These glass measuring cups are simply the best. You can clearly see the levels on the side of the cup. They are dishwasher safe and easy to wash by hand. You can easily use them in your microwave or traditional oven to heat or re-heat things such as gravy and mixes. Hot, room temperture, refrigeratioin or freezer...they stand up well over years of use.

Very durable. I have another Fire King measuring cup which is about 45 years old. I dropped the 2 cup and needed to replace it. Good quality.

The measuring cup is okay although the spout seems off center to the eye, but I HATE, HATE,HATE the handle!!! Can't they make it connect to the bottom part of the cup???
Bought this to go with my set. These are old fashioned and the best! I always buy these glass ones if i need to replace. I do find putting them in the dishwasher eventually removes writing of the measurements though

It is a measuring cup. It seems to be fitting in nicely in a drawer with its bigger 2-cup cousins. It only works if it’s right side up (note that its bottom has a smaller diameter than its top), otherwise expect a mess. It should not be used for physical combat unless in a strictly defensive role. I am providing this review after receiving a third request from CT and starting to feel guilty about not accepting my civic responsibility.
The web page describes this measuring cup as "shows both imperial and metric measurements". 32 Imperial ounces converts to approximately 909 ml. However, if you fill the 1 litre version of this cup to the 32 ounce level, it reads 950 ml, which happens to be the approximate conversion from 32 US ounces to ml.(The exact value being 946.353 ml).I'm not sure if I got a bad cup, but it appears to me that this cup measures US ounces, not Imperial ounces.
I purchased this without looking closely at the measurements marked on the side. Instead of using increments of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 C it has 1/3, 2/3, etc. These are least used measurements when cooking. Definitely not useful unless you are strictly using metric side of cup.
So, it's a measuring cup. I have an older one of the same size, same brand (having 2 is just handier), but this new one has smaller printing on it - why??? My original one has large easy to read markings. Totally unsure of why anyone would think that the "new" one is "improved". It still works, just a bit annoying.
