12.9 inch iPad Pro is a BEAST!

The speed is greater than imagined. Every function is instantaneous. The sound has both greater volume and higher quality. While still waiting for the separately ordered case to arrive, my cat slid it off a table and it survived a three-foot drop without even the slightest scratch. I know that laptops will always have an edge because they have more physical space for the installation of components. ... MoreI have used multiple tablets from both Apple and Samsung and each of my two my children have the previous version of the 12.9 inch iPad Pro. A fantastic iPad, as expected.

Great iPad, as expected. It's large, but feels lightweight when you go without a case/folio. I was a bit concerned that it might not sit flat on my desk stand (used for creative work) due to the camera bump, but it's actually super minimal in comparison to any recent iPhone.Great screen, though you do get a bit of dimmign at the edges due to the micro-LED technique used for backlighting. That, and you wont really get the full color spectrum unless you're viewing specifically-coded videos and movies. But, still, this is a premium tablet with a fantastic looking screen. It's very responsive and smooth thanks to the 120-hz refresh rate. I love using Apple Pencil 2 on this. It's hard to beat an iPad for overall design and a well considered experience.

A handy tool with some convenient improvements. My wife gave her father her tablet a few years ago so he could read news, do his banking, etc. At the time she found her phone sufficed for her needs. Over time she realized that a phone is not quite practical for some of her needs (cooking/reading a recipe while cooking; reading an e-book, watching a show). This tablet is significantly lighter than her old one and, obviously, faster. The USB-C charger is awesome. Sorry you got dragged into USB-C kicking and screaming, Apple, but we, the consumer, appreciate it. It's nice not have to hunt for a charger knowing the tablet charges off USB-C and we are awaiting the iPhone 15 and USB-C. Ignored the negative reviews, I’m quite happy.
18 February 2023

Saw nothing but negative reviews on YouTube and the “enlightened” reviews mafia. Glad I ignored them. This is an amazing iPad. Yes, it’s not for people who just got last year’s model, but for those of us dipping a toe in today, it’s a fabulous piece of tech. I don’t want a MacBook. I don’t need/want a laptop. I want a quality tablet experience and content processor, and this does the job amicably. I’m a news hound, and this does magazines and news posts perfectly. In fact, I’ve noticed a lot of news sites set up their pages for all the crap ads on the sides and leave the main content alone with the larger tablet. It’s great for gaming, movies, and just about everything else I’ve thrown at it. For me, it’s been worth every penny.

This is my 3rd IPad. I chose this model for a critical reason; the unlocked cell version contains the GPS electronics. I need this to use aviation moving maps . I also loaded up on internal memory for the same reason. I will say I was dissatisfied with the previous version as there are two items which will render the IPAD useless is a broken screen, not too bad because it is repairable and the USB charging port wearing out and was NOT REPAIRABLE! The older IPAD the usb was directly connected to the primary board and you might as well toss because it then could not be charged. The newer IPads have this circuit as a separate module. The older IPAD the usb was directly connected to the primary board and you might as well toss because it then could not be charged. The newer IPads have this circuit as a separate module. Having said this the IPad has a charging port which is separate. If you look on the back of the iPad there are three little dots. Those dots connect up to the very expensive IPAD key board and it can charge the internal battery without the wear and tear. Why do they not have a charging device which does not cost an arm and a leg? So that’s my complaint. Spend this kind of money and let a wearable part used every day which will eventually break. Are the designers brain dead? So the right to repair is something APPLE is Fighting. They reluctantly will supple parts but each part is coded to a particular serial number. I guess this is progress. So would I ever not buy an IPad? Nope in this day and time I cannot see me not being connected. I love the operation and the ease of use. Apple is fighting on another front not to have the iPad replace their equally great laptops. So they are careful not to let the systems overlap too much. So if you use apple products you will pay in more ways than one. I do believe they make superior products.

