The S2 Pergola is great quality and a wonderful addition to my garden.Last year I bought a free standing 3 x 3 S1 pergola which was a joy to build and only took myself and a friend an afternoon to erect, 14 months on it still looks as good as new and I am very happy with it.I bought the S2 3 x 3 wall mounted variety in april this year and after waiting 2 months for delivery was excited to get it built; unfortunately despite ordering the gutter mounted lighting system at the same time I had to wait until August for delivery which was frustrating as it is not possible to fully assembly the pergola and then retrofit the lights. The pergola with two screen blinds was set up over the weekend. Three people were only needed to set up the posts with cross and longitudinal beams. The rest was also very easy to do on your own (assuming you have some manual skills and technical understanding). The workmanship and quality is very good, except that the drive for the control rail (which opens and closes the slats) was placed too deep in the cross member. The holes and millings were also too deep in the profile (probably due to manufacturing tolerances). As a result, the control rail is under tension (increased wear) and rainwater from the gutter ran through the deep recess in the profile over the drive and then the hand crank into the pergola. I had to make some corrections here myself. Now no more ... MoreThe pergola with two screen blinds was set up over the weekend. The control rail is still under tension, but does not affect the function. The screen roller blinds were super easy to install and work perfectly.Apart from the "small" defect described, the pergola is great in terms of workmanship and structure and would otherwise have received full marks.Furthermore, the delivery time of a total of 5 months was unacceptable (1 to 2 months were specified). Information on the delivery status or delays did not come from Pergolux, only after personal inquiries. This shows that globalization has come to an end.Next year will show whether the pergola will live up to our expectations. So far everything is great and if you can expect longer indefinite delivery times, full purchase recommendation!

Received our pergola and we had decided to put it up ourselves . To be honest the product itself is excellent but what really lets Pergolux down is the vagueness of instructions .Wether you use the web app or instructions that come with the pergola it’s just a series of pictures , that aren’t completely clear . The odd sentence wouldn’t go a miss Pergolux . Good job the staff were very helpful.Eventually when everything was put together very happy with the pergola .

What is not in the documents:1. DeliveryThe delivery consists of 5 long (4x3m+1x4m) and heavy packages. 2 strong people are required for transport. The goods are very well packaged so that no scratches or dents can occur. (Note: it is essential to coordinate the delivery date with Pergolux!)2. Preparation for constructionOur pergola was set up in a north-south direction. Because of the position of the slats, the crank must then be on the right when looking south. In addition to the enclosed small assembly instructions, we downloaded the instructions from Pergolux and printed them out on DIN A4 for assembly. We also downloaded the Pergolux assembly video and slowed down the running speed with Windows Media Player for better viewing.3. Basic framework4 people ... MoreWhat is not in the documents:1. In addition to the enclosed small assembly instructions, we downloaded the instructions from Pergolux and printed them out on DIN A4 for assembly. We also downloaded the Pergolux assembly video and slowed down the running speed with Windows Media Player for better viewing.3. Basic framework4 people are required. First, the two 3m sides are joined together. Slightly loosen the previously attached screws so that the guide rails fit into the groove. If a screw with a ring accidentally falls out, then use the tweezers provided. One person then sets up the 3m side and two people attach the two 4m long side parts.4. Rain gutter, slats, floor attachment2 people are required takes. The corners of the rain gutter are taped with the supplied seal (cut into 4 parts) (can be seen in the assembly video if you look closely). The problem was the insertion of the square of the guide plate into the crank hole, which we solved with three hammer blows to the inside of the square with precise alignment. The self-tapping screws could only be screwed in after small holes had been pre-drilled. The slots on the inside can be covered with the supplied long plastic parts (white and anthracite): simply press in.The assembled 10' x 13' pergola is very heavy and can hardly be moved. We aligned the 4 supports with the spirit level and then inserted dowels (each 8mm) into the stone floor through the holes in the base plates with a masonry drill and fastened the supports with 6mm hexagonal screws with washers.Summary: Well thought-out construction, very good material, easy to set up in a weekend with the appropriate manpower. Good support in the Pergolux chat. The slatted roof is waterproof. We can definitely recommend the 10' x 13' pergola.
