My iPhone 13 has been good to me since the day I got it. I got this phone about 2 years ago, and it’s been going strong up to this point. I have no complaints at the moment, although I did have my battery replaced recently in the past few months due to the battery dropping to under the recommended percentage. This was due to heavy usage on my phone over the last 2 years though, so perfectly normal. Sometimes every now and then my phone will heat up when on phone calls, or especially facetimes, but usually if the camera is turned off this will go away. I’ve always loved the layout of everything on iPhones, from searching the web to your home screen to how the apps are laid out, I love the whole interface and this is why I started with Apple in the first place. It’s been a pretty good phone for the entire time I’ve had it, so I think if you want a good value phone, this is a good starter phone, though it may become a bit outdated in the coming years due to the natural slowing or lagging of older phones as they age.

I didn’t think it would be that big of a difference but was proven wrong. In the near future I will definitely get the Pro model for the camera quality. It’s just a shame that the marginal difference in quality is so different and its really to urge consumers to buy the most expensive product offered. The iPhone 13 doesn’t get a radical redesign from the iPhone 12. Its size and shape are almost unchanged, though the iPhone 13 has gotten just a tad thicker and 10 grams heavier. It’s still easy to hold, but continues to be just wide enough that it can be hard to reach over to the opposite side for one-handed swipe navigation. Though the design changes aren’t considerable, there’s enough difference that you won’t be able to use your older cases with the iPhone 13. Apple has shifted around the cameras, arranging them diagonally. Interestingly, while I expected the new camera bump to be the reason old cases might not fit, it’s actually that Apple has repositioned the power and volume buttons – so much for the waste reduction from leaving a charging brick out of the ... MoreThe iPhone 13 doesn’t get a radical redesign from the iPhone 12. Interestingly, while I expected the new camera bump to be the reason old cases might not fit, it’s actually that Apple has repositioned the power and volume buttons – so much for the waste reduction from leaving a charging brick out of the package. There are a few new colors for the iPhone 13, with a Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink, and Product(RED) option. Practically, the Pink color just replaced the Purple option from the iPhone 12. Apple has tweaked the colors somewhat as well, so the Blue of the iPhone 13 isn’t the same as the Blue of the iPhone 12, nor is the Product(RED) the same between phones – curious for a signature color. Apple continues to offer robust design with its tough Ceramic Shield on the front, aluminum frame, and considerable water resistance. While many phones are touting IP68 ratings, few are claiming resistance at a six-meter depth. The iPhone 13 doesn’t revamp Apple’s MagSafe. It’s still on board and providing wireless charging. Apple happened to send the MagSafe Wallet accessory, but I found the magnetic attachment was weak enough that sliding the wallet off was simply too easy to depend on. The iPhone 13's brighter display, longer battery life and powerful cameras make it the best iPhone for those on a budget. We wish it had faster charging and the iPhone 13 Pro's adaptive 120Hz display, but you're not missing that much versus the iPhone 14

I feel apple has really started to move in the backwards direction with this phone, and I’m not too impressed for the significant loan that was required to buy this phone outright, I expect much higher camera quality for a phone that costs $1,000. I purchased this phone, because I was tired of the issues I had with the Xs while trying to work. The GPS kept crashing. After getting this one, I’ve dealt with constant camera crashes, something others have complained about since it’s release. The other complaint I have is, when I have speaker phone on during calls, the recipient often cannot hear me when I’m RIGHT THERE. I feel like this is because the microphone is on the back, and gets cut off when I set it on my couch, or leg, or anything. I feel like this is because the microphone is on the back, and gets cut off when I set it on my couch, or leg, or anything. It had a really good battery life, I can take high quality shots with the camera when it works, I’m not super impressed with how it takes close up photos, they are still too blurry, there’s no macro camera ability as I thought there would be. One of the biggest things that drew me to it was the camera, and I low key wish I would have went with the 13 pro max instead. It has a very large storage capacity and I never have had to worry about storage, however I’m sure that the RAM will slow down if you have too much going on and a lot on it, I love the pressure touch responsive screen, it took me a bit to get the hang of turning on the flashlight from the home screen though! Think of it like you’re pressing a real button, and it will work! Overall, I do really like this phone, I’m kind of hard on phones sometimes because I do so much, I tend to overload processors and kill the battery over time. So far this phone has held up pretty strong for me. If you get the 13 line though, and want a good camera app, I’d recommend going ahead with the 13 pro max instead for the upgraded camera. If you’re obsessed with photography, this likely won’t satisfy your needs. The GPS works on this one at least!!

I absolutely love my pink iPhone 13! Apple doesn’t really change the design too much between iPhones, however this screen was updated to a 6.1 inch display for better visibility and the standard OLED screen. Apple also updated the storage, so having 128GB is a huge plus! You can also always add more storage on iCloud. This phone has 2 rear cameras and the front facing camera is even used for facial recognition features! The battery life on this iPhone is amazing, my phone always lasts the entire day without needing to recharge. But if necessary, it charges to 50% in about 30 minutes and fully charges in 2 hours. I have been using an Apple SE which I bought from John Lewis about 6 years ago and which, as an older generation, I found easy to use and it was small and light. I was reluctant to part with it fearing that the latest technology would be beyond me but everything has it's time and I had to make new choices. It was suggested that the Apple iPhone 13, iOS, 6.1", 5G would be the nearest to what I had been using and would bring me up to date in the mobile world. Not as high tech as I could have gone but it turned out to be the best choice for me. Transferring information from the old phone was simple as the phones sit side by side and do all the work for you. Once up and running there were just a few tweaks but basically I mastered it all within a day. The mobile is slightly larger and heaver than my old one but oh! how wonderful to be able to read the screen easily and the weight is not an issue. There are also some nice functions that are easier too. So glad I overcame my fear of change.

