I have both the unflavored multi collagen protein and the unflavored bone broth powders. I really like the multi collagen protein and have continued to order.The unflavored bone broth powder tastes really bad if you mix in plain water or something that is not strong enough to mask the taste. It also does not mix well, even in luke warm water straight up trying to stir in with a spoon. It does better if you add to something warm like soups and stew. I live in a very hot location so soups are out of the question for most of the year unfortunately.Would consider the bone broth option if you had it in pill form. I am specifically looking for additional type 2 collagen to help with joint issues.

I make bone broth regularly for the benefits, so I was very excited about this product. However, I am very disappointed with this protein powder. It just doesn't blend well. I've used a hand blender and even pulled out my mixer and it just clumps up and doesn't blend - regardless of it being mixed with hot, cold or room temperature liquids. I've even tried using 1/2 the scoop. Bummer. Who wants to drink a protein shake they'll have to chew? I wish I could return the unused portion, but I doubt they accept it or refund it. This was a waste of money for me. I hope it works better for you.

This protein tastes terrible. I really wanted to like it because there are some great ingredients and it's packed full of protein, but it's just not palatable. I used this in smoothies thinking that the powder would be tasteless and good to add to any variety of fruits/vegetables, but it tasted like a strange combination of cardboard and something bitter- unable to hide the taste no matter what I tried. I don't know if this would have tasted better simmered into a soup or stew, but I'd honestly be afraid to put this into a meal given how badly it ruined smoothies. I'm still overall a supporter of Ancient Nutrition, but not this "flavor."

When I drink it over ice it reminds me of a favorite mocha drink from our local coffee shop (I stopped drinking coffee 3 years ago) SO this bone broth has been my tasty (healthy) replacement for the sugary, caffeinated "stuff" of my past.In addition, my kids love when I mix it with frozen banana and a scoop of nut butter. I immediately noticed a very strong bitter taste due to the stevia and monk fruit used as sweetness. The sweetner flavor is very pronounced and it detracts greatly from the taste. I tried mitigating the sweetner impact by adding a dash of other types of sweetener. I also tried adding a splash of coffee. Lastly I tried mixing the product in milk. I really wanted to like this flavor. I went out on a limb and tried this one hoping I’d like it. The salted caramel flavor is a bit weak, it honestly tastes more like vanilla. But my biggest problem with this product was how hard I had to work just to get the consistency smooth enough to drink without having to chew or spit out clumps of protein powder. Never had this problem with any other flavors. When I shake or blend this product over half the container fills up with this weird foam and almost makes the shake unpleasant to drink. I’m not sure how I ended up with 3 containers of the product but I would like to return my unopened containers for a refund
Tastes like dirty water. No chicken flavor whatsoever. Had to add all sorts of spices and dried onion/garlic just to get some flavor. Also tried the Turmeric variety which tastes like even dirtier and more bitter water. I even tried the S'mores variety which tastes mostly of stevia and a little bit of monk fruit with only the slightest hint of chocolate. Very bland. I don't dismiss the benefits of the product. The benefits are great, but the taste is so bad it's hard to get through a cup of it. It would be nice if you actually made a product that tasted of a truly rich stock. I understand the "flavored" varieties needing to be without a meaty or savory quality but the Pure? It's a joke that you are trying to pass this off as having a "savory chicken flavor."
Dr Ax products came highly recommended. So I gave it a try and have not been disappointed. It is pleasant . the quality of this product good in that I drink it with hot water as a morning drink, it can alos be added to smoothies, that on my list to try. I have tried other products and feel Dr Ax is superior. looking forward to feeling better one day at a time. I have asteoarthritis with cartilage lose, the Turmeric added to this product made my decision easy. I have several long hikes planned for this coming2023 summer so choosing the right product is a must. I think I have found it. thank you Dr Ax.
I tried to use this as a sipping broth, but I couldn’t even take a big sip. I do not like the flavor at all. I mixed that with a packet of hot chocolate, and the mixture foamed so much that I doubt I received any health benefit. I have tried mixing it with cocoa powder and monk fruit, but I have gotten a headache both times. I don’t know if the headache is from cocoa or from an allium hidden in the broth ingredients (despite the representative implying there was nothing in the broth base besides chicken and water pre-dehydration).I want to feel better but I might just have to make my own broth. After all, I don’t like stevia, so all their flavors are out.
