iPad itself is great. The iPad is fast fluid and has great cameras. I think apple could of had a larger battery installed I would be lucky to get a full day of use. I also think the build quality is terrible. The iPad looks amazing however when using the iPad itself straight out of the case you can hear an almost creeking noise. As if the case hasnāt been fully glued properly. However afte doing some research this is a comment fault with these iPads. This can be easily solved by putting th riparian in a durable case which Iāve done and thatās stopped the creeking. The Touch ID is very good, not like the old finger ID on iPhones which was temperamental at best. I like how it takes information from my iPhone so it already knows passwords for things like the wifi - novel for the old school users! Does seem quite heavy for an āairā not that I have any comparison, but Iāve bought a very protective case as I can see that glass smashing very easily.

When he has to use it for zoom calls or facetime he has to move it at a certain degrees to get a good shot while using the camera and now that it moves with you it accommodates itself and he doesnāt have to move the tablet around. It works well with the Logitech Combo Keyboard he was using for both the Air 4 and Air 5 smoothly. This should have been at least 128GB instead of the paltry 64GB that its still doing with most iPads now have at least 128GB. But since heās not using it for editing and stuff this should do for what he does with it.Overall with a major upgrade with the M1 Chip its super fast but this could have been improved more with extra internal storage from 64GB to 128GB and the camera with flash and a few more megapixels but overall its a major improvement from the last version which hasnāt been barely 2 years since the iPad Air 4 came out.

I was an android guy dating back to the first HTC phone that was the first phone to have a 4ā screen which was considered too big back then, it was supposed to be the first phone with 4g, but they were trying to build an entirely new network and I never seen 4g. Then I had the Samsung S3, then graduated to the Note 4(which was a game changer for phones) and you could never sell me on Apple products for years. I believe many people fall into this nostalgia category where they remember android and how it was and have not even given the Apple products the chance. Many will try to use Apple for a few minutes and get frustrated because it requires learning new gestures that are actually much simpler than android, but because theyāre used to the android they will never ...Ā MoreI was an android guy dating back to the first HTC phone that was the first phone to have a 4ā screen which was considered too big back then, it was supposed to be the first phone with 4g, but they were trying to build an entirely new network and I never seen 4g. I believe many people fall into this nostalgia category where they remember android and how it was and have not even given the Apple products the chance. Many will try to use Apple for a few minutes and get frustrated because it requires learning new gestures that are actually much simpler than android, but because theyāre used to the android they will never look at something like a tablet. They pay so much attention to the RAM numbers without understanding the RAM may be lower on an Apple product but because of its software itās actually way more efficient at 6gb of ram vs Samsung whatever theyāre claiming now. Once I switched to Apple I complete understood the hype and just how much easier the phone is to operate, just how much better everything flows with how you want to use the product whether itās a phone or tablet. I will say that I wish the tablet were a little more advanced on the screen under normal circumstances, but when it comes to watching YouTube, movies, or video Iāve taken with my phone this tablet is absolutely up there with most laptops. I enjoy this tablet so much I have now began looking into the MacBook Pro regardless of the price simply because of how much it can do and it will completely mesh with my phone and tablet seemlessly. My AirPods with just work with each item without having to think of how to connect them. I ordered the Magic Keyboard with my iPad and this is how I suggest anyone use it. Itās so much like a laptop you might as well. Especially when dealing with WiFi everything the tablet just performs so well. Solid state is where itās at. How many android users have issues with malware or being hacked in a sense, seeing pop up banners when they log into their phone. My kids always had that problem because theyād click on something they shouldnāt have, but since weāve all gone Apple, nobody not once has had an issue with strange pop ups or ads. Apple is just more secure, easier to use, and every product interacts so well with the other products. As someone who used android(mainly Samsung) for over 10yrs, trust meā¦.if you take the week to make the adjustment to Apple you will not regret it. You hear about the notch, the ram, the tech numbers and theyāre just numbers, when it comes to being smooth crisp, clear, and easy to use Apple wins hands down regardless of those meaningless tech specs they use to try to convince you their product is worth it. When they test product vs product Apple always does just as well if not better regardless if it doesnāt have the bloated numbers other companies use to lure you in. Apple has earned the hype. It took me 10yrs to figure it out. iPad Air is more than enough to do most of the things you want or need to do around the house.
