Great iPad, nicely configured at the base model!

I liked this iPad so much a bought 2. This one for me to do office work and to use as an interaction tool with my son - we color pictures, play learning games, etc… and if anyone is looking for that reason, Apple Arcade is awesome for young kids, but the you don’t necessarily need the pro to take advantage of it! And one for my wife with larger storage for her video editing work… We’re both really looking forward to the new iPad OS updates, though an iPad is still not a replacement for an actual laptop with a proper OS. iPad has come a long way, but I need to be able to connect multiple drives, offload mem cards from different cameras for on site back up, and preview various video formats on a regular basis. For that kind of work, the iPad isn’t the right tool, but for everything else the iPad is pretty great and the m1 is a really nice chip to be working with for this kind of format.I originally bought the new iPad Air because it has the m1 as well now, but after taking a step back realized how many more features the pro line gives you for basically the same price as the Air with upgraded storage - which is what I almost bought. The pro-motion display is tangibly nice to work with, the full thunderbolt 4 port - though hampered by the OS - is great to have in the right situations, and my son and I also like the on board speakers and sound quality over other models like the Air. In general, it’s just a little nicer in just the right places so that you feel like you’re working with the best iPad has to offer, and the price to performance ratio starting at 128gigs instead of 64 is perfect for everyday use.My previous iPad was the standard model (not a Pro or Air) from 2017 or 18 when they first introduced stylus support… Honestly for a device that gets switched out every 3-5 years, iPads are pack leaders for a reason, and since iPad OS will most likely never cross over to the standard Mac OS despite carrying similar specs, I plan on using this one for another 3-5 years before I even consider upgrading again - The 11inch is the prefect size for durability with reduced surface area that’s still easy to protect and maintain amazing overall performance, these things also run forever and I’m looking forward to putting my first pro model through it’s paces :)Lastly, the M series processors also mark a massive shift in the apple mobile line up, I suspect it’ll be a while before app developers can consider the m1 specs to be the new standard moving forward, so older iPads can stay relevant, but when they do eventually make that shift, m1 will be the new standard not m2 or 3 or 4, meaning if you pick this up now you’ll get the longest possible development support for iPad going forward, that’s how big of shift this is compared to previous generations :)

I don't get it

I use a MacBook Pro for processing photos as I travel, and decided to get the iPad as a more convenient way to share them. That's really all I wanted, viewing photos with something smaller and more convenient. A quick and easy airdrop. I've not been a big fan of the Mac IOS, but have suffered through it because it does a great job with photos. But the iPad? Horrible!!! The ability to simply airdrop photos to a folder or album on the iPad for viewing requires many, many steps. Not intuitive, ridiculously complex - insulting how poorly this software functions. I am not stupid when it comes to computers - when apple support even tells me there are a few more steps to move photos from folder to folder or from one device to another, it is time to move over to a different ... MoreI use a MacBook Pro for processing photos as I travel, and decided to get the iPad as a more convenient way to share them. M1 iPad

Looks and works as though it's brand-new. No cosmetic damage. The iPad appeared to be wiped clean and factory-reset, as expected. The seller even left their glass screen protector on the device (which had no scuffs or scratches) and sent 2 spare glass screen protectors that came in the kit that they purchased. Very easy process from final bid to receipt. Thank you! About the device itself: 11in M1 iPad Pro is very fast and snappy! Handles multitasking well, which is streamlined with the Stage Manager feature. It doesn't seem to pair well with my Intel MacBook Air (they just don't get along), but pairs quickly and seamlessly with my M1 Mac Mini, both in terms of file transfer and the Sidecar feature. I definitely don't regret this purchase. Disclaimer: I have both a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite (*gasp*) and this iPad. I love both devices and still use both daily since I have to use Windows, Android, and Apple devices between my work requirements and at home. Having both makes navigating each ecosystem much easier, so no regrets!

Nearly New with a Minor Clean-Up!
17 September 2023

I recently purchased a refurbished 11” iPad Pro from Best Buy and my experience has been largely positive. To my delight, the iPad was wrapped in a protective plastic just like brand new ones. This gave an initial impression of a product that was carefully prepared for resale. However, I must mention that the iPad had noticeable dirt marks and grease marks on both the front screen and the backside. It seemed as though it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly at all before being packaged. Thankfully, this was a minor hiccup, as after a quick clean-up with a cleaning pad, it looked good as new.Adding AppleCare+ after receiving the iPad was a breeze, which further eased my mind regarding the longevity of my purchase. I would still recommend Best Buy’s refurbished products for those seeking quality devices without the hefty price tag.