I got the iPhone 13 after My old (yes that's right , old lol ) iPhone 8 Plus started to over heat. So after seeing this on here for a reasonable price and the guarantee was a great extra too. The iPhone is great I'm still adjusting to no button....although I know that makes me sound and feel rather old and outdated! The features on this phone are amazing and so much more packed into than my old one. I'm probably finding it more like a brand new type of phone altogether as my old one does now feel old and worn compared to this iPhone 13! The 128 gb is so much needed, as people have so many things I'm phones now too, at least I'm not constantly having the "storage full" notification coming up as I now have loads of free storage in the 13. I just bought an Apple iPhone 13, iOS, 6.1", 5G, SIM Free, 128GB and was amazed at how easy it was to transfer all of the data from my last phone. I considered which features were important to my lifestyle, the size of phone I required, and how much I wanted to spend before shopping around to see what the market had to offer. This model comes in a range of colours, green, blue, red, pink, white, and Midnight Blue. I chose Midnight Blue. I needed to receive business emails, often with large attachments, browse the web, lookup directions, take excellent quality photographs and, for pleasure, play around with songwriting on GarageBand. The price is amazing for the features the phone offers. The touchscreen is sensitive and the face recognition works really well. I needed to receive business emails, often with large attachments, browse the web, lookup directions, take excellent quality photographs and, for pleasure, play around with songwriting on GarageBand. The price is amazing for the features the phone offers. The touchscreen is sensitive and the face recognition works really well. The phone is fast (5G), the battery lasts a long time and the screen is clear. The duel camera system offers many features and editing potential. There is ample storage for music, videos and podcasts and the sound quality is brilliant. Superb value for money.

iPhone 13 Review: A Solid All-Rounder
23 September 2024

If you’re looking for a smartphone that feels just right in your hands—balancing power, looks, and ease of use—the iPhone 13 might be calling your name. It’s that perfect middle ground: not too fancy like the Pro models, but definitely not a downgrade. The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display makes everything from Netflix to your Instagram feed look vibrant and sharp. Under the hood, the A15 Bionic chip handles anything you throw at it, whether it's gaming or juggling multiple apps, without even breaking a sweat. And let’s talk about the camera. Dual lenses, night mode that actually works, and some crazy good image stabilization that keeps your photos steady even if your hand isn't. For someone who's always snapping pictures of friends, food, or just the sky, it’s a real joy.The battery? Big improvement. You can actually go through a full day of streaming, texting, and scrolling without hunting for a charger by midday.**Pros:**- Fast, smooth performance that handles everything with ease.- Stunning OLED display for those who care about crisp colors and deep blacks.- Cameras that deliver, especially in low light.- Battery life that lasts the whole day.**Cons:**- If you’ve been dreaming of a high refresh rate (120Hz), you won’t find it here.- Not much has changed design-wise from its predecessor.- Charging speeds aren’t breaking any records.---### Comparing it to My Older iPhones1. **iPhone 4s (Throwback to 2011):**Ah, the iPhone 4s! Remember how small that 3.5-inch screen felt in your hand? It was the first time Siri became a part of our lives. Now, fast forward to the iPhone 13—it feels like holding the future. The screen is more than twice as large and absolutely stunning in comparison. Where the iPhone 4s might struggle with today’s apps and tasks, the iPhone 13 handles them like they’re nothing. The cameras alone are in a completely different league, not to mention the performance jump from the older A5 chip to the A15 Bionic.2. **iPhone XR (Released in 2018):**I remember the iPhone XR as that perfect mix of affordability and power at the time. It had a larger screen than previous models, and we all loved the battery life and performance of the A12 Bionic chip. The iPhone 13, though, kicks things up a notch. The screen on the 13 is OLED compared to the XR’s LCD, meaning blacks are deeper and colors pop more. It’s faster, more power-efficient, and the camera quality? It’s like going from amateur to pro. If you’ve used the XR, you’ll feel a noticeable boost with the 13 in terms of speed and the overall experience.3. **iPhone 13 Pro Max (Released in 2021):**Now, comparing the iPhone 13 to the Pro Max, which is almost its twin, there are some differences. If you’ve been using the Pro Max, you’ll notice the iPhone 13 is smaller and lacks the fancy 120Hz ProMotion display that makes everything feel smoother. And, of course, the Pro Max's camera has that extra telephoto lens, so if you’re into zoom shots, the 13 might feel like it’s missing something. But for everyday use? The iPhone 13 is every bit as fast and capable, just without those extra Pro features.---So, what’s the vibe? The iPhone 13 is like that reliable friend who’s always there when you need them—solid, dependable, and with enough wow factor to impress without going overboard. If you’re coming from an older model like the iPhone 4s or XR, it’s a massive leap in every way. But if you’ve had the iPhone 13 Pro Max, you might feel like you’re scaling back on a few premium touches, but not enough to miss them in everyday life.