This is a great tablet however itās missing some things that make me go huh?Performance wise this tablet is fantastic, I love the ability to multitask with ease. I experienced no lagging whatsoever while running procreate, YouTube, safari, and express at the same time. The display is stunning, the fullness of the colors doesnāt leave much more to desire. Although itās not 120hz, itās smooth and snappy. The bezels are definitely thick, however imo because of the size of the tablet Iām unbothered. Watching YouTube videos or movies on it is exceptional.Sound quality wise, and maybe my only gripe is I donāt think the speakers are very loud. They are loud enough if youāre nearby but if your listening while moving around youāll definitely have difficulty. Watching YouTube videos or movies on it is exceptional.Sound quality wise, and maybe my only gripe is I donāt think the speakers are very loud. They are loud enough if youāre nearby but if your listening while moving around youāll definitely have difficulty. For example, if youāre cooking and watching a video, the sound of water boiling will drown it out unless your iPad is near it which I wouldnāt recommend. Otherwise the sound is rich enough to catch those annoying parts in the movies where youāre not sure if you should turn your volume up because the next scene might bust your eardrums. The camera is okay, not impressive but definitely does the job.Connectivity hasnāt been an issue, even when I tethered it to my iPhone 12pro, it operated with great speed and ease when I did a quick download.I love that I can work between my tablet, iPhone and Mac mini with ease. I also find much more productivity because not everything is done on my iPhone where there can be a bunch of distractions. As far as use with the Apple Pencil, itās been stellar. Iāve never used one before so I have nothing to compare it to besides maybe the S pen. It works without lag nor is it overly sensitive. Iād recommend this to anybody who draws anything from fashion to anime, even if youāre a writer who wants the security a tablet can bring, itās a good choice to pair with this iPad.Battery life is great, I charge it after a few days of moderate use typically.Itās a tough cookie. The back is aluminum with a nice matte finish, scratches wonāt likely be an issue and fingerprints donāt show up unless your touching the apple logo on the back which is reflective. What makes me go huh? I love that Touch ID is a thing but even lower end devices have face unlock. It should be available on the iPad Air imo. Also because itās a tablet which would typically be for reading, I donāt understand why apple has barred Nook purchases. Also, although I greatly prefer usb-c type, itās now another separate charger that must be used from the iPhone. I will say I love that they did add the charger brick alongside the usb type c cable.Imo this is a great middle ground choice within the apple sphere however, far from a middle grounded device overall. In comparison to other brands, this iPad Air will give them a run for their money for sure. One thing apple does well is give people reliability within their products, with that said, imo the price point is fair.Aesthetically itās beautiful, the color is
I bought an iPad Air 5th gen to take with me on a work conference at the last minute, because Apple delayed my custom MacBook order even longer due to supply chain issues. I've had an iPad Air before, so I knew it would do the light work I needed, but I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of being able to remote-in to computers with this bad boy! I was able to do a lot more work than I anticipated. If your desktop computer is set up for remoting via Google's application or Microsoft Terminal Services, this iPad is just what you need to be able to do computer work on the go. At the conference, I was able to easily do my email work, writing/editing stuff, design/marketing stuff, and operate my company's custom software through MS Terminal. The 10.9 screen is just enough size wise, and is stunningly perfect when paired with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.I gave only four stars for durability, because when you're cleaning off the screen, sometimes it feels like I could EASILY stab this sucker or snap it in half. (I mean it is an Air, so I guess that's expected?) If you have a history of damaging devices of any kind, I highly recommend investing in a good case and screen protector to keep your investment safe.
Iām currently writing this review on the additional Apple Smart Keyboard Folio attachment. It makes this device a pleasure to use. This is a great investment which I had made because I was looking for an upgrade from my iPad Mini 5th generation. It was showing its age but I was picking between the Air and the 6th generation Mini. I ultimately picked the Air due to a price match. The battery life is very reasonable, definitely upholding Appleās advertised stats. The display is high resolution and has very suitable brightness for indoor use. I suspect the visibility wouldnāt hold up in bright sunlight, however, compared to the iPad Pros. The performance exhibited by the M1 is the main reason I chose this over the Mini, and I have no doubts that this tablet will ...Ā MoreIām currently writing this review on the additional Apple Smart Keyboard Folio attachment. I suspect the visibility wouldnāt hold up in bright sunlight, however, compared to the iPad Pros. The performance exhibited by the M1 is the main reason I chose this over the Mini, and I have no doubts that this tablet will continue to fly for years. Apps open quickly, browsing the internet is a breeze and the 8GB of RAM allow for multiple, responsible tabs. I have not tried gaming yet but the reviews which I have seen only had good things to say about performance.Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase, although the speakers could be a bit better. They are stereo but are not as loud as Iād have hoped, and donāt have nearly as much clarity in the low-mid range as for instance my MacBook Pro speakers (which isnāt a fair comparison but worth mentioning).Iād recommend an additional keyboard attachment for this device if youād like to have a much easier time typing. Currently, without either holding the tablet like Iām playing a game or tilting my neck uncomfortably low, typing is not the easiest on the tablet alone. You can likely find either an Apple keyboard on sale or an aftermarket brand with similar functionality, for a reasonable price.
