I’ve been looking forward to Ankers Qi2 magnetic battery packs for some time now, and after testing it out I’m just somewhat satisfied. The product itself delivers on its promise, but I’m not sure Qi2 does much difference in a battery pack format for use with iPhones.I’m on an iPhone 15 Pro, and usually charge it up when it hits 20% battery remaining. Using this pack, the charging starts off quickly at 15w speed, but as the battery pack and the phone heats up a bit the charging speed throttles down to just a few watts. It does not get very hot, less than other battery packs, but hot enough for the wireless charging to lower the wattage. I compared the overall speed to charging with the Apple Magsafe Battery pack at 7.5w, and it’s nearly as fast as this Anker when ... MoreI’ve been looking forward to Ankers Qi2 magnetic battery packs for some time now, and after testing it out I’m just somewhat satisfied. I compared the overall speed to charging with the Apple Magsafe Battery pack at 7.5w, and it’s nearly as fast as this Anker when charging an iPhone 15 Pro from 20% up to 80%. The Apple one is however fully depleted at that time, while the Anker has 60% capacity left and can take the iPhone battery back to 100. That might take some time however due to the throttling.Weight wise the Anker is on the heavier end, but it’s also 10k mah capacity. The kickstand will only work standing up vertically, not horizontally, it’s a bit flimsy and not as usable as on the Belkin packs. The indicator screen on the Anker is great, I really like to see the remaining percentage rather than guessing by four light indicators as many other power banks have. It’s also more convenient than the Apple one that you need to connect to the iPhone to see if it has any power remaining.Whether this is worth the money depends on your use case, just don’t buy it for wireless charging speed because that doesn’t really matter much. I’m happy with it and will use it when traveling but my older Belkin or Apple battery packs will remain daily drivers. I might look a bit at the new Belkin when they arrive later this year if they are a bit smaller.

This is a convenient wire-free option to attach to the back of my MagSafe case/ iPhone and charge on the go. It’s compact and small enough to carry in a purse or bag or attach to an iPhone. It’s thick compared to my iPhone and awkward to hold, it’s heavy and adds extra weight. I have other charges that are slimmer and charge just as well as this but this one is sturdy and holds up well. The magnet is strong and attaches to the phone underneath the camera lenses but falls off.The kickstand is unique and a great addition to the charger because I can stand my iPhone up and watch videos or FaceTime without holding it.I love the white color; it goes well with my iPhone 13 Pro. The charger's digital display is great for checking how much battery life the charger has left. ... MoreThis is a convenient wire-free option to attach to the back of my MagSafe case/ iPhone and charge on the go. Push the button once and it turns on and push it again to turn it off.It took a while to charge and it also charged my iPhone slowly, it’s not like a lightning charger. It took about an hour to fully charge from low battery or 1%. It’s a little slow but charges enough to keep my iPhone going. It’s even slower when using my iPhone while it’s charging. The battery life of the charger is sufficient but depletes a good amount after charging my iPhone. I’ll update my review if this isn’t as accurate as I thought. It’s ok, the downfall is that it’s heavy, bulky, and awkward to hold.

I was anxiously waiting for Qi2 chargers to come available ever since I got my iPhone 15 Pro in September. I am happy that Anker has finally released one. I have had great luck with their products in the past.I love the convenience of Qi chargers. The downside was they could never be used for quick charge (maxed out at 7.5W charging speed). They were fine for an overnight charge on the nightstand though. No longer is that the case! This brings the full 15W of wireless charging that the WIRED MagSafe Apple charger delivers. I have used it on my desk or end table for a quick top-up and it's SO much faster. The design has up and downsides. On the upside, the hinged design makes it possible to prop the phone up while viewing the phone at a comfortable angle for FaceTime ... MoreI was anxiously waiting for Qi2 chargers to come available ever since I got my iPhone 15 Pro in September. It also allows StandBy in the landscape position for easy viewing while charging. The magnet seems acceptably strong, similar to my other MagSafe devices. On the downside, this is a considerably bulky device to be considered portable. I had no intention to use it in my pocket attached to the phone, so I'm not disappointed. I'm happy that it is such a large capacity battery, and having that capacity takes up space. This should charge a fully depleted iPhone 15 ~1.2 times.Overall the cost of this item over a Qi1 device is dependent on how important fast charging is to you. Other older Qi chargers are considerably cheaper.Personally, it suits my needs perfectly. Highly recommend.