Finally got this installed after several weeks of bad weather. All items were very well packaged and had clear stickers on them. It took a longer than expected as we had the roof beam upside down. One extra sticker on the product or a close up in the intstructions would have stopped this mistake and save time. The finish is excellent and the fittings are well designed and strong. We chose a white roof as the light reflects better and doesn't make the house dark. I'm extremely pleased with the product and we still have more to do. Once the electric is connected we will get the heater and lights installed. We also have glass doors on back order for a few weeks time. Once they are installed I'll leave an updated review.Mark and the team were very helpful and quick ... MoreFinally got this installed after several weeks of bad weather. The Pergola is actually fantastic,I love it, it looks great as well. This would have been a 5 star but I experienced a couple of issues with my order. Firstly no LEDs where supplied which meant only 1/3 of construction was able to happen, then wrong LED were sent, so more delays. The other issue I had was some damage (badly bent) to one of the long gutter beams, this must have happened at factory as there was no damage to packaging. I sent photos to Pergolux but did not receive any response. The construction of the Pergola isn’t quick, 3-5 hrs seems quite unlikely, even for a installation team, we did this over a course of 3/4 days, and probably took around 10 hours in total. The instructions aren’t the best as they are only drawings with no words or descriptions. ... MoreThe Pergola is actually fantastic,I love it, it looks great as well. Am tempted to purchase one of the blinds soon as think this would really finish off the pergola. As said above this would have been 5 stars had it not been for the couple of issues I experienced.
We absolutely love this product, but be warned- assembling the Sundream 2 is no DIY job. As a matter of fact it took experience trades people over 50 hours to put the Wall-mounted Sundream 2 up. The instructions were poor with key steps not explained in full even when using both paper based instructions alongside the APP. Luckily the technical team at Pergolux is used to deal with technical issues regarding assembly but having clear instructions in the first place would have prevented all the hassle and countless wasted hours.
The question is, knowing what I know now, would I still buy a Pergolux Pergola? The answer is a resounding YES.From start of order to completion of the build I am 99.9% satisfied.Admittedly, delivery took slightly longer than I had hoped but that was because I didn't fully read the info on the website. (this will be a recurring theme)When my Pergolux Pergola did arrive, it was expertly packaged and the delivery guys were superb. I was excited to start my build but had to wait a few days for a friend to be free to assist me.Come the great day, we glanced at the instructions and set about fixing the uprights to the patio. All very straightforward, the fixings resin bonded through the slabs and the side beams installed. All very straightforward, the fixings resin bonded through the slabs and the side beams installed. Then we fitted the front and rear beams.(Remember I said not reading instructions would be a recurring theme?)Beams fitted, we attached the gutters and set about fitting the roof pieces. Again, all fairly simple but a fair bit of hopping up and down stepladders. With only five slats left to install, I noticed that I had fitted the front and back beams the wrong way round. I don't doubt for a second that the designers in Norway heard my protestations as I tried to blame anyone and everyone for my stupidity. However, not prepared to impose any longer on my friend's time, we finished the job and I sent him on his merry way.The following morning, sitting under my new pergola, I KNEW I couldn't live with my foolish error. So, I took it all apart and reset the beams in the correct order. Oddly enough, because I now knew how it all went together the first time, it was surprisingly easy and I completed the re-jig in about 4 hours, ALONE!!So that's my story and my advice is READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!Very, very pleased with my purchase and I can thoroughly recommend the product to any prospective buyer.
The Pergola S2 gives a very high quality impression and we are very happy with it so far (2 weeks). Mounting it has it's difficult steps and some things are missing in the manuals. At one step it is needed to press some type of fluid into the structure. The Manual does not say what type of fluid is needed. The Pergolux AI did answer that one, basically normal outdoor silicone.Customer support (not the chat support) is slow and delivery times are slow. I want to add some personal items to my new great Pergolux Pergola, but I need some parts from Pergolux to do it. Chat support told me to send an email to Customer Support. It takes at least 3 days to get a reply from Customer support. Having a case number does not help, you are put last in the queue for every reply ... MoreThe Pergola S2 gives a very high quality impression and we are very happy with it so far (2 weeks).
