First Off, this stuff is BRIGHT freaking yellow. Which was a little jarring at first because i wasn't expecting it. But overall, Probably won't repurchase because i haven't noticed a difference at all. Keep in mind that this will definitely not be a good choice for root feeding plants such as Swords, Hairgrass, Vallisneria, Tiger Lotus, etc.

I am impressed so far! Before and after pictures attached: same plants in/on the substrate but with a new layout and light. I also added some beautiful floating plants!FISH DON'T MIND, BUT WORMS DIED: I have dosed twice in the last 10 days. Both times right after a water change, administering only a half dose (I saw others mentioning their fish reacting badly and wanted to air on the side of caution). My fish don't seem to mind it, however it may have killed my black worms, not sure if it was the Leafzone but they all seem pretty dead for no other apparent reason. It's ok though, they're cheap and I have more. I keep 1 dwarf puffer, 1 serape tetra, many snails of all sizes, and a small black worm colony in my 5 gallon. Update: A full size dose has no adverse effects on my fish! Plants are doing AMAZING! Also seems my worms may have been shocked at first by the Leafzone and I lost several but I have not noticed new losses over time with continual use. I thing they just had to get used to it.PLANTS SEEM TO LIKE IT: The plants seem to be doing well. The bright green one in the middle of the picture, wisteria I think, had not been doing well, browning a lot on the edges of old leaves, so I got Leafzone. I started using it immediately and the wisteria shot out new growth that matched the height of the rest of the plant after a just a week and the browning on the old growth has slowed drastically and even stopped completely in some leaves! A runner broke off of my tall skinny plant (name? Lol); I replanted it and it got longer. I'll let you know if it sprouts. Most of the cobomba in my tank had previously died out, but I still have two small sprouts. One seems to be doing ok the other had some yellowing that appears to be rebounding with the Leafzone being used. I will report back on how it does on my cobomba sprouts.I AM LOW TECH: My aquarium is low light (standard light, nothing fancy), basic black gravel, wonder shells for an extra mineral boost, semi-hard water at 8.0ph, and no CO2 at appox 80 degrees. So this review is for API Leafzone for plants in a very low tech aquarium. I will keep you posted on my progress. Update: I got a new light($20) and some root tabs($7) to use alongside my Leafzone, my pants are so happy! New growth everywhere!

I have been using for a week now. I'll star with I have 2 75 gallon tanks and 1 125 gallon. This first week I have added half dosage twice a week to fulfill the total dosage for week. One tank contains balloon mollies, snails, shrimp, yo yo loaches,Chinese algae eater, and a plecostemis. The other 75 contains guppies, shrimp, pleco, snails, Chinese algae eater. 125 has endlers, shrimp, snails, fahaka puffer(8 inch), and mollies. I have anubias, hornwart, and guppy grass. So far with half dose twice a week water has stayed clear, and I havent lost any stock. Plants seem to be thriving more than when i wasnt using anything. I would reccomend as of now

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I got it just because I have a plant in my tank that grew quite large and recently the largest leaves started to die off. Figured no big deal because I’ve had the plant for a few years and maybe it’s just gotten too big. Started using leaf zone and the plant began to sprout new leaves from the center that are vibrant and green. The older leaves also are becoming visibly more healthy. Can’t say it’s a miracle product for everyone but it exceeded my expectations and made my plants in my tank look new again.
I recently bought some plants and noticed they were looking a bit sad. After some research I decided to try this, and i guess it was what my water was lacking because after a week they are just going nuts. And fish are doing great. That being said make sure to Google what your plants are doing you may be lacking something different in your water which would make this useless.
It is great for leafy plants, which should be obvious from the name. My home essentials direct swords and temple plants have grown 4 inches and are greener than ever! You may need to supplement some of the other Micro or Macro nutrients as this is only Potassium and Iron. But in most cases, especially as in mine, this maybe be about all you need. I just add tap water for some micro nutrient supplement and use root tabs for rooted plants as needed and my plants have all that they need when I use leaf zone. This stuff is also apparently invert safe, I've been using it in tanks with snails and shrimp and have not seen any ill effects.
My aquarium plants are very healthy thanks to this fertilizer. I bought this product after my previous plants had died and had used it regularly on my new plants for about a year. I use the leaf zone and the CO2 booster together. The dosage is about 5ml per 10 gallons. I typically add the required dosage when I do my water changes every few weeks or so. For the past year, my plants have not yellowed and have started sprouting new stems and leaves. I recommend this product for anyone who has live aquarium plants in their tank.
My aquarium plants were in serious condition, my home essentials direct Sword was on it's way out after having to deep clean my tank. One dose of this product had it on the road to recovery (after pruning and replanting) and all the other plants are thriving as well with deeper color and growth. The sword is doing great. Highly recommended product. I will continue to use this. Fast and Effective.
This supplement is the only nutrient supply for both my planted tanks and the plants have always done well. I have these tanks for almost 2 years now. I dose my tanks with this only when I do my weekly water changes (only when water is replaced, not when adding new fishes). But make sure you don’t use more than the recommended dose, else there will be an algae infestation for sure. I hope this is helpful :)
Happened upon a 'You Tube' video where the guy imparting his feelings/findings on this item was very pleased with the results. So, with need of a replenishment of my stocks of liquid plant food, I decided to give it a try. I have had the use of this now for a few months and can see a difference against my previous products. Leaves appear to be taking sustenance in at a rate of knots as a stronger well-being and colour is already evident in their general appearance as well as a thickening of growth. It a go-to for me in future.
