Upgraded to this new IPad Pro 12.9 inch. The size does not feel too big to hold. It is big enough for one to feel free to create artwork on a wide canvas. Much better than 11 inch or older Ipad Airs. The pen and the pad pair is finest for creativity. I also love the sound coming from speakers on both ends of the Ipad when in landscape mode. I am not even talking about the resolution and smoothness of swipes as that is expected in an Apple product. Fully satisfied.

Excellent product. You do pay a premium but you get something that's going to last for a long time that's top of the range. The screen quality is superb and the touch very responsive. It's fabulous fir browsing through photos and also internet. Everything is simple to use I also bought the keyboard cover which turns it into a laptop - it works the same as my Mac book. Very pleased with this and highly recommend. John Lewis also give their extended warranty which is better than elsewhere so well worth buying through them.

Let's be honest - the iPad Pro 11" hasn't really functionally changed since this design was introduced in 2018. Even the introduction of the M1 processor last year was kind of moot because, other than a very few professional edge cases, no one was sitting there waiting for things to get done with the previous CPUs. And in that context, the 2022 upgrade to the M2 is probably the least impactful improvement of all. Don't get me wrong - the iPad Pro is hands down the best all purpose tablet on the market. If nothing but the best will do - look no further. I got the 2022 model because my 2018 iPad Pro broke (I sat on it - oops), and with store credit and a discount and the free AppleCare through TotalTech - it was a deal I couldn't pass up. I got the 2022 model because my 2018 iPad Pro broke (I sat on it - oops), and with store credit and a discount and the free AppleCare through TotalTech - it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Now, the question of the ages - do I get the 11" or 12.9"? Consider these questions: * Are you a consumer or a creator? If you plan to spend you time on this editing videos or photos, doing music production, or sitting at a desk doing writing and spreadsheets - then the larger model may be better for you. For a consumer (browsing the web, checking email and messages, streaming music and video, doing social media) the 11" is perfect. * Is this a go-everwhere device - something you want always with you in your briefcase or backpack - so you can use at a moment's notice? Get the 11". The 12.9" is for people who take the tablet to a desk or table and then do work on it for a period of time. You don't use the 12.9" model in your hand(s) - you put it down on a surface and either type or use the pen. I got the 11" because I can easily hold it in one hand and either use my fingers or the pen to move around. I can be standing in line at the coffee shop, or sitting in a meeting at the office. It is unobtrusive and does not look and feel like you are carrying a MacBook screen around in your hands. But whichever model you get, I think for most people I would reccomend looking for a good deal on the M1 iPad Pro, and taking the money you save and buy a Magic Keyboard - a ridiculously overpriced acessory, but it will double the capability of the tablet.

