Ammo Lock is a little pricey, but it’s worth the purchase to keep my goldfish healthy. It balances the water and removes ammonia, which may burn fish fins or worse. API is the best brand I have found for fish products or solutions.

Got the small bottle and it said ammonia reduction can be verified by using the API test kit. Followed all the instruction and went through the whole bottle over time but the tests never showed any reduction in ammonia level after treating the water with this. Do not but.
I've used Ammo Lock for sometime now. And while it has been quite a while since I started up my tanks, I am still having difficulty in ridding them of Ammonia. I use Ammo Lock and do water changes to keep my fish happy and healthy. It would be great if after using Ammo Lock it would register on your water testing that after using Ammo Lock the water would test ammonia free .
I have goldfish which tend to naturally release a lot of ammonia, and this helps to keep the water safe. I don't have to use it very often, so I would say it's super effective. Note - I keep my 4 goldfish in a 30+ gallon tank with filter, heater and air pump (just like you would for tropical fish). I know many people don't provide this for their goldfish, but I have to say mine are thriving, bright and active.
I got this a few weeks ago, and it came super fast, but the cap was missing, so after I open the bottle I have to seal it with tape. The lack of a measuring device is ok because another item I got has the same measurment cap in a different diameter. It just is sucky that it came with no lid. Great product otherwise
Use this brand and type of water treatment for years, Never a complaint, or a bad result from using A P I Ammo lock products. Very happy and will never change to a different kind.
It claims to reduce ammonia but even when testing waters it shows even HIGHER levels of ammonia. It states testing will still show its there but should it really show even higher than prior to putting dosage in on the liquid vial tests? It killed my fish. :(
I couldn't get ammonia down in 30 gallon tank after I got sick and missed a couple water changes. After several attempts at bringing it down thru daily water changes my fish started to die, they had already been acting stressed. So I bought this product and it finally brought it down to a safe level. Now I just add a capful after each water change and it has remained at 0 for a couple of months.
