Furthermore, my phone overheats extensively, it turns off on its own, there are substantial lags for example where I’m scrolling it will stop or the image on the green will break. Now despite all of these issues my main concern is the battery to which I have contacted Apple support through my AppleCare a lot. I’ve never really had an issue with AppleCare if anything I’ve had great experiences with receiving help however not as much with this phone. When my phone originally started having issues with the battery health I contacted Apple care and documented the issues extensively. Despite doing so I was told that this was normal, the technicians dead battery test over battery test months and months afterwards and I received the same replies over and over again turn the phone into dark mode, reduce background app refresh, turn on battery optimization, and a mirror out of other things. Despite these recommendations which I personally believe are not OK as again iPhone that costs this much should be used much more extensively then the way I use the phone and still be able to maintain its battery life at the very least for a few years. After a year my phone battery life dropped from 100% to 83%. I was told that the battery life would have to reach 80 in order for me to receive a battery replacement it has now been a little over a year and my battery life has been conveniently stuck at 83%. The mass does not add up. Where my phone would lose 3 to 4% in two weeks my phone has now stayed at 83% for quite some time (months). Two issues here. 1. Were someone again is spending so much money on a device, being advised to use it less, change the background appearance to dark especially if a person is experiencing vision related issues where that is not ideal, reducing cellular activity, and not viewing as many videos along with other suggestions are really just not appropriate the phone should be made to its price point and it to its use. This is a 12 Pro it should function as such. 2. I find it troubling that where issues are being experienced with this particular phone which are again extensive and very easily obtainable by quick Google search the company has not address the issues head-on but instead expect consumers to pay more to get them fixed. Well again I advocate for Apple products I believe a lot of companies moving farther away from customer experience in closer towards inaccessibility of customer support, specifically in addressing issues. With that said it to finish this really long review I have never spoken to in Apple support person who has been rude, unkind, Unhelpful or unable to give me some type of resolve. This is more so where development of products is concerned where my comments surrounding building products that meet concerns of the consumer apply

Apple quality & ease of use

After a year of use and many iphones down the line, Apple get’s better with every new release. I appreciate and value Apples quality and functionality. From the IOS to downright system ease and reliability. Are they without issue or the occasional bug, unfortunately no. But updates do ease these troubles over time, sometimes an extended amount. My issues mainly have been with iphone wifi tethering, and storage. I upgraded to icloud storage to help with the issue, but still have the issue of deleting internal storage, such as photos and videos to free up space. It seems to replace or never delete in the first place. Could be something I just haven’t figured out yet. I do store a lot of pictures and videos. I also have the 256g hard drive. Another issue I have recently been having, as I use the device a lot for research and work, along with personal, such as facetime audio/video, my battery is starting to fail me. It will hold charge at times, while others it will not charge and sometimes even stay warm. For instance, I stay talking or sleeping on the phone with a partner overnight, and when I wake up the phone is low on battery even while being on charge, and will have difficulty charging up at a reasonable speed. I would have to hang up and reset the phone, which may help a little, but not much at all. The screen will occasionally lose brightness and make it difficult to see or use. I understand this is a battery issue, as it shoes the capacity to be working at around 88 percent. Understandably, I use the phone a lot. But still, this is not even after one year of use. In the beginning it kept a great charge and did really well. And Apple has been outspoken about throttling or allowing you to adjust the settings for battery life. This is my major sole issue with reliability. I hope I can have the battery replaced under warranty as they are quite expensive. I upgraded to this device because my last phone had battery as well as screen issues. The cost to fix didn’t save me much, and I decided to go with the upgrade as well. You also have the inconvenience of setting up an appointment, having to drop off at a service bar/center, and waiting a few hours for the replacement parts. I wish that it was cheaper to replace the battery, but it is a time consuming process as I was told previously. Besides the occasional battery and other issues. I am still a big fan of Apple products and remain will remain a loyal customer for years to come.Excuse my rant and I hope this helps someone.

