The RACD was a cheap Andis model and parts, including blades (which are non-standard) are no longer available. The manufacturer says blades cannot be sharpened, although I managed to sharpen mine. The cam that drives the cutter is at the end of a long motor spindle, putting extra load on the motor front bearing, which on mine was worn out. From the wear on the blade it looks as though mine had done a lot of work, but it's not doing any more. Mine was very cheap and was listed as faulty, but my money would have been better spent on one of the cheap Chinese clippers, which would have worked for a while.

Very good dog clipper excellent for clipping my Cavachon

I have done lots of research on dog clipper as I have three mini schnauzers to groom.And these clippers came very well recommended .They look well made and are very light all blades are best of steel and all in all they look and feel great. I will give further review when I cut the three mini schnauzers which will be a great test. Ps with this brand I don't see a problem. Regards gordon.
