I'm loving the Apple iPad Pro - fantastic screen size and image resolution and colour.I also purchased a keyboard to compliment this and find it to be a perfect alternative to my laptop when wanting to work remotely. This combo was a very worthwhile investment.Very lightweight and portable - definitelt value for money!

Amazing device. I first bought the original iPad, then a few days later I exchanged it for the air, then a few days after that I exchanged it for the Pro. I’m really glad I did. It’s just more enjoyable to use in everyday way. I am obsessed with this device. And the new pencil is wonderful. I don’t draw much but it’s useful for tons of things, it’s also amazing for photo editing. It is very expensive and the change to USB C is annoying. But I’m happy.

Everything is great except a cover auto lock doesn’t work

Initially I thought it was a bug in iOS 12.1 but even after 12.1.1, a cover auto lock is not working. Never mind a cover; it should trigger with a piece of magnet but nothing yet. So still not sure what the issue is but I just hope that it’s not related to hardware. This is really not a deal breaker for me but yes it’s an inconvenience, especially knowing that it should be working. The bigger/wider 11” (1.43 aspect ratio) full screen is really nice rather than 9.7” (1.33 aspect ratio) of iPad, whereas the physical size are same 1’ for both iPads. The “full” or “edge to edge” screen actually goes only up to 8mm from the bezel with rounded corners following the contours which I don’t care for it but it’s there. The Face ID is another new feature in the iPad family ... MoreInitially I thought it was a bug in iOS 12.1 but even after 12.1.1, a cover auto lock is not working. Touch ID was pretty useful but don’t miss it and not looking back. The light from the screen is enough to activate the Face ID even in complete darkness. Just in case if you’re not familiar with the Face ID... it only works if your eyes are open and even with eyeglasses.Even with the latest & greatest processor (which normally draws more current) the battery capacity is pretty good too, I’d say it lasts same as the iPad per charge or even longer.Another difference from the previous models is usb type c connector instead of lightning. This only means a different cable for me, nothing else matter since in the backend it’s all usb anyway. The only thing I’d have liked, only as a personal preference, is that the supplied cable to be usb a to usb c, not usb c on both ends.Another improvement is the 12 mp camera, but this also means nothing to me since mp has nothing to do with the overall picture quality. Unless we’re going to zoom in and count all the pixels of excitement, 8 mp would be more than enough resolution for most of us even for very large prints. If you want to take a better pictures, the very first thing to do is to ignore what the manufactures tell you and focus on yourself and the subject instead. No cameras ever walk around by themselves clicking pictures.4 built in speakers (2 in each side while holding landscape) is another nice feature and gives you extra stereo listening option while reading something. The sound quality is pretty good from these tiny speakers; just perfect for personal enjoyment in a quiet place.I think there are a quite a few improvements and some new features compared to previous models and I’m very happy with it, but no, i don’t feel like it’s a life changing product. If you can afford it, I believe you’ll like it a lot if you get one. If not, the iPad would be as good as the Pro edition. For most of us either editions would provide us what we want/need without huge gain or lose. It really comes down to which one would make us happier considering how much more we would be piling up on top of the existing debt.

Expensive as a Macbook, much less functionality
3 March 2023

These can be as expensive as a Macbook if you get large storage, and 5g, but is it worth it? Consider the use case if its right for you over a Macbook. This is not a replacement and has a vastly different usage. It feels good in the hand but recommend the Logitech Folio cover as a must to protect your new toy. Screen is bright and has decent sound.

Fantastic product, should have bought this earlier
2 January 2020

I waited for a while not quite sure if I needed to buy an iPad, I had the the iPad 2 many years ago, which was just imo a large iPhone. However the new iPads are better with the stylus support and the IPadOS. I like the smooth writing experience with my IPad Pro and chose it over the IPad air because of the 120Hz refresh rate. I suppose the iPad air would have been sufficient but I didn't like the old design with the home button. I also like that this had a better processor and more speakers. I don't like that the iPad Pro does not have a headphone jack but honestly I bought this to do minor work (and not use my laptop) and make notes. I LOVE IT!
11 May 2019

Did I mention I love it? Sales staff were super helpful. I bought mine with all the peripherals. The keyboard, the pencil, the ear buds. I’m glad the sales person talked me out of the larger unit. This one is ideal. I did go to town on memory however cause I know me and that disappears all to quickly. The pencil. Meh. The keyboard isn’t as good as the ZAGG I had but the quality and finish is better. I do worry about damaging this stuff. I know Apple Care. I’m not a high user of the photo editing etc. BUT I do love my stuff on a bigger screen. You have to have the latest but wonder if its worth the upgrade? It is! Hope this helps!

I hate how much this impressed me

Not going to lie,I wanted to hate this especially after the price paid. However, after the first week. I have 0 regrets. The only product that I’ve used in the apple line up was the iPad Air 2. While it was a device i used on occasion,i found myself more drawn to using my android phone. The iPad Pro is a device, that once owned, demands attention. The screen itself is magical in its own right with the fast refresh rate and true tone which adjusts the display based on external light ambiences. This iPad is fast. Switching apps is easy if you’re used to apple. For me gestures take some time getting used to. Apps run smoothly and iPad OS (13) presents a cool tablet desktop experience while in landscape. The most surprising thing about this tablet...the sound. Sound on a tablet should not sound this good. There’s a hint of bass without the loss of sound quality and anything you play that involves sound will sound good. This is extremely handy in times where you can’t connect to good speakers or headphones.I love this tablet. Im going to enjoy the many years of it. Hopefully apple commits to keeping the software updated after a while.

There's no downside, except the price.
5 May 2019

The display is super responsive. You will never get back after you touch and see this display. 120hz is a killer.I pretty much enjoy the great user experience of IOS. With notability and PDF expert and iCloud sync, it is my best productive product and a great extension of MBP.Don't expect too much out of it, since it is NOT A DESKTOP, at least, not yet (Maybe WWDC 2020 will push the boundary). However, If you want to seriously take notes, read digital books / PDFs, and use your favorite apps with a much, much larger display, it is your deal.

Very good quality
13 January 2022

I am very happy with the ipad. The only issue is these do not have the round earbud/headphone jack and I am not spending money on wireless earbuds that are either too expensive or do not work. Also, they sent me a 500 gb one instead of a 64 gb so that completely negates the no earbud jack issue. I recommend it a 100%.

I got a great deal on this open box / new iPad Pro. When it was received, the battery was at 27%. It took hours just to get the battery to charge a fraction and not full. I have numerous apple products, and have never experienced this before. The next day it was at full charge. The battery life has been ok, and my wife hasn't mentioned any more about it. However, I'm still monitoring this very closely, while it is still under warranty. Now the appearance is great! The other functions are just outstanding , and inline with my expectations from apple. Other than the battery I love this new iPad! That is why I gave it a 4, and not a 5.
