I've long been fan of DecoArt's Americana acrylic paints. They just seem to make all other paints pale in comparison. The colors are vibrant and the pigment holds up even when watered down without becoming faded and washed out appearing. Nice consistency whether used straight from the bottle or diluting to use as a watercolor without the lumpiness I've noted with other brands.

This is high quality paint. The colors are bright and the paint itself is not too thick but covers nicely. It also mixes well with glue to make art projects. I used this paint with my class to mix with glue to make neon signs. They came out great and the colors remained bright after it dried.

Coverage is good. Paint mixes properly in bottle when shaken. Dries fairly fast so you can second coat quickly. This paint mixes with other paint to make different colors and shades of the color you want it to be. Washes off brushes completely. A great craft paint for a large selection of surfaces.
These DecoArt acrylic paints are more fluid = low viscosity - than many others, but provide very good coverage with the first layer already. A brand with similar consistency would be the Matisse FLOW range, for example. These low viscosity paints are good for details or layering, which is what I need. I love the range of colours by DecoArt, and the price is excellent for this kind of quality product.

I use acrylic paint for all sorts of craft projects. I cut my 3 grandkids hand prints out of thin plywood. As they are different ages, their handprints were 3 different sizes. I took a wood ring and glued the largest handprints onto the wood, the middle size on top of the large ones and the littlest as the very top layer. I painted it with Americana Acrylic paint which covered very well and gave it to my daughter as a gift. She loved it! I also paint rocks and make greeting cards using Americana paint. They have a super selection of colors. The price for Americana is low but the coverage is very good. With some other brands, I have to do 2 or 3 coats for full coverage. That's why I'm an Americana person!
Shopping at Michael's has been very rewarding for us.. They are very well stocked in all the acrylic paints that we need. America Deco Art is one of our favorite..My hobby is painting. I started at age 44 and I am now 73. My husband and I retired a couple my years ago during COVID. We took an apartment right around the corner from a Michael's store in Covington, LA.
