This upgraded echo dot is simply outstanding with all the new and upgraded features. I have a lot of items at homes that works well with my echo dot, such as all my lights, fans and television. I love how it makes ur day so much easier and programming it is super easy as well. It alarms to wake me up then tells me little bits of the news and most importantly the weather. Then also gives me traffic advise closure to when I have to leave. The voice quality and speaker quality is definitely an upgrade from the last one I have. Highly highly recommend this instead of others. You will not regret it.

We are happy with the design, and user friendliness of this device. We have had another smart device shaped more like a hockey puck, but I prefer this round ball design. It lights up with different colors based on a notification. We say “play my notifications, and it lets us know if a package is on the way or if a refund has been issued, for example. It plays the music when we ask, and can make announcements to other devices around the house. We use this multiple times per day to just ask a simple question or make a conversion or do math for us. We get frustrated with her lack of understanding our voice or commands at times, but I think that’s pretty normal. We will continue to use it daily!

One for each of our boys who are 7 & 10.They mainly use them to play music & do quizzes, but there are loads of fun & interesting things you can do with these things, like get weather updates, communicate between rooms, learn jokes, play audiobooks, etc you can have them playing different songs or link them to play the same song at the same time, so you have a surround sound thing going on in the house. We might even get a 3rd one to have in the kitchen at some point so as to better cover all corners of the house. The sound these small speakers put put is pretty impressive.We dont yet have any of our lights or blinds connected to these yet but we might do further down the track. I love this in my kitchen. I use it to help set timers when i am cooking and have a lot of distractions going on. When i get up to make my morning coffee i ask her for the weather, top highlights for the day, then I play music on it to help set my mood. The speakers are good quality. No static or distortion that sometimes happens with smaller devices. I would definitely recommend. Very versatile and can do so many functions. Pairs easily with other smart devices in the home to give you voice control over those items as well. I did wait until it was on sale. They seem to have sales prices on the echoes fairly often so definitely worth the price.

This Echo Dot was an excellent buy (JL had a really good offer at the time so I bought 2). I already had an Echo Show and these little Dots are perfect as a complimentary to the larger speaker. Sound wise, they're not as powerful as the Echo Show but they're fine for smaller rooms. I have mine in bedrooms and love the fact that I can access things like BBC sounds and set a timer so that I can fall asleep listening to my favourite programmes. The Echo wakes me with fab sounds (of my choosing) that fill the room in the morning. And, of course, it's there throughout the day to ask anything I need to know or to make my lists of things to do. I can also phone friends and family using it. Brilliant little device and well worth the money.
