When my powered dock wasnt able to keep my battery charged during long high cpu usage doing recording sessions the 140 watt power supply did the trick. Even on the biggest sessions I stay at 100% charged. No more limping along at 7% charge.

Universal Serial Bus!Yes Universal.Well it's a balance of power supplies for each and every specific device. So we can have a USB PSU for a specific PC laptop or Chromebook, usually good to pack in a travel bag or rucksack and a docking station with all the other connections, so we can leave it, the mobile PSU in the bag and not forget it!Then there's that plethora multitude of other devices Apple Watch with its own contactless or MagSafe charging cable, different phones, connectors lightning, micro / mini USB, trackpad, keyboard etc. so we end up with a swarm of USB power supplies usually somewhere around a power socket outlet, or end up searching for it! Or sorting it from a draw full of them!Well I wanted to switch from the previous USB standard to the new USB-C one!Quite a few devices come with a USB charger with a fixed unplug able short USB-C cable. Usually the issue is it's much too short and you can't get a USB-C extension cable of the correct length!Well at 140W this charger should cope with most things, by having enough power! Whether it's too much, what it may do for battery life or safety I can't say, usually a device draws as much power as it needs, the issue is whether the PSU can provide it without being overloaded or overheating. Also what the cable can handle. The power socket issue, with a multitude of PSU adopters surrounding it, well you can unplug the direct mains adapter with how many pins for your country and plug in Apples own extension cable with its IEC type connector and sit the PSU on a desk, instead of behind it near the floor.Another solution is to use USB with PD Power Delivery from another device like a laptop, sometimes you can control the USB connection in settings, more ports are better, usually limited.Another solution POE Power Over Ethernet and structured wiring, power and a network connection from a network switch / hub, POE injector.Of course there's wireless charging with a QI charging pad, but then you need to rely on a battery and lifetime / charging time. The only USB-C port is a limitation and yet to find a one to many USB-C adapter for this.Extension cables. The issues left, well all those USB-C to device specific charging connectors adapters cables of course. Also I expect they'll change the USB standard again sometime, not backwards compatible. Now I'm sure there was another spare mains power socket around here somewhere I could use?!

How does everyone with an Apple product NOT have one (or two) of these? This charger came with my MacBook Pro. Nothing has ever charged THIS FAST. So I tried my iPhone on it—full charge in less than 30 minutes! My Apple Watch even faster! I ordered another one!
My wife's apple laptop was having trouble keeping a charge. Was able to buy this at the recommendation of tech-support at Best Buy. Her laptop was able to be charged up and about an hour without any problems. I would highly recommend this for anybody with a Mac laptop that does a lot of video editing, streaming, and editing as it will keep the power of the laptop charged up. Very rapid charging also was noted.
I purchased this for my iPad when I play online. I play A LOT. Before this charger, it was only a matter of time before the iPad was dead. It would also overheat. Not anymore. This power brick keeps up with the demand of high screen brightness! I can play for hours, and when done, my iPad is still at 100%. It also charges other devices extremely fast. I’ve had quite a few other adapters that claim quick charge that I’ve bought off Amazon. This is where it’s at! Spend the change and get what you are expecting!
I've been using Macs for 15+ years and this is the first charger brick that I've replaced more than once in the machines lifetime. Two years, two replacements. The USB C click in design is susceptible to damage. Like, why put MagSafe back on the computer end so it detaches when someone trips over it but leave the charging brick end something that collapses into itself if someone trips over it?! Doesn't make sense. At $100 a pop I'm not stoked. I travel for work a lot which means breaking down my charger to fit in a bag. Simply snapping the cable in & out enough time wears down the connectors and causes the port to loosen. Terrible solution for an overpriced accessory that's necessary to operate your computer. I can't recommend you don't buy this though. All those ... MoreI've been using Macs for 15+ years and this is the first charger brick that I've replaced more than once in the machines lifetime. I can't recommend you don't buy this though. All those cheap aftermarket chargers on Amazon will destroy your battery and cause way more issues. I know because I've tried and hopefully you won't make the same mistake. Your best bet is to buy the OEM brick directly from Apple or Best Buy. But definitely complain about the flimsy design to Apple and in product reviews because it's the only way they're ever going to change this.
Pros:Fast Charging: The 140W power capacity ensures rapid charging of compatible devices.Build Quality: Typical of Apple products, it has a robust and durable design.Cons:Price: As with many Apple products, it's priced higher than some third-party alternatives.Compatibility: Works best with Apple products, and might not be as efficient with non-Apple devices.
I ordered the "Open-Box Satisfactory" version and couldn't be happier. I had expected some dirt and scratches, but it came as if it were brand new (I have since dirtied it up) There were no cosmetic issues whatsoever, and it had all of its original packaging. And yes, it is true that it can charge a 16" MacBook Pro from 0 to 100% in one hour. I highly recommend this!
I REALLY didn't want to buy another charger for my Macbook Pro - but being 250 miles away from home on business meant it was that or not get done what needed to get done! This all being said, this is a genuine Apple 140Watt adapter. It does its job. My biggest complaint is that it is, as most Apple-specific stuff- significantly over-priced.