This is definitely the nicest phone battery brick that I’ve tried so far. The LED screen is a nice to have that does work well to ensure you know much more specificity how much batter power is left in it. As well as some indication of the charge rate/speed. it does seem to discharge and charge as rated on the product as well. The stand feels pretty strong, and I feel that the hinge will last quite some time. Feels like this is the exact and perfect size for a backup power brick to put in any bag or back pocket to use as needed. I always keep it in my backpack when walking around on campus and working on courses. As I can also use it to charge my IPad, so I don’t need to worry about forgetting to charge it before class to take notes with etc. Only small downside is ... MoreThis is definitely the nicest phone battery brick that I’ve tried so far. But both feel reasonable given the product, and the reputation of the company selling it. I’ve never had any problems with Anker products or support. This is without a doubt my go to recommendation for the best overall product. 4.5/5Only, I would recommend some others due to the price if that is the primary concern.
Lets talk about the good things first. Its a great product, very good quality as always by Anker. Charge speed, wired is just as good as any other battery out there, wireless charging on the other hand, its not amazing? but it gets the job done...I will give a very simple example, if you leave it there and do nothing with the phone, it will charge decently. But lets say if you like to play on your phone while you charge (depending on what game too), it might ""hold"" your battery level or slow down your battery % going down, which I think its fair for a wireless charger, it is what it is.Now the ""not so good"" parts. I think Anker knows this and it is the reason why i gave it -1 star for this exact reason. None of the marketing material let it be info page or ... MoreLets talk about the good things first. I think Anker knows this and it is the reason why i gave it -1 star for this exact reason. None of the marketing material let it be info page or video, NONE of them shows the bottom of the phone and there is a very good reason for that, and it is that due to the battery's size, IT DOES NOT SIT FLUSH WITH THE BOTTOM OF THE PHONE (with no case). It battery sticks out the bottom past the phone by about...say 3-4mm. Its not a lot, but it is enough to cause some issues. (I would like to provide pictures but I only have 1 phone...you're just gonna have to trust me on this one).Lets face it, it is a 10kW battery, no body is expecting it to be small. But what I am most disappointed about this is that Anker is purposefully hiding this fact from their marketing materials. It is not mentioned anywhere that this battery does not sit flush with the bottom of the standard sizes of the iPhone. With ""Plus"" size phones, this battery is perfect, no complains there. But I am docking 1 star for dishonesty.Other minor complaint is that the magnet is not very strong. If you use this magnet on the Iphone with no case, the holding power is not great. As in...even under normal use it has a chance of coming off. I did find that with 1 of them strong magnet magsafe cases this is a bit better because the back of the case is usually some soft silicone plastic and that provides the battery some much needed ""grip"" and in some instances, some cases have stronger magnets at the back than the Iphone itself and that provides extra holding power for the obviously very heavy and chonky battery pack.Overall great product, solid 4.5-5 star if they did not try so hard to hide the fact that the battery does not sit flush at the bottom with standard size phones.
Ooof - $90 for a wireless battery pack when Brand X is a third of the cost? Well, being the first Qi2 certified battery on the market can command a premium cost, even for Anker products. A fast wireless charge is what only one product for iphones could do - the Apple Magsafe battery pack - and also at $90 or so. The premium is for speed.Having said that, this is not a thin battery pack. It's a big one - even compared to my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It's the same form factor as the other Anker 10k mah batteries that wirelessly charge at 7.5w. The battery feels solid, although I wish other colors were coming other than white because it'll start to show its age soon. The battery does the job - it charged what I considered on the same speed as a normal magsafe charger, and fast ... MoreOoof - $90 for a wireless battery pack when Brand X is a third of the cost? The stand is nice and sturdy enough to watch something while charging although I'm not certain if you can put it on the stand without charging and just use it as a stand. The display on the side is stylish, although when you've grown accustomed to lights on the side of a battery pack that gives rough power ranges, this is a new thing to enjoy.Overall it's a very nice Qi2 charger and will charge your iPhone at a fast speed. At $90, it's a hit to the wallet and a premium. For now, Anker's the only game in town if you want 15w fast charging,
I’ve been a long time fan of Anker and bought dozens of their products over the years, but only from their Amazon store, that offers free returns. I really like the previous 7.5W magnetic power banks so when I saw the new 15W MagGo chargers, I had to get them! They weren’t on Amazon yet so I just ordered direct from Anker thinking everything would be the same as ordering from their Amazon store. Boy was I wrong and that was a mistake. They don’t advertise their return policy anywhere on the product pages, just their “30 day money back guarantee”. Well, after weeks of waiting, the 6.6k and 10k power banks finally showed up and good lord they are TANKS. Extremely heavy and much thicker than previous versions. Well, after weeks of waiting, the 6.6k and 10k power banks finally showed up and good lord they are TANKS. Extremely heavy and much thicker than previous versions. You can’t comfortably carry these around or use them with ease. Not sure how these actually made it past the product testers with their considerable heft. I contacted their customer service and to my dismay they tell me I am responsible for shipping these back to them…what?! The cost for me to ship back these monstrosities would be half the cost of one of the power banks. Anker, you are a large company with massive volume discounts with the shipping carriers. Your money back guarantee claim is very misleading when you lose a quarter or half of what you paid just to return the items to you. Why is your return policy so terrible? At least send customers return labels and deduct like $5-$10 from the refund. Or get with the times and offer free returns like your huge Amazon store or 99% of the other large online retailers. Not very happy about this and seriously reconsidering buying anymore Anker products because of the responses from Customer Service.