My teenager loves it.
10 January 2023

My 15 yr old daughter was so happy to get this for Christmas. I also purchased the Magic Keyboard and the Pencil. I had a hard time choosing between this and a laptop, since she writes a lot of papers for school, but my daughter is artistic and enjoys that the iPad Pro can be both a laptop for school work as well as using the ProCreate app to learn how to create digital artwork. (She usually draws or paints). She of course also loves to FaceTime her friends that have iPhones since I stick with Samsung for cell phones. I decided to set her up her own apple i.d. so I wouldn't have to share my cloud storage with her. Been used every day since Christmas and worked perfectly with no complaints.

Really useful product
19 November 2022

The iPad come with a lot of new features. As I buy this as a gift for my daughter who turns 8 year old. It's benefits her for her school work especially for art work. I got the app for her called procreate so she can be more creative with art work. She really enjoys all her creativity work. As she is learning new things in school and iPad with new feature fast speed help her to explore new learning ideas. The cool feature is the Apple Pencil which can be connected via Bluetooth. This helps her with her drawing and also professional if have to sign online documents or do any changes. The other nice thing is that you can use Apple key board with an iPad which don't make you feel that you have to use laptop. All in all 5 star for the product.

What an improvement from my fifth generation iPad
4 November 2022

Coming from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. Also other things to get used to with new iOS, like when I swipe up from the bottom, the taskbar pops up first, when I’m used to minimizing the screen first. So you kind of have to continue swiping to shrink your browser window, or search through apps, not sure if I’m explaining that clearly, but when you swipe up to get all the open windows and apps, and you can flick them up to make them disappear, that’s the function I’m talking about. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. ... MoreComing from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. It looks bigger than my iPad fifth generation, but it doesn’t feel any heavier or harder to hold. I have not bought the keyboard for it, but I’m thinking about it as it is seems from online reviews kind of handy to not drag my laptop inside or further taking out my laptop, plugging it in, and going through all that when this is always charged and in my room. I can swipe through emails, search the web, check out YouTube, social media, real estate, all very easily, while lying in bed without any discomfort. I added a slim shell case, as I don’t like those other cases that cover and prop up, and feel bulky holding while sitting in bed, or on the couch. Battery also last twice as long as my four or five year old fifth-generation. A dislike is the power down feature , though, I think I can fix that in settings, and screenshot doesn’t feel natural either. It’s set up where I pinch the top button and top volume button meaning I have to grab the top corner together with fingers on both hands and doesn’t feel easy to do in hand and I have to rest the tablet on my stomach to hold pressure while pressing. Old method better and more secure using the two palms of my hand on two opposite ends of the tablet made it much easier to hold without feeling like the tablet is gonna fly out of my hand, or fall on the ground. Also the old method was easy, either horizontally or vertically. I guess I have to get used to it if I can’t fix it in settings, which I know there are a few settings like that which I need to explore. So I’ve heard it before, and now I agree, Apple needs to bring back the button!!!

I had to go to multiple stores and only one person who was a formal Sprint employee new this. It needs to be explained to them that in order to put the Ipad Pro 11 4th generation on a T mobile account you will need to be fully migrated to a T Mobile plan if for some reason your have a cheaper plan then the newer plans then the other option would be to purchase the 6th Generation IPad pro 12.9 inch with Cellular and it should work.We tested the IPad Pro 11 4th generation with a tmobile only slim card and the IPad pro 11 4th generation did work but it was for someone who has a straight T Mobile account and not a migrated account. When the 6 generation IPad pro was purchased I immediately called T Mobile to check to see if it was compatible and they immediately said that the device was compatible and I was able to put it on a new line and new slim card without a issue and then cancel my other line that had my old Ipad device. This allowed me to do a fresh start on the device then I restored the I cloud backup. But I checked the imei number through t mobile first this time before I added all of my stuff back on.So please make sure this is noted in bold letters on your website for this device so other people who are in a similar situation want buy the wrong one and have to spend a day trying to figure this out like I did. I will be working to add this possibly to one of your reviewsRemember: This device does work with a straight T Mobile account. This device will give you issues if you have a account that was mitigated from a Sprint to T Mobile. This review has nothing to do with Micro Center love this place and would recommend them to anyone. This is to help Formal sprint customers who want to upgrade their tablet to the new one and want to purchase it outright and add it to their existing account but dont know which one works if they have a migrated sprint account this took me from 11 am to 5 pm to get resolved so im going to help save other people time
