The iPhone 13 Pro Max is, well, max. At 6.3 by 3.1 by 0.3 inches and 8.5 ounces, it's a large, heavy phone that you won't want to use in one hand. That's the price you pay (along with your $1,100) for this kind of battery life. But you're probably used to it already, as it's almost exactly the same size as the 12 Pro Max. It's a little heavier than last year's model, though, which weighed 8.0 ounces. It’s roomy, narrow-bezel screen gets a little bit more real estate from a slightly smaller notch than on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple has said in numerous articles- the notch is 20% smaller than before. On the back, the Pro Max's triple-camera system juts out noticeably. I'd smooth it out with a case, although you don't necessarily need one for protection—the phone carries IP68 waterproofing and has Apple's tough "ceramic shield" screen coating. (with a phone this nice I still like to always get a screen protector, they have awesome designs and custom ones for cases sold on castify.com I even found cute little sparkle individual camera lens covers to put on for extra protection (and it's a cute touch! They have tons of colors on Amazon that will work with any Apple 11 up! The 13 Pro Max comes in four colors, including blue, gold, graphite (gray), and silver. The blue is very cool and elegant, as you can see below. CONS- BIG HEAVY Like other phones its size, this is more of a bag phone than a pocket phone. It fits in my coat and jacket pockets, but it'll stick out of most pants pockets but I've noticed over the years so did just about every iPhone from the 6 and up! OVERALL I RECOMMENDED THIS 100% I am an Mac/Apple user is all things from phones, watches, laptops, TVs. You name it if it has an apple on it, it’s definitely in our household!

I am obsessed with my iPhone 13 Pro Max! This was a great upgrade from my iPhone XS. I bought it in November 2021 from an ATT store. I loved the Sierra Blue color, but it wasn’t in stock at the store. ATT shipped it to my house and it was delivered in about two weeks. The first major difference I noticed was the quality of the pictures I took with the camera! They are much more clear and not pixelated. The colors vibrant and details are very sharp and clear. I was very impressed when I took my first picture using this phone. I take a lot of pictures of my pets and the photo quality was wayyyy better than it previously was, especially in the dark or in any poor lighting. The tri-camera 2019 model never failed to underperform when compared to Samsung, Google phone, or Blackberry images. The 13 has a noticeable upgrade in richness to what I would consider ‘acceptable’, though Apple is still far from the capabilities I’ve seen on the aforementioned models. Low light photo has improved, but video still looks 5 years behind, pixelated and grainy like an entry-level DSLR. The photographic styles prior to shooting are a game-changer for me. The attribute I disliked most about the iPhone 11 Pro Max camera was the yellowed appearance of shots right off the device; I would forever be decreasing the warmth and filtering important moments. On the 13 you can set a pre-filter, more or less, that eliminates the yellowed look with multiple options. The portrait and cinematic modes can be rewarding, but ultimately the device is using an algorithm to edge detect and I’m not into the fake blurs around people, which is what you would mostly be capturing with the high aperture…lots more work to be done there. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the call quality bump as well. Perhaps that was an update from the 12, but I just exited a loud car and when the other end of my call could not hear me with my Sony XM4s (yes call quality is still trash on their flagship headphone model), switching to the phone directly eliminated all surrounding sound other than my voice—the 11 wasn’t quite that notable in loud environments. As far as pricing is concerned $1099 is the standard these days, so without a price increase I don’t have anything negative to say. To me, the value I get over 2 years from a device worth that pays for itself 20 times over. With Verizon’s trade-in discount my upgrade cost $99 and tax—the decision was clear. FYI: Def don’t need another wall charger after receiving the 20v with the 11...the 30v usb bricks also work…so no worries on the footprint reduction. At this point I have too many white cords as it is and the mag safe adaptation is only $39, which naturally I purchased to maximize the new phone high. I did, however, find it odd that they did not include the upgraded rope wire that came with a new keyboard I purchased…hmm

Best iPhone camera yet - the wide lens is great fun!

