AWFUL! Cheap is not worth it

I bought this product needing to extend my wifi to my bedroom. Plugged it in to the wall and followed set up instructions but it would not let me go to the website. Kept on trying to connect but still would not work. Went to the makers website and the product to them didnt even exist! It is legit a rebranded extender. Not sure if I should even bother returning.

Constantly had to reset

Had this item for about a year but not worth the trouble. Constantly having to reset to extend the signal through the house even when moved to another location. Then one day it just died.

DO NOT BUY IT

Bought it as I couldn't get any branded extenders at Bunnings and desperately need something for work. Worked for exactly 9 days and suddenly stopped working after that. It was not only stopped supplying internet but also causing disruptions if I connect to the actual router while it's powered on.

Great as an Access Point
9 December 2021

I bought this device today. I set it up as an Access Point. It works really well. The reception is now superfast. The unit needs to be set up properly in the beginning. I'll keep using it and see how it goes.

Instant effect with greater wifi range!
11 March 2023

A little complicated to set up, other than that it has increased our wifi range greatly. Still early days since installing it, however impressed so far. Great value for money option.

It is cheap because it is literal garbage`!
10 February 2023

It is cheap because it is rubbish. Worked great for 3 months. One day it just starts shutting down every few minutes. Doesn't work anymore. LIterally impossible to talk to anyone about it to get it replaced/refunded. Only gave it 1 star because I couldnt give it 0. Spend the few extra bucks and get a real brand that isnt going to give up the ghost.

Simple, effective, neat, affordable
11 February 2021

I set this up in Access Point mode in the ceiling of my house (connected by ethernet cable to main router at the other end of the house). Instructions and setup were simple. Wifi signal and speed are great - as determined by Wifi Analyzer and Speedtest. Even better if I hardwire into its LAN port - eg.for a TV. Excellent value for money.

Terrible wifi booster
3 September 2021

Tried to use this as a wifi-to-wifi booster, not only was it a terrible booster, delivering slow and unstable connection to the far end of my house (less than 10.0m from modem), the unit also dragged down the speed of devices connected directly to the modem. terrible product, no manufacturer support, DO NOT BUY.

Waste of time
26 April 2020

bought this product because it was cheap. thinking that all range extenders are the same. took it home and the signal would keep dropping out. couldn't update the firmware because there is no support on the manufacturer's website. they (antsig) didn't even list this product as something they sell. after a lot of deliberation, found out that this is a rebranded winstars n300 extender. unfortunately even winstar didn't have a firmware update or support, so I had to return the product to bunnings.

Worth every penny
11 October 2022

Patience on setting it up and it will pay off. Cheap, but never had a problem for 2 yrs. The best part is, it has ethernet and wan ports, so I connect it to my router via eternet as wired internet source, while using the extra ethernet port to connect my TV. So I use it both as wired internet provider, and wifi.