Tight Work Flow

I got this M1 version because I could, even though it turns out more hardware than I need.PROs:1) I trust IPads sandboxing my bank and medical apps.2) super fast. Google Earth has instant response.CONs:1) Restricted Work Flow2) apps control storage locations .3) minimal file system structure and access.4) data access is more input/output stream, less file dialog5) LumaFusion is the only app I know that processes video files on an external driveMac has a traditional Windows or chromebook file system approach. More apps will process files on an external drive. On Mac I can put a photo library on an SSD.With IPad you have to import files to an app controlled storage space and process them there. If you run out of space you either purge or purchase cloud storage. I only store and process vacation and family photos. If you want to post photos on social media or upload to Shutterfly it can only be done from the photo section. No file dialogs. The IPad is more for consumption and light edits. No real production.I could have easily got by with a base model IPad with 256GB instead of M1 Pro.I will give a recommendation for this product for the person who does not mind all the restrictions.

The iPad Pro has a USB-C port, which allows you to connect to a variety of accessories, including external displays and cameras. There is no headphone jack, so you'll need to use wireless headphones or a dongle to connect wired headphones.Display:The 11-inch Liquid Retina display is one of the most impressive features of the iPad Pro. It is a ProMotion display that has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which means that it is incredibly smooth and responsive. The colors are vibrant, and the contrast is excellent, making it a joy to use for watching movies, playing games, or doing creative work.Performance:The iPad Pro is powered by Apple's A12Z Bionic chip, which is one of the most powerful processors available in any tablet. The performance is nothing short of phenomenal, with apps opening instantly, and multitasking is seamless. Whether you're editing 4K videos, playing games, or running multiple apps simultaneously, the iPad Pro never seems to lag or slow down.Battery Life:The iPad Pro has a battery life of around 10 hours, which is impressive for a tablet of this caliber. This is enough to last you through an entire day of use, and with fast charging capabilities, you can quickly top up the battery when needed.Camera:The iPad Pro has a dual-camera setup that includes a 12MP wide camera and a 10MP ultra-wide camera. The camera system is excellent for taking photos and recording videos, and it supports features such as portrait mode, night mode, and 4K video recording. The front-facing camera is also 7MP, which is perfect for FaceTime calls and taking selfies.Value:The iPad Pro is undoubtedly an expensive tablet, but it is also one of the most powerful and versatile tablets on the market. It is perfect for creative professionals who need a powerful device for editing photos, videos, or doing design work. It is also ideal for students who want a powerful device for taking notes, watching videos, or working on projects. The iPad Pro is an investment, but it is a device that will last for years and continue to provide incredible performance and versatility. Conclusion:Overall, the Apple 11-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi and 128GB of storage in space gray is an incredible tablet that boasts an impressive display, powerful performance, and a range of features that make it perfect for creative professionals, students, or anyone looking for a high-quality tablet. While it is undoubtedly expensive, it is an investment that is worth the price for anyone who wants the best of the best.

iPad review as some who uses it for art
22 February 2023

I got this iPad for a primary use of graphic design / art & illustration. I got the Apple pen and a keyboard with my purchase. I love the iPad, it’s easy to use and I love the way I can easily share things between my phone & iPad. The Apple pen was a must, in most programs they have a palm rejection when using a pen which makes it easy to be precise and stabilize your hand against the screen. My only problem is I’ve only had it for about a year, and I’m already having issues with the screen turning on & off. Sometimes the screen will turn on but not let me enter in my password / use my Face ID but just sit idle. I even have assistive touch on and when I press home it still won’t trigger the Home Screen to allow me access to the iPad. And other times when I’m done it ... MoreI got this iPad for a primary use of graphic design / art & illustration. I got the Apple pen and a keyboard with my purchase. And other times when I’m done it won’t let me turn the screen off, I have a keyboard so when I close it up it’ll stay idle with the screen on u til it turns itself off. It can be inconvenient but otherwise it’s great. I use Adobes illustrator & Im currently working on a realism piece through its fresco
