also and fills a corner at supper time just warmed in a mug to drink and really tasty. I would buy this again.
