Love the yarn. You can tell its good quality. And the fact that it is machine washable makes it excellent for blankets ect as gifts.

This is a great cotton to knit with. The stranded nature of it does mean it can split quite easily. I have knitted a number of projects with it including a lace shawl and am currently making a Cardigan with it. Whilst this yarn can feel stiff and rough to begin with, it does soften up and feels beautiful. I’m a little bit obsessed with this cotton.

I love the colour and the feel of it knitted up. It has better twist in it than the Anette Eriksson XL Eco Cotton Ecru 200 g that I bought at the same time. It keeps coming untwisted and splitting so I have to be really careful knitting it. Not as enjoyable as the Indigo, with which I don't have to be very careful

I have the same Eco cotton in Indigo & it knits up really easily. The Ecru doesn't because it comes untwisted easily, so it is too easy to put the point of the needle between the plies, splitting the yarn & making the knit messy here & there :(
Product I’d easy to knit and has a very natural finish. If you need to have many balls to order online , be careful has you will get different color batch and colors are very different . Not good for big knitting project
I love all the Annette Eriksson Eco cotton range. I like the “rustic” look, which makes the XL also ideal for home decor projects. However, I found the last batch of the normal Eco cotton in ecru not so pleasing, both the touch and the thickness had nothing to do with other batches I’ve purchased before.
Cotton is usually expected to be a little stiffer to work with however, this yarn is very rigid. This is honestly only suitable for projects that need some structure (like a tote bag) and I would advise against using it in clothing projects just because it would be very rough on the skin. The name is also just a little bit misleading - I know it's clearly listed in the description but first impressions of yarn with 'eco' in the name would not usually lend to polyester being in the composition. For the price, I was hoping for something a bit more luxe.
Never again. This is shocking yarn and wildly overpriced at $14!It does not retain its twist so you are forced to control the tension on each individual strand and it constantly splits. The only thing that it is good for is sitting on a shelf unused.I will never buy this brand again.
Unfortunately this is very poor quality. Very loosely plied together, very splitty and pretty much awful to work with. The loose plies leave a messy finish. For the high price I really expected better. Will never buy again.
It's not as bad as the other reviews have said. I'm currently making a sweater and it's decent! I would probably not repurchase it but that's what you get for buying yarn online without testing the texture in person.
