This is okay! I wish I had got the Magic Keyboard instead bc this one doesn’t have a track pad on the keyboard which mean you either have use finger or pencil to get around pages and click on things. They are pretty expensive for just keyboard $350 or more I believe also I wish it had pencil holder on it so pencil don’t fall out when your on the go I know it’s magnetic to iPad but it can fall if put in bag would be nice for spot to put in for it stay. Also I don’t like when you close the keyboard lays flat on the screen if you don’t have screen protectors it will messing it up lastly I don’t like when just want to use iPad with no keyboard but still keep the case on when folding it back you will be holding the back of keyboard

- got this for my daughter, as she wanted a laptop that was more compatible with her iPhone. She seems to be very happy with it and the price was good. I was happy to be able to get Assurion protection for 2 years for $99, but it's in my name instead of hers, since we had to use my account for the purchase and I'm not sure if it can be changed into her name. Her dedicated apple charger died after a month, so wasn't too happy about that, but that's a cheap fix and will guarantee she has a new, factory one. Otherwise, it seems to have been a good purchase at this point - here a few months since.

PRO - This case fits my 12.9" iPad Pro (5th Gen with M1 CPU) perfectly. It is easy to install and use. It attaches to the iPad magnetically and charges/synchronizes automatically via a connector on the back of the iPad.CON - The case offers minimal back/corner/side protection, so the iPad will likely be damaged in a drop or fall. The iPad stand positions limit it to 2 viewing angles, which are not comfortable for causal Internet browsing. The keyboard offers good tactile feedbacks, but it is still subpar to many laptops, and it lacks a backlight.Value - I bought a used one in excellent condition for $80 at Best Buy, and it looks brand new. If you need a slim keyboard case to use the iPad as a laptop, I will recommend it with 4 stars at $80 (but not at $200 ... MorePRO - This case fits my 12.9" iPad Pro (5th Gen with M1 CPU) perfectly. I only use my iPad for reading and shopping, so I returned this keyboard case. Instead, I bought a tri-fold case with better reading angles and full back/corner/side protection for $15 on Amazon.

