iPad itself is great. The iPad is fast fluid and has great cameras. I think apple could of had a larger battery installed I would be lucky to get a full day of use. I also think the build quality is terrible. The iPad looks amazing however when using the iPad itself straight out of the case you can hear an almost creeking noise. As if the case hasn’t been fully glued properly. However afte doing some research this is a comment fault with these iPads. This can be easily solved by putting th riparian in a durable case which I’ve done and that’s stopped the creeking. Overall stoked with the iPad its great, great size and makes achieving items very easy. It’s also a great size to type on and also throw in your bag for travel. I also find the iPads not having a calculator very frustrating however you can always install a third party app. I would recommend trying the iPad out in store before purchasing to see wether it’s suited for your needs.

I debated for a long long time, which iPad to buy. I originally wanted the iPad Pro 12.9" for the additional screen area however, after careful consideration, the easier portability of the iPad Pro 11" outweighed the occasional times the larger screen would be truly useful. Then the iPad Air was updated and given the M1 chip which changed everything. Not wanting to use the iPad for taking photos (I use my iPhone for that), I had no need for the second camera on the Pro. The screen of the Air at 10.9" is only marginally smaller than the Pro (I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice!), and the other spec improvements, unless you are an advanced user, are even less noticeable. I have no regrets at all and am happy I went with this model... the blue colour is also very desirable and not an option on the Pro so win win! John Lewis provided a 2 year warranty (a year more than buying direct from Apple) so yet another win. I finished my package with a personalised Apple Pencil and a good quality but non-Apple magnetic case. All in all, money well spent on a device that will give me years of reliable service.

I purchased this to replace a cheap 4-year-old tablet which was my first foray into tablet devices. The more I used the tablet, its short fallings became very apparent, so I decided to take the plunge and go down the Apple route due to their better long term device support. I selected the Apple iPad Air 5 (2022) as it was using the M1 Processor which had very good reviews in comparison to the competition, the MI outperforms these by extreme margins. The key feature that the M1 has 16 Neural Cores which supported both Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), which means it can process calculation specifically audio, video and image processing and ML task much faster than classic processors. It is very snappy and did not disappoint. I purchased a cheap ... MoreI purchased this to replace a cheap 4-year-old tablet which was my first foray into tablet devices. It is very snappy and did not disappoint. I purchased a cheap Keyboard case combo for £20 which turns it into a laptop. Biometric login is located on the right when held in portrait, top left when held in landscape so both of my index fingers are mapped to handle it in both orientations. The screen is very clear, true not as good as an iPad Pro, but you must pay considerably more for that, but if it not for creating works of art, the iPad Air is more than capable. Just remember, this is a powerful as a MacBook Air but cost a lot less. A good purchase with the bonus of an extra year warranty with John Lewis.
The iPad is an amazing device, I’ve owned a couple of them, but be careful with this package. Though not entirely obsolete, this particular model is from 2013, so even if this is considered new in an open box, that box has been open for 9 years. This system will run slower than you might expect. The battery is nine years old and may not function according to original specifications. You will likely run into other problems because it is not able to run current software. Although the older version of the operating system should be stable, you will not receive updates consisting of new features and security fixes. Apps you expect to use might not work since they are constantly updated and current versions might be incompatible with the older operating system. If you ... MoreThe iPad is an amazing device, I’ve owned a couple of them, but be careful with this package. This is almost a complete scam. Do not buy this specific listing. I ordered this iPad Air “refurbished” and it was nothing like I was expecting. I should’ve read the bad reviews before purchasing.First of all they put it in an iPad Pro box that it wouldn’t even sit in properly and it was just odd looking. This was supposed to be a gift. It had the cheapest case possible on it with the cheapest charging cord, charging block and stylus possible. I turned on the iPad and was able to log into my apple account but the actual software on the ipad is so out dated that you can’t download any newer version apps onto it without by passing the App Store and using iTunes. It’s not even worth it. Lastly I tried charging the iPad with at least 4 different chargers and it would ... MoreThis is almost a complete scam. Do not buy this specific listing. The iPad Air 2 was great. The total replacement 4 yrs ago in lieu of battery replacement won me to the Apple brand. When I got to 30gb of a 332gb capacity it felt like looking over my shoulder and constant parsimony. While looking around for an updated replacement the variety of tablets matched with ways of use and lifestyle was another winner: almost too many choices. Now retired, I am moving to word and puzzle games and some drawing in addition to some media and, of course, email. But way less text or documents. Reviewing and editing board packets and prep for six or seven meetings a month, including zoom is a breeze. Low vision accessories including voice are a saving grace. Summation: my iPad Air 5 fits my various needs without demanding a lot of tech know how. ... MoreThe iPad Air 2 was great. Reviewing and editing board packets and prep for six or seven meetings a month, including zoom is a breeze. Low vision accessories including voice are a saving grace. Summation: my iPad Air 5 fits my various needs without demanding a lot of tech know how. It’s portable, reliable, and assures access to the plethora of too small print. I opted for the Verizon chip again to assure anywhere access and deter snooping that plagues public Wi-Fi. Rei on staff are great: neither too techno nor making up answers when they don’t know. They are quick and listen so they respond well to questions. All around, a worthwhile experience even though it was not the cheapest deal around.
