Overly pleased with the clean crisp sound from the new studio speaker. It fills the room with such full sound enveloping you with the sound the way it was meant to be heard. I enjoy the way it has an equalizer placing the way you enjoy music in your hands. From the crisp treble, rich deep bass to mid range tone adjustments bringing it all together for a rich musical journey. And all from one simple, out of the box, to set up full range speaker. The only issue, or negative comment, I have to say regarding the Alexa studio speaker is the way a song would play then after playing just stop. But it’s still processing or playing the next song but no sound is coming out. I’ve found this particularly evident when playing on “group” speakers. Music will stop for a song or two on the studio but can. Still be heard on the dot and eco in other parts of the house. Then after a song or two the studio speaker will join back in. Kind of annoying..But the sound the does come out.. excellent!

Bought this as a supplemental speaker for the other Echo devices in our house. Specifically to use on our deck in the summer. Was easy to set up as all others were. For as small as it is, it creates an output similar to surround sound without other speakers. I would say the quality is as good as any Bose speaker I've heard at the same size. The other benefit is that it configures itself to the environment, but also gives you an equalizer on the app to adjust to your own liking. Now Alexa can join us on the deck. To clarify, this is not an outdoor speaker and shouldn't be left out in the weather. I will be bringing it in at night, but it only takes a minute or so to reconnect after initial setup, just as if the power went out. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Nest Audio what? I tried to switch to Google but I hated the fact the only good speaker they had was no where near good sounding as Alexa's 4th gen premium sound speaker. I returned all 4 Nest Audio speakers and got this bad boy to add to my eco system.I seriously have nothing bad to say about the 2nd gen Studio speaker. It does what I been looking for in a smart speaker and more. It's the deep low low's for me! I have it setup in the living room to replace my two 4th gen Echo's with premium sound. By far the best decision! The 4th gens are awesome don't get me wrong, but in a group they all shine! The bass spreads evenly throughout my apartment at a respectable level yet very much audible. Heck i'm listening to it now writing this review!Pros:-That little sub can fire some waves. I hear deep lows in songs I've never heard before.-Dolby Atmos Spacial Audio definitely works, Often I hear things behind me.-A lot of power in a can :-)-More responsive than Google home-Did I mention the bass?Cons:-So far, it seems it has to do an action a couple of times before It stops randomly rebooting. It used to reboot (maybe twice) when listening to pandora from the alexa app, now it works fine. It also used to disconnect every new bluetooth device a couple times before It got it right. Irritating at first but it somehow fixes itself and doesnt mess up again.-I dont think the mic's are as good as people make it seem. I had to yell a few times at Alexa before she responded at 20 feet away.- Con maybe a pro, you cant push the speaker harder using an equalizer. Its best to use the controls on the Alexa app.Overall on sale (or off sale), its worth it and you wont be dissapointed. Debating on getting another one for full left and right separation. It would be 10 speakers firing at me all at once :-) yeah I'll be back!

My initial impression of this speaker was that it was within striking range of premium speakers for a fraction of the cost. It’s ability to easily provide smart functions and connect to a compatible tv made it very desirable to me. Prior to purchasing I did visit the store to hear this product and I was shocked by just how powerful it was—as someone who drives around with a 12 speaker Bose system I have come to appreciate audio quality. After more research I decided to purchase two of these speakers that could then be made into a home theater system by including an Echo Subwoofer. Setup was a little tricky at first due to user error. I had to reconfigure my Asus router so that my network wasn’t so encrypted. Setup was a little tricky at first due to user error. I had to reconfigure my Asus router so that my network wasn’t so encrypted. Currently both speakers are placed on my nightstands pointing towards my King bed with the Fire TV being placed infront of the bed and the subwoofer will be similarly placed with the TV. I chose to purchase this product through BestBuy rather than Amazon due to the extended warranty and cheaper cost of said warranty. I have not used these speakers long but I would recommend them to others!
I got this to replace my first gen Echo - the one thats about the size and shape of a pringles can : )First off, its absolutely painful to switch your stuff from one echo account to another. You'd think it would be easy, and in fact the app recognized the new Studio right away. But transferring amazon music unlimited (single device) from one to the other was impossible. In the end, I called customer service who did it (which itself was painful as the rep didnt understand english very well) Ok, rant over. This new unit is fine - I expected a huge difference in sound quality and volume - and got the volume part. The sound quality is only marginally better....I had to mess with the EQ, as the bass was way too heavy for me, and I like bass. Overall the main improvement for me is Ill have the blue tooth and wireless smart device capability now.tldr: Its a perfectly fine device and if you're new to the echo world you'll love it. It can crank up pretty loud and remains clear.
