American Racing is the original custom wheel company. Some say the aftermarket for light alloy wheels was created by the success of the American Racing Torq Thrust wheel. This wheel started its career on the drag strip, but soon found its way to the muscle street cars that came onto the roads in the first half of the 1960s. The Torq Thrust was designed with "tapered parabolic contour", as opposed to a semi-solid modular design, to increase brake cooling and make the wheel lighter. It has been developed over the years to accommodate disc brakes and new hub designs, but the basic style has not change. It was perfected from the very beginning.

The rims have a beautiful finish that looks to be somewhere between a Matte and Satin finish. Super smooth application of the finish that water and junk just can't stick to. I also purchased the Black Spline Drive lug nuts to match with these rims. And boy do they match up and look nice together.

There was a finish flaw on every wheel. It looked like scratches on the face of the tire bead. Some of the rivets were not seated flush against the face of the rim. I have bought the same brand and model of wheel for three different trucks over the past 20 years and have been pleased until this time. I hope That AR addresses the quality issues that plague an otherwise great product.

This is the second Ar62 wheel I have bought for my 1987 Suzuki Samurai. They fit and look great on the stock vehicle. I have two on the front now. I plan to get two more very soon for the rear. I mounted 215 - 75 R15 tires on them.

Got this wheel to fit a stock 1987 Suzuki Samurai. #AR625785, 15"x 7" wheel, 5.5" lug spacing, 4.25" hub diameter. It looks good and fits perfectly.
They told me this rim would work for my car. Turns out it won't, and they're charging a ridiculous amount 25% for their "restocking" fee 25% which is about $171 plus my costs to ship them back. Highly recommend using another company that doesn't take advantage of customers like this.
I have always been a fan and buyer of American racing wheels. They have high standards in quality control. Which is worth to me more than any other name out there that you will pay much more for with far less attention to quality.
I ordered wheels and lug nuts. The wheels were shipped from a city only a few hours away and, showed up four days later. The lug nuts weren't shipped with the wheels, so I called customer service, and got a tracking number. (Customer service was great, by the way.) The tracking number had the lug nuts going to Germany and back. LOL Overall a great experience. I will use BB Wheels again.
I ordered them on a Friday and they got here the next day Saturday. I wasn't expecting them till Tuesday! Had the running boards and hood repainted and I had them installed on Sunday. What a difference it makes my van look after 24 years of the OEM rims. Looks better in person up close and personal. Thank you for getting them here overnight!
The minimal price savings are definitely not worth the headache! They sent me 3 17x8 and 1 16x8, they made me jump through all these hoops for their mistakes. Still waiting for the replacement. Spend a little bit more for a company that will own their mistakes and fix them in a timely manner. Definitely don’t recommend them!
I had read other reviews saying it was tricky to get water into this thing, but many didn't mention it and gave 5 stars so I took a chance. It's nigh on impossible, and I've tried a few methods - my latest is to submerge it and after about 30 minutes I get (what feels like) an inch or so; enough to spritz a plant. I bought it because it isn't plastic, and it looks good. I'm going to keep it as I loathe returning things, and I'm real easy going so I can live with it, but it is close to useless. It sprays very nicely and is a solid, quality piece - if only I could fill it with water .. sigh.
