American Tourister Airconic carry-on Was gifted to me by Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This little case is amazing. The outer hard shell protects from dings and rain. The wheels glide and swivel flawlessly. The inside is packed with enough space for a tablet in the outer pocket and enough room for a weeks worth of clothing to be packed. TSA compliant and light as a feather I highly recommend this carry on for weekly traveling. The lock was easy to set and the handle and pull out handle are both sturdy.

I received this gorgeous pink American Tourister Airconic Carry-On free courtesy of Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This carry-on is awesome!!! The hardshell keeps me from having to worry about my things being protected when things are stacked/packed on top of it, which is great when it comes to any kind of trip. They carry-on itself is super light, so different from my previous one, which was not a hardshell one. It's got space for packing on both sides on the inside. The fact that it has a built-in combination lock makes it even better. This is going to be great for weekend road trips, a week away, or packing up for a cruise.

Bought the same last year in a different colour (āliving coralā, unfortunately no longer available) However this is bright and will stand out at the airports luggage carousel. Has since increased in price on all websites. Bought on sale at Myers who had the best price at the time. Have not used as yet, but the one I purchased last year was extremely light weight, roomy and so easy to manoeuvre. Perfect size for travelling to USA as within their specified dimensions . However, would be great if they had a larger size for flights to other destinations that are more generous with their size limits. Survived the 3 flights to USA and back, was packed to the max and nothing broke.

TLDR; Zip broke, needed to wrap the case, no help from customer services.Unfortunately the zip broke when packing for our return journey from our holiday. Bad timing. We managed to get one of the zips to go round the length of the suitcase and then had to use a TSA lock to lock the zips together. We didnt have any confidence that the zip would survive the flight (and handling) so we paid for wrapping at the airport at a cost of $25 to ensure we could get our luggage home safely. This was the *first* use of the suitcase and was reported to the customer service team, who have stated that there are no refunds and returns must be under 21 days old, even though there is a warranty for the product. The photos show the design of the case has been done in a way that the ...Ā MoreTLDR; Zip broke, needed to wrap the case, no help from customer services.Unfortunately the zip broke when packing for our return journey from our holiday. I bought two of these airconic cases for a month of travel and I'm only giving them 3 stars because the design (having half your luggage in the bottom and half in the lid) is incredibly awkward with the weight of the top lid making it difficult to open. It is also awkward to get things out of the carry on case on the plane. I should have bought a soft case where you can easily remove articles you might need while flying and easy to slip additional items into the bag when packing. I can see the American Tourist do a nice soft suitcase, wish I had bought this.
This is an amazing product and great value for money. People has to be realistic when you place a review and it's accessible to the public to view. I've been selling this brand for a numerous years and so far I can only said it's the best affordable durable suitcase in the travel market. I've been reading some of your comments and clearly the feedback on cons it's really not something that has failed the product warranty. Scratches or marks or dents, etc are clearly airline damage in transit between airports due to the rough mishandling people unfortunately do in a hurry to upload/downloading luggage on planes with a short time schedule. But in reality warranties apply to genuine manufacturing faults on zippers that genuine don't comply to the product functions not because has the slider came off because they get caught and stuck during the transit in carrousels or pull up handles that get stuck/jammed due to the rough mishandling again those aren't fairly a fault. But some people that man made faults or wear/tearing are expected to be under warranties clearly not! So think twice again next time before reviewing a product and make sure: "Is it a genuine fault"? I hope this helps to clarify some customers out there on what a genuine fault could be to claim. I own several products from this brand and they have been great š
This was a regrettable buy. I went all the way to Westfields Parammatta and was served by the Luggage Manager who told me itās the last piece. I had to wait very long for that info, but do appreciate that his staff tried to find one. This is a very light compact carry on. Downside is that it isnāt as durable, mine had scratches on the case, so likely it was a return or some staff might have used it as there were no price nor brand tagsā¦so I canāt give this a 5-star. The wheels and handles arenāt as strong as my other Samsonite. It is light but isnāt expandable which I found annoying, so I would only use it for short travel.
I bought two of these cases recently. The zip burst on the first one on the flight out, which meant my luggage inside was nearly completely lost in transit. The second case broke on the flight back, with both the zip bursting and the wheel completely collapsing. On both occasions the suitcases were not overfilled or overweight. American Tourister Australia were excellent, and sent me a replacement case for the first broken one before my return trip home (however, not in the colour I originally bought it in.) American Tourister UK are doing absolutely nothing about the second case claiming it was my fault the wheel collapsed. Apparently warranty means nothing... Terrible quality cases and terrible quality service. Also interesting to note that the suitcase is available on the UK website to buy, but completely wiped from the US website...
Bought 3 medium sized cases. Have used them on two trips. Both times all three cases have ended up back with supplier for repairs under warranty. Each time is the same issue - the zip is separating from its track. Each time I put these cases in to the luggage check in they are fine, when I collect from the carousel the zips are separated. I suspect these cases fail when they are stacked on top of each other by the baggage handlers. Very poor quality case and I wish I'd never bought them. Have had zero issues with larger Antler and Samsonite cases I have that have done 30+ flights
I purchased this suitcase in the orange colour. The suitcase is light and looks good but it is very poor quality. After the 1st use on air travel a wheel fell off: suitcase was returned to Myer and the wheel repaired. On the 2nd time it was used for air travel the suitcase developed large cracks in the plastic, through to the lining, on both sides. This time on returning to Myer I was advised that it was airline damage. Myer staff were helpful but overall a very disappointing experience. Suitcase has been discarded. Won't purchase this brand again: I have suitcases from other brands that have been used for air travel for years without issues.