I think it’s a great device for a great price. The iPad Air 5th Generation is very powerful and really benefits from Verizon’s amazing 4G LTE coverage. Most of the time I have had 5G nationwide coverage, but it’s often times the similar or worse than the 4G LTE. I assume it’s because it’s new technology and has some quirks. Every once in awhile the 5G nationwide gives me about 100mbps compared to 4G LTE at like 80mbps, but like I said the 5G has quirks like random dips in download and upload speeds. Serious dips under 1mbps. The 4G LTE is more consistent and saves battery so I almost always keep 5G off.I’m sure that if you have 5G UW coverage then it’s worth it to keep it on but I don’t have that here yet.Anyways, the tablet itself is unbeatable in value and ... MoreI think it’s a great device for a great price. It’s just as powerful as the iPad Pro and it has everything you’ll need. It’s not worth $300-$400 extra for 120hz and AR sensors. There’s also probably going to be an upgrade to the pro this fall so you’ll be current for longer with the iPad Air.The only thing that holds the iPad back is iPad OS. It’s restrictive and missing a lot of features that would benefit it greatly. This is just because of Apple making their iPhones and iPads impossible to fully utilize with software restrictions. It sucks because jailbreaks are rare nowadays with current Apple devices. This shouldn’t be a huge problem if you also have a PC for the things that Apple restricts on iPad.Overall the iPad is great and I recommend it, but don’t expect it to be able to perform like your PC. The sad thing is that it’s powerful enough to run like a PC but it’s restricted by Apple. Regardless it’s great for what it does and you can’t beat it as far as cellular tablets goes.Definitely get the 256GB. It’s perfect.
Having owned an iPad - which is still going strong after 10 years - I thought it was time to upgrade it to a new model.I was really tempted initially to change over to a Samsung S8+ and it was only after comparing in-store the Samsung to the M1 powered iPad Air that I finally decided to stick with Apple.I will be honest and admit it was really close between the two tablets, but as alluded to above, 10 years problem free ownership plus a slight saving on the Apple swung it in the end.Plus pointsSpeed of M1 chipOverall quality feel of the tabletiOS vs android system (still better on tablets)Ability to now access files via c usb connectorMinus pointsNo pen provided - unlike SamsungNo microcard storage ability - unlike SamsungJohn Lewis service as ever ... MoreHaving owned an iPad - which is still going strong after 10 years - I thought it was time to upgrade it to a new model.I was really tempted initially to change over to a Samsung S8+ and it was only after comparing in-store the Samsung to the M1 powered iPad Air that I finally decided to stick with Apple.I will be honest and admit it was really close between the two tablets, but as alluded to above, 10 years problem free ownership plus a slight saving on the Apple swung it in the end.Plus pointsSpeed of M1 chipOverall quality feel of the tabletiOS vs android system (still better on tablets)Ability to now access files via c usb connectorMinus pointsNo pen provided - unlike SamsungNo microcard storage ability - unlike SamsungJohn Lewis service as ever can't be faulted 👍
This was fine! It is a real ipad! 6gb or your 16gb of storage are taken up by the ipad to run so there’s definitely not much storage. It works well, the battery runs out quite fast but it is a 2017 or 2018 iPad Air 2 that’s been refurbished so that isn’t super surprising. It did have some scuff marks that I thought were scratches but turned out to be sticky on the sides, but I cleaned it %26 it’s all good. I loved that it came with the temper glass already on! The ipad accessories are mediocre at best. The charger barely charges, the pen is just a normal stylus not an Apple pen (but for $129 not shocking), the “case” is not functional at best %26 the ear buds it came with are not worth the box they came in.
