I bought this watch because my old generation Apple Watch broke. I wanted a cheaper alternative to the Apple Watch and this was it. I love this watch. The battery life is insane. Buy this watch if you cannot afford an Apple Watch!

I purchased the AmazFit Bip 5 from Target and it didn't last a year. The Manufacture Warranty of one year says to return the product to the store you bought it from which was Target. I returned to the same Target I bought it from and showed them the warranty. Target refused to stand by this product and the manufacturer's phone number is out of service. Don't waste your $89 on this watch and don't buy from Target. You are better off buying from Amazon which actually will accept the return and stand by their products. I wasted 3 hours of my time going to Target and dealing with Target on the phone. Terrible customer service.

Got my BIP 5 yesterday and so far I am, for the most part, impressed. Build quality is good, but not out of this world. I'm not sure if I like the "tuck it in" silicone wrist strap yet. Amazfit watches work with Android or iPhone devices. I have the Android phone. Zepp app is required for the watch to operate and synchronize with the phone. I recently upgraded to the Bip 5 from the Bip U pro for more features like Bluetooth calling, pre-written message response to messages, apps and more. A slight wrinkle in my rating is the lack of a simple compass on the 5 which came on the U Pro, though there was a navigation app which requires the user to download another app on the phone (really?!) Otherwise, these are great products, long battery life, and much less expensive alternative to Samsung Galaxy Watches, Apple iWatches, etc.

The Apple Watch, for some reason, would make my arm tingle and hurt, but this watch is super comfortable, even though the screen is quite large, it is not too bulky for me and the battery life is amazing. My Apple watch wouldn’t even last the whole day. Who wants to worry about taking off their watch during the day and charging it?? Not me. This watch is perfect. It does what I need to do. I’m so happy with it that I just bought my husband one just like it. You can also sync up devices among family members and follow their fitness and sleep activity, which is really cool. I bought this watch 3 months ago and I forgot to take it off before I got in the shower. As soon as I noticed I took it off and the screen blacked out and the watch was vibrating uncontrollably. I put it on the charger and it turned on and than started going back and forth with different screens popping up. Now the watch turns off and turns on randomly. Worst part is I emailed amazfit customer service and they told me that I have to take it back to bestbuy since it was purchased online thru them. And to top it off they told me I may have to pay for repairs that could cost more than I paid for the watch!! Save your money this watch is garbage and the customer service is even worse!! Its definitely not waterproof like they claim it to be.

We test my Bip 5 against an Apple Watch SE and Pixel Watch 1 and found that they ready very similarly and the we were able to capture some info that the other higher prices watches couldn't even measure such as blood oxygen levels. The screen is responsive and moves with little to no lag! The band is nice and feels like any other silicon based band, which are changeable, but the watch itself is surrounded by plastic. It seems durable enough and at a glance you couldn't really tell if that's something that bothers you. My biggest gripe by far (and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars) is the vibration function. It works well and is even customizable! Yes, you can actually create you own customer vibration patters in the Zepp app, a very cool little extra. My issue comes from the sound that the vibrations make! It can be so loud at times! You know the embarrassing loud "BBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZ" sound you get if your phone vibrates on a plastic table? Yeah, it sounds like that all the time and you can change the intensity of the vibration but you can only INCREASE it!Overall this is a great little watch! You literally can not beat the available functions for the price and as long as you don't mind a "cheap" watch with a surprisingly powerful vibration function you should jump on it!