Excellent overall speaker. Voice prompts are instantly responsive, seems to perform better than any Echo devise I’ve ever experienced. Sound quality is excellent. Solid bass, mods come out well, highs are there without being too bright. Of course the sound can be tailored to a reasonable degree w/ the EQ in the Alexa app. The DolbyAtmos is slightly underwhelming yet the sound is full and immersive with just this one speaker. I imagine pairing it w/ another would be fantastic. I use this in my BR and moved my Klipsch the One II to my kitchen w/ my Marshall Acton 2 both of which I love too. I prefer the Echo Studio for drifting off to sleep over any speaker set up in my house.
Bought and returned. I bought this expecting more. Initially I was in the market for a JBL Party Box 110 but this got good reviews and people raved about the volume and sound quality. First off, it’s pretty sleek, it’s heavy and not some lightweight piece of garbage. An integrated handle would be nice. But once I plugged it in and started to crank some music off iTunes, I realized even on the highest volume I wanted more … and more base, and more fullness. It’s loud but it’s just not loud enough for me or a house party. Then I start reading about people who have linked two of them together plus the subwoofer to get the ideal sound. I just don’t think having to spend $600 on Alexa speakers which will have to be stationary are worth it. I exchanged mine for the JBL ... MoreBought and returned. I bought this expecting more. Replaced a Sonos One Gen2 with this echo studio in our home gym. I loved the Airplay2, the decent Alexa performance, and the sound quality is far and away the best. If it would function as a Firetv speaker or even a “dummy” Bluetooth speaker it would be perfect.I really wanted something I could connect to my TV in our home gym to boost the volume. I also wanted something that would connect to our Peloton bike too.Install: Setup was easy and it connected to Wi-Fi quickly. At first it kept saying it was not compatible with my Firetv stick but after a minute or two it suddenly decided they could be friends. I’m guessing it has something to do with it registering or something.Size: It is bigger and heavier than the Sonos. I’m guessing it has something to do with it registering or something.Size: It is bigger and heavier than the Sonos. It did fit on the Sonos stand but I opted to add a strap around it to keep it on the base with weight being thrown around and doors opening and closing.Alexa: Responsive even with large fans and a heater running. Performs actions quickly (turning off lights, fans, setting the heater, etc.)Home Theater: Connected to my Firetv Stick 4K (latest model) to improve the sound on a cheap TV. The sound is good and gets loud but it I wouldn’t say it’s equivalent to a sound bar at the same price point. I didn’t find it to be cinema-quality, immersive, or “3D.” That’s fine for me where I just need football games to be louder but buying 2 of these plus a subwoofer would be silly when you could buy an all in one wireless surround system and an Echo for the same price. The volume control is laggy so be careful increasing the volume. As a speaker: I hate that it doesn’t have Airplay2. This was the major “give up” from switching from the Sonos. Im not an apple Stan but Airplay2 should be included and the only reason it isn’t is to force you to use Amazon’s terrible app. I have to Bluetooth connect this or deal with the clunky Apple Music skill inside the Alexa App. I don’t use Prime Music and after 5+ years with Apple Music I have no desire to switch.Sound quality for music: Meh. I listen to loud muddy metal, older alternative, rock, and rap. The Sonos filled a 25x15 empty room beautifully with excellent balance and a full sound including surprising bass. The Echo Studio has clear vocals almost as if it pushes them forward but the mids are lacking and hollow and the base is underwhelming. I have already ordered the subwoofer and I hope the Echo Studio retunes or recalibrates itself over time. Despite being called “Studio” it very much feels like it’s either trying to do too much without enough equalizer or it was designed for voice (Alexa and maybe TV).For me the added functionality was worth losing Airplay2 and the superior sound. If you just want something to play music and perform Alexa commands, the SONOS is far superior.
We have a TV with a beautiful picture but terrible sound. While not unusual and no reflection on the television, streamed content was unwatchable because the dialog could not be heard. We tried different streaming devices then started experimenting with sound bars - starting with one made by the same manufacturer as the display. Still, no luck. Then I tried the Echo which allowed us to pair directly with the streaming device - bypassing the TV.IT IS INCREDIBLE. A single, elegant, unobtrusive device with the most wonderful movie sound. Dialog is clear but without needing to dial down the rest of the audio that makes movies so enjoyable.
I thought this was supposed to be an updated model of the echo studio 2019? Well it isn't. I own the 2019 echo studio and have been very happy with it. I purchased this as an upgrade but it's downgrade. Amazon advertises more clarity (which it does have more clarity) and more bass but that's where the issue is. This has a lack in bass compared to the 2019 version. It is a noticeable difference. I recommend getting the 2019 version for the bass and this one for the clarity. Let's also not forget to add this thing was nothing but issues just like most of Amazons products. Would not play when connected to echo sub. Constantly would pause and drop from the echo sub and would have issues hearing and understanding.
