Used this twice. I am very catious in making sure the seal is closed, but after approximately 30 minutes, the bag leaked. I drew the air out again, but the bag leaked yet again. Second time using this and the device shut off before extracting all of the air. I had to press the button multiple times until I decided to just dip the bag in water to get the air completely out. Would not recommend.

Love how handy this is for my jars of herbs and spices, works with my Foodsaver lids, just be sure to check the seal - the occasional problem I’ve had with sealing was usually due to jar rim or lid. I bought several for gifts.

I love this small portable vacuum sealer. The only downside is that some of the bags don' thold their seal. I am very deligent about closing the Ziploc portion but some still leak. So I would only use these for temporary items like cheese where it doesn't matter if the seal doesn't hold. When they work, i love them!

We have been using our Anova sous vide wand for years, initially with ziplock bags, and then when appalled by the amount of plastic waste, Stasher bags. The Stashers are great but can be hard to get the air out of. I decided to try the handheld vacuum because the bags are reusable and couldn't be happier. It's a cinch to get the air out and the bags are holding up well (so far). I've even started using them for other non-sous vide purposes such as freezing leftovers and keeping crackers fresh.
When I first got it I it worked perfectly. Was able to seal everything for cooking and freezing. After a while it has stopped working. Only used it for about a month.
this was my first vacuum sealer and so far I love the vaccum device. It does exactly what it is supposed to. I've been using it for about 2 months and it hasn't needed to be recharged yet, lasting a long time.The accompanying bags however do need improvement and are NOT a pleasure to use. I curse everytime i try to open one
I wasn’t looking for a new vacuum pump, but the sale price was right. The pump & the accompanying bags were a whim. But, wow what a great little tool! I’ve Sous Vide’d for a decade now & gone through some 5 water circulators & maybe 4 vacuum pumps. I thought I’d be buying an expensive chamber vac next. But, no, THIS pump w/ its genius bags is simply the best! I’ve ordered additional bags & reused the two I started w/& I’m hooked! Even my chef son is impressed.
I've been accustomed to bulky vacuum sealers for a long time. I now have a new toy! Although the Precision Port handheld sealer is small and simple it's no toy, it's a serious piece of kitchen equipment. I bought 3 more to give as gifts.
The device itself is awesome, and I use it all the time, several times in a day.I have sent in some recommendations on improving the bags - it is the re-sealable bags that need some improvement. Despite that, it is still a game changer of keeping my frozen goods fresh, and cooking sous-vide.
I'm in the process of returning this item again. Two units so far show no signs of life.An indicator light is supposed to light up when connected to power (for charging), and it does not illuminate when plugged in and the unit does not work.I'm giving Anova one more chance to send a working unit.