Deceptive description of refurbished phone

I had ordered a "Refurbished (Excellent) - Apple iPhone 12 Pro 256GB Smartphone" from this vendor Device Care. First of all, it was poorly packaged. The phone was loose in the box, without any wrapping protecting it! Then I found that the screen had not just "barely noticeable hair line scratches", but a number of small dents in the glass, mostly in the upper corner. There was a number of scratches and small dents on the sides but that is normal as the sides of iPhones are very difficult to maintain in perfect condition even in a protective case. Overall, it was a phone in GOOD condition that had been used without a screen protector. Then I switched it on, configured it, and checked the battery health: 88%. So NOT A NEW BATTERY! Iphone is overrated

My first time switching to an iPhone after being a lifetime Samsung user. I must say that I am very disappointed and there is a lot lacking in the iPhone. The iPhone can not change setting for group messaging to send a message to a group and have them receive and respond as an individual— this is huge for me because I hate group messages where you have to see everyone’s replies and everyone else sees each other’s replies. Also you can not close multiple running apps at once, there is no close all button if you want to close 10 running apps, you literally have to swipe up and close each one individually or try to use multiple fingers and you might get lucky with 3 apps closing at the same time. And iPhones charger cable size changed too and will not fit into previous iPhone charging box/cube.

It’s good but could be better

I purchased my iPhone 12 Pro in April and I always had connection problems with it. Even when connected to the WiFi it was still too slow and would drop my FaceTime calls. I can’t send pictures or attachments because they take too long or simply won’t send at all. I truly see no difference from my old iPhone 8. The camera I would say is better, but the zoom in/out aren’t as good. It has a nice clean design. It has the same functions as my old phone. Battery lasts longer so that’s great. Although my screen time is of less than 6 hours daily. I do like the speakers, the sound is nice, clear, and loud. It’s an expensive phone but certainly not worth all the money paid. Just What I Needed... Great Phone and Great Service!

Overheats, expensive, iOS limited, "Fast" but at what cost...

I owned the original iPhone years ago, after having androids for a long time I changed to iPhone 12 pro almost entirely because of iMessage folks begging me and me having an iPad already. Tried to like this phone, it certainly is responsive but most of the features are just fluff. LIDAR, cross device calling (use ipad as your phone) etc. Neat tricks for kids stuff, goofy animated emojis, Augmented reality cartoons you can stick in a video once and then never do it again...no actual practical use at all.Build quality is "solid" feeling but frankly just placebo. It's glass backed with some steel sides, which is just heavy and brittle with terrible heat properties. Personal opinion is iMessage is one of the only things that keeps people on these devices.If you are an android person thinking about switching, I can only say the 12/13 iPhones are certainly fast but frankly the UI limitations and especially the lack of basic productivity / quality in more advanced use is shocking. Voice to Text is awful vs google and 3rd party keyboards are extremely limited.As someone that actually uses their phone for work and used to dictate emails and texts rather than inefficient finger typing, Siri is just a decade behind everyone else and it shows so much.Also just aesthetically just to change minor things around is either insanely convoluted or functionally impossible.Cannot recommend at all for the cost and I'll be switching back to android as soon as possible.

Refurbished doesn’t mean same as Apple refurbished

Great value and fair price. Both glass casings came pristine. Casing had some scuff indentations, but still better than what I was expecting. I don’t know why people don’t understand that refurbished doesn’t always mean like new, especially if not stated as such. It took me two weeks to write a review because I wanted to test the device and know that I didn’t have to return it. When I got the device, the battery died super quickly. After learning about the latest iOS update, I turned off the 5G capability and changed the clean energy charging. After doing those two things, I noticed that the battery lasted a lot longer and the device wasn’t as warm either (I use my device for everything, so I’m on it all day). Trustworthy pre-owned option.

Got exactly what I paid for. The phone is great. Everything works as intended. The battery life was at 88% upon pick-up. It came with a charger and adapter. The phone had minimal cosmetic damage, only a minuscule scratch in the screen, which I covered with a protector anyways. My only gripe is that the phone was not cleaned prior to pickup. There is wax-like gunk in the speaker at the top of the phone, making it impossible to talk on the phone with the phone up to my ear. The bottom speaker which music plays out of is also dirty, because the sound quality is very crusty and not at an iPhones full potential. iPhone 12 Pro: NOT an improvement

Glass back cracks easily. Side buttons misplaced for fingers; almost unusable. No kidding.The back arrow in SMS/iMessage rarely takes you back on the first attempt. A software messup and huge time-waster.No home button makes it harder to close apps. Apps seem to remain open after physically closing them. Phone screen ignores fingertip touch for flashlight and for choosing/closing apps. Takes more than several taps.Select/Copy/Paste cursor placement has a mind of its own. Oh, and no fingertip recognition to open phone.All-around annoying software.Very disappointing piece of junk.P.S. Daily Battery Life not good either.