PRO: Easily turns into tablet mode; lightweight; good bargain when buying open-boxed; surprisingly satisfying typing experience. CONS: Base flex, not too stiff; typing not as good as Magic Keyboard; no charge port other than on iPad itself; horror stories online of peeling; no backlit keys; no Caps Lock indicator.
I mostly use my ipad in tablet form (esp. writing notes), so the magic keyboard didn't fit my use case. The best part is that it is so convenient, always with the ipad, and no connection/transition lag. As a result, it has greatly increased what I could do with my ipad -- I oftentimes use it to type and browse the web over my laptop! At first I was antsy about the keyboard experience (it doesn't type as naturally as a typical laptop keyboard), but after a month I can say that it is very usable. I can type maybe 90% of my typical typing speed/accuracy. I wouldn't use this keyboard if I had to type full time on it. But for my use case, it is perfect at making my ipad so much more useful and functional.
It’s Apple branded, so if you want the thing that goes with it, you buy this. That’s why I gave it five stars and if I had to do it all over again, I buy it again. But, it does a little to protect the iPad Pro. The edges are not protected, and you can probably buy a better Bluetooth keyboard. They’re aftermarket ones built-in to the protective case for half the price. But it’s not Apple. And I don’t know of any that have the magnetic functionality making contact with those pins on the iPad… So it’s like a wired keyboard. And it’s Apple so it’s the thing that Apple made. So if you want the Apple brand you have to buy this one.I dropped mine, and it fell on a corner that wasn’t protected so my keyboard stopped working. Something to consider that if you buy this ... MoreIt’s Apple branded, so if you want the thing that goes with it, you buy this. The bad stuff first: This keyboard cover falls apart easily.I had the 3rd gen Apple cover and the vinylish-looking material covering the, erm, cover started to peel badly around the corners after a year. Now with this similar 4th gen Apple cover it has started to peel after only a mere 7 months. To make matters slightly worse, the vinylish material tends to pick up next-to-impossible-to-remove fingerprint stains. I use it daily, but I’m not rough on these things. They stay home. Never thrown into a backpack. So this is disappointing, especially considering the price. But if you can overlook the likelihood this keyboard will self-destruct, I can recommend this keyboard. Because until it falls apart it’s pretty darn good. Just know that it’ll probably fall apart ... MoreThe bad stuff first: This keyboard cover falls apart easily.I had the 3rd gen Apple cover and the vinylish-looking material covering the, erm, cover started to peel badly around the corners after a year. Because until it falls apart it’s pretty darn good. Just know that it’ll probably fall apart quickly. At least in my experience it’s only cosmetic. The keyboard cover still functions. Just looks like crap.Regardless…. This is otherwise my favorite keyboard for the iPad Pro.I prefer this over the Magic Keyboard because I can flip this particular folio over into sort of a letter “A” shape that allows the iPad to sit itself in an upright position for when I’m reclining in a chair or laying down. Basically the ability to fold it over into the “A” shape makes it so that I don’t need one of those “flippy” tablet pillows in order to be somewhat handsfree. The keys I feel are pretty decent. I know they don’t look like normal keys, and the travel is probably less than normal keys. But I can type something a little longer like this review and I don’t feel it’s weird or fatiguing. It is fast and accurate. Granted, I’m not writing book reports or anything super lengthy.
I've had this product for 2 years, and it's probably the worst Apple product I've owned (15+). Obviously it's built specifically for a product by the manufacturer, so the styling is nice, and the form/function is great. However, the magnetic way it is powered is awful. It's only ever worked reliably half the time. The contacts are constantly rubbing against the pin connectors and stripping away its ability to conduct (see photo)You cannot externally power this keyboard to see what the problem is. If it doesn't connect, the answers are the same: is your OS up to date? Have you tried restarting? There is no troubleshooting. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Also, it only holds the ipad via magnet. It holds well in the stand positioning, but any handling of it ... MoreI've had this product for 2 years, and it's probably the worst Apple product I've owned (15+). I chose this over the magic keyboard because I wanted a keyboard that could still fold backwards. First point off was there being no mouse pad. That's pretty annoying considering the surface pro keyboard is in the same price range. I'd gladly pay an extra 40.00 for a mouse pad. But I mostly wanted it for typing so I made the sacrifice. The second point is feel while it overall feels comfortable to type and is responsive. But the space button is really difficult to push which makes typing a little bit of a choir. I'd probably just accept this but having used the Microsoft surface pro keyboard and it just being fine out the gate it seems pretty unfair considering their isn't a huge difference in price. I'd probably just accept this but having used the Microsoft surface pro keyboard and it just being fine out the gate it seems pretty unfair considering their isn't a huge difference in price. The third issue is the keyboard doesn't actually wrap around the tablet it uses magnets to attach. For the most part this is fine but at times when Im handling it does pop loose. Its only popped lose when watching videos in my bed so the worst thats happened is I took an iPad to the face. In general it shouldnt be a danger to the iPad as long as your aware. My previous case wrapped around the iPad so this was never a concern. Ultimately if you need a keyboard and don't care about the mouse pad get this one if do you'll have to drop 350.00 for the magic keyboard which to me is crazy when you consider the surface keyboard is 199.00 with all the features you'd want. The only reason I'm even messing with the iPad is because they have better response to drawing pens. If it weren't for me needing that I'd gotten a surface pro. I included a picture to show how the case does not wrap around the iPad but attaches withmagnets.
Love this little keyboard!!!!No need to have to fight to get your ipad to attach to it. It stays attached to your ipad magnetically. It gets charged thru the case, when you charge your ipad.I only had to buy a new one, because I upgraded my ipad and my old keyboard couldn’t be used with the new ipad. Otherwise I would still be using my old keyboard. I had my old one for 5 years.