Iāve been tossing up between the iPad Air 5th Generation and the iPad Pro 11 inch 4th Gen for a while now.Yes thereās M1 vs M2 but unless you are conducting some serious processing intensive work on your tablet then M1 will suffice for majority of daily tasks. Besides thatās what my M1 Max MBP is for.Yes the screen on the pro has pro motion 120hz refresh vs 60hz on the Air but honestly after using my iPhone 13 Pro now for over a year I donāt even notice much difference vs the iPad Air. Maybe 500 nits is not up to current standards but very passable. I hardly exceed 50% brightness in any usage case.Yes the speakers are better on the Pro but who doesnāt use earphones when watching movies on their tablets anyway. For the $550 price difference at time of purchase ...Ā MoreIāve been tossing up between the iPad Air 5th Generation and the iPad Pro 11 inch 4th Gen for a while now.Yes thereās M1 vs M2 but unless you are conducting some serious processing intensive work on your tablet then M1 will suffice for majority of daily tasks. But Iām using this device for travel purposes conducting light email work for when lugging my 16 inch MBP is not practical. So far Iām very impressed with the overall experience.
As the title states, this tablet is doing well so far. This iPad, paired with the magic keyboard cover, works adequate enough to act as a bridge between a mobile device and a full on laptop. I'll share more details on that in the product page for the cover...As for the device itself, it's pretty zippy- no lags to speak of. I haven't tried the camera on the back yet, but I already have camera shots handled by my phone anyway so that wasn't a factor in my decision on this particular tablet. Nice and light, but feels like it can take a bump or two before failure so you don't have to worry about having this surrounded by bubble wrap before getting a case in it. Screen is nice and bright, speakers are sufficient for what I need it for. It should go without saying that ...Ā MoreAs the title states, this tablet is doing well so far. It should go without saying that a screen protector should be placed on it- I personally have a Paperlike brand on mine that feels great despite a few air bubbles due to user error. 256 GB of space is definitely a plus due to Apple products not having any way of expanding storage in device itself. And the cellular connection works great for me but YMMV based on which carriers work where you live...If you are searching for a sophisticated camera system that can replace a professional camera, this isn't the right one for you. Meanwhile, if you're searching for a solid choice for a versatile all-rounder tablet that can double as a basic laptop in a pinch, you won't be given a hard time choosing the iPad Air!
Just to be fair I returned this unit for a different color. However the iPad air 5th gen is probably the best iPad you can get for the cost. Sure the iPad Pro has a few really nice features like Pro-Motion, brighter screen, and quad speakers but I use my iPad as a consumption device to watch streaming content, to play a few simple games, web browsing, etc.So spending over $800 with tax just to have some features seems a bit overkill. With the iPad air you get a paltry 64gb ssd but you also get the M1 with 8gb ram which means this iPad is supercharged. The liquid retina screen is really nice and the stereo speakers get loud enough and have a good amount of bass. Honestly the only downside is the lack of 128gb ssd storage option.I think this is the best value as ...Ā MoreJust to be fair I returned this unit for a different color. However the iPad air 5th gen is probably the best iPad you can get for the cost. Honestly the only downside is the lack of 128gb ssd storage option.I think this is the best value as you can purchase for well under the retail price and considering other decent tablets there really isn't any competition. Specially with the M1 chip there is nothing that is close in terms of performance. The new M2 iPad Pro would also be an excellent option for those who are artists or use their iPad as a primary computing device. For me the iPad air offers the best value and delivers a fantastic level of performance for the cost. I would like quad speakers and promotion but again the stereo speakers are loud enough and the lack of Pro-Motion isn't a deal breaker but more of a nice to have. Considering the new 10th gen iPad and this iPad air I still feel the air is the better value because of the laminated screen, pencil 2 support and m1 processor with 8gb ram.