This iPad is great! It is so fast, powerful and has everything I need. It is like a minicomputer! The only drawback is that all the new iPads they are making these have no headphone jack. I like to listen to my music or videos and such while my husband is watching TV. I cannot do that anymore. From my research, even the wireless earbuds don't work well on iPads. But that is about the only drawback this iPad has. I am very, very pleased with my purchase.
My wife has the first generation iPad air, that came out 9.5 years ago. It was before the COVID-19 times, and that iPad had gotten quite a bit of mileage on it. It couldn't update, it struggled at updating until it would force close applications because it was too much. We had to put it down, and while we said our goodbye's I produced this iPad for her, an 11 inch iPad Pro. At first she hated me, asking the same thing any wife would ask, "Why do you waste money?" I just wanted her to be happy, but I understood, she was heartbroken. After just 5 minutes of powering up the iPad, setting it up from her phone backup settings, she instantly knew why. Sometimes it's better not to argue and prove a point, it's just better to upgrade.
Granted, I upgraded from a 2nd generation iPad. Never really felt the need to upgrade, until I realized I needed a better way to take notes and save notes. I take notes while on the phone and typing does not bode well, so I like to handwrite them. I have tons of notepads, but going back and finding notes I made a year ago was difficult. I tried Rocketbook but felt it was tedious and had multiple failures in the sinking. iPad Pro, paired with some really great apps is a game changer. I did add the paper-like feel screen cover and also use the apple 2 pencil. Keeping track of notes and having a new notebook for each client is truly a game changer. I would recommend Good Notes app. For what I do, I might have been able to get the air or something similar, but really ... MoreGranted, I upgraded from a 2nd generation iPad. The only area that I am still working on is converting handwriting to text. Admittedly I do not have the best handwriting and there is a lot of errors if I convert. Exploring just converting titles and dates so that searching later can be easier and not convert all the text. But I am sure there is an app I just haven't found yet. I believe the usefulness of this iPad Pro is unmatched. If you draw or design, Procreate is also an unbelievable app for $13. Back in the day software this powerful would have cost a real mint. With the short amount of time I have spent with this iPad I really wish I could have had it a lot sooner. It is amazing! The Apple Pencil is very expensive and would probably only buy an open-box version, but it really is extremely powerful, there really is value in this piece of plastic. I could not imagine owning this iPad without it.
This was an upgrade for me so I knew what to expect out of the product. What impressed me was the process of ordering it. I ordered the iPad on line. Product was received in a very timely manner as expected. Ordered using three different payment methods: points, gift card, and credit card. Was super easy to convert Best Buy points to a Best Buy certificate prior to applying to the purchase. It was also easy to apply a gift card followed by paying the balance with credit card. I found it important to mention this because of how incredibly easy it was to purchase through the app. No human involvement necessary. The Best Buy app functioned perfectly. As far as the iPad goes, it is too early to judge the battery. The iPad is new and the latest model. Which came 79% charged out of the box. So far it is working as expected. It is also as durable as my last was. It has a different display but I don’t really see the difference. One thing that is clearly different is the size and weight. Both my old and new are iPad Pro 12.9. However, the new is smaller and lighter with the same size screen. I love that! I will not be breaking down the stars below for obvious reasons. Just a bit premature. But I do recommend this product based on historical use of a similar product. I will however tout how easy it was to purchase from Best Buy.
I’ve had iPads since they were introduced. I decided it was time for a new one and splurged on the iPad Pro. I bought it on 2/11/23. I was so excited. I thought it was perfect. It was until 2/20 when the screen froze and there was no way for me to get it started. I couldn’t turn it off, I couldn’t even get the Apple logo to reset it. OK, so I went to a service center. They reset it and got it to work. I had to restore everything. Well, today (3/14/23) it happened again. I once again tried the internet solutions, but so far nothing has worked. I can’t restore it from my Mac either. I’m going to try and restore it from my PC tomorrow. I’m done for the day. I’ve had Apple products since the original Mac. I got an Apple Watch late last year. So I’m a fan girl from Day 1. Never have I had a dud like this iPad. Apparently this is a common problem given all the potential solutions on Apple Support and You Tube. If I can’t restore it myself, I’ll take it back in and see if the service center can “wipe” in again. And then… I’ll try to trade it in. For something else. I’m so done. Save your money.
I wanted an open box 512G iPad Pro but was told none were available so I bought this open box 256G pro along with signing up for a Best Buy card and purchasing total tech in order to get an additional 15% discount. The very next day I found an open box 500G online. Best Buy, with their so-called geek squad were not able to exchange the 256 for the 512. One was in-store, one was online. BOTH were Best Buy. Total tech was no help. After 2 hours of trying to find a way to exchange these items I gave up and returned everything! Unbelievably disappointed.
I was torn between this and upgrading to a newer MacBook Pro. The things that sold me were XDR Pro-Motion display, and versatility of being a tablet. I am still essentially gambling on apple doubling down on IpadOS or bringing a version of macOS to iPad. This tablet is more of a novelty to me, however a lot of people do serious work with them. However if you are like me you will still find. Yourself firing up the trusty laptop/desktop to use your preferred productivity software.