This isn't the largest external backup battery that I have ever owned, in fact, it's somewhat on the lower end of the range. There isn't enough to power your phone for a week-long hiking trip, but it will do the job for a couple days at the beach.I like the simplicity of this device. It uses the magsafe wireless charging standard, so there is a ring magnet with an alignment magnet built-into the case. That's convenient, because you don't always have the right cable when you need a charge.I like that there is only one USB-C port on the battery (simple), which is used for both charging the battery and for using a cable to charge your phone (or whatever other device to be charged). Cable-charging pumps more power faster and more efficiently than wireless charging.A series of five LEDs indicates the degree of charge that is remaining in the battery at any given time, whether it is receiving or delivering a charge. An on/off switch is used to affirmatively turn the battery on or off. Placing a device to be charged in close proximity to the battery will not cause the wireless charging to engage with the device, which is exactly what I like, so that inadvertent and inefficient charging is not performed when the battery is thrown in a bag with a host of other devices that might want to steal some power without my knowing it.But the big feature on this battery is that the magsafe portion of the device is on a hinge from the rest of the battery, and you can rotate that up so that it holds your phone at a convenient viewing angle while it is wirelessly charging. That's the big convenience of this device.I like this a lot. Highly recommended.
Device is really well build. Solid all around and the device has good estimates for time to finish charging and remaining percentage.Device will charge an iphone 15 pro, 14 pro, and iphone 13 mini at 15 watt magsafe speeds. It also outputs at the full 27 watt speeds for the USB C port.Device also has automatic detection. This allows people to have an honest understanding of whats inside this deviceCapacity per battery is 5000 mAh per battery at 7.7 v in series. For 2 batteries total.
It has been years since I bought an Anker power bank. My first Anker was years ago when they first got the fast charging power bank. The result was not impressive and I returned the product. When I had the opportunity to try this new Anker MagGo Qi2 Certified Power Bank, I bit my nails and ordered it.This what I observe. The power bank is slightly bigger than a deck of cards. But it is much heavier than most of my other power banks with similar capacity(including wireless charging banks). The finish feels solid and and smooth with kick stand in the back. With the right protective cover on Samsung S22 Ultra, I can use the wireless charging with MagGo standing up. With the right protective cover on Samsung S22 Ultra, I can use the wireless charging with MagGo standing up. First time charging, MagGo is able to charge at about 18-19W, and the side screen shows the bank will be fully charged in about 2.5 hours from 0%. When the bank is full, the digital multimeter reads out at 5100mAh. Interestingly, the battery bank is labeled: total cell capacity at 10000mAh and battery capacity at 5000mAh. From Anker's own website, "there are different ways to describe the capacity of a battery. It can be defined as the total amount of electricity produced by the electrochemical reactions taking place inside the battery. Battery capacity is conventionally measured using units such as ampere-hours (Ah), watt hours (Wh), or kilowatt hours (kWh), depending on the technology used." Further research got into very technical stuff that most consumers will not bother to understand. Additional search also indicates slower charging rate is actually more efficient for the battery. I will not get into this topic at this time. The USB-C on the side does support fast charging for my Samsung S22Ultra and Note8. I have to place the phone precisely over the bank to activate wireless charging. The rate of wireless charging is not as fast as direct charging, and the bank does heat up more but still within acceptable range. In the initial tests, I can charge the phones about 1.5 times with phones at less than 10%. charge. This is not bad for a 5000mAh battery capacity. Overall, I am satisfied with the performance of this battery bank. The only draw back is the close to $100 retail price. 5-star