I've been a long-term iPhone user, and setting up up my business after working for someone else I found myself needing a phone, so I went from a 12 Pro Max to this 13 Pro Max, expecting little difference.However, the screen and the camera are very good indeed, and as someone that takes a lot of photos, I really appreciate the camera upgrades - not one, but all of them!The rear facing cameras show the most significant difference, especially the tele and wide cameras. The zoom end is better too, now doing 3x zoom instead of 2.5x on the last camera.The portrait setting that does blurred backgrounds is also much better, which is down to processing, so even though the 12 uses the same software, the 13 does a better job. I did a video the other day and even way past the max 3x zoom, I was amazed at how good 5.3x came out - it was excellent. If you like selfies, the front facing camera is also the best yet.On the downside, it's a little chunkier than previous iPhones, but battery life is the best I've had, though it didn't start that way. I was losing over 30% battery overnight, and looked all over for a solution. Some experts say it settles down after you've transferred from your last iPhone, but a few weeks in I decided to 'reset all settings' which leaves your data but resets lots of other stuff. It was painful to get it back how I liked it, but the battery drain issue completely disappeared right away. What I liked :Fit and finish of the iPhone 13 Pro Max has to be the best on the market as of March 2022. It's not light, and it just feels perfect in my hand. I like the flat edges of this phone, and honestly it just looks really nice compared to some of the iPhones of yore and was enough to convince me to dump my usual choice of going with a Galaxy in favor of something different than the usual. Plus Sierra Blue is really pretty and it reminds me of the Zephyr Blue Metallic paint on the 03-05 Toyota Celica. Kinda wish it came in Midnight Green, that color was so cool. For most of us, myself included, it'll take age to slow down this iPhone. The display is nice, 120hz so playing a few mobile games look great on this as well as watching a youtube video or two. Also the battery life on this phone is insane, I am on day two of not having it on the charger and it's hit around 36% and I use this phone for some critical functions of my job (calls, task management, ect) so there has been a consistent load on it outside of when I sleep. AirPlay is awesome by the way, hands down one of my favorite features is being able to quickly and seamlessly slip between my car's stereo and a pair of head phones. Also the speaker quality is pretty dang nice too!The camera might be the next best thing next to the design for the 13 Pro Max. Low light looks pretty good when I take pictures or use it for videos. There are neat short cuts like tap back which I use to turn on the flashlight on the phone, it's not the brightest thing but it does a good enough job. The screen responds nicely and taking videos of my dogs running in slow mo has never been so entertaining, plus the camera taking a mix of photo and video has earned some giggles too.What I hated :So the first thing I am going to get out of the way is that I came from a Galaxy S10+, everyone that I have talked about iOS to has claimed that it is either a different beast altogether (Not really) and that it is more functional than Android by far (I wouldn't agree or disagree with this). Organization is NOT something I would say iOS does well, with Android you have the App drawer, with iOS I have made different folders and prayed that my goldfish like memory wouldn't end with me trying to find one of the many apps I use. Stacks/Widgets aren't bad, but I feel like Android does this better as well. This isn't exactly something I would call bad, but it was enough for me to second guess this phone after a couple of days because my organization of all the apps I use was driving me nuts. For a company that focuses on the idea of things "Just working" I think Apple needs to take a look outside and make some minor tweaks to perfect iOS.I also kind of miss my custom roms for Android as well but anyone with two functioning brain cells knows why Apple doesn't allow that sort of thing. Also 3rd party apps don't always work even if you approve them and for crying out loud allow us to emulate or VM older versions of iOS for older apps that can be found on the App Store! I was looking forward to trying Doom II RPG on this phone but iOS 15 isn't compatible and I am too lazy to find a work around at this time.I really like the way this phone feels in my hand though, and if I had to buy another phone again (please no) I'd stick with the 13 Pro Max cause I like it THAT much.

The quality is fine but the price tag hurts.

My 7+ finally died. It still looked new, but just couldn’t keep going. I shopped online and found the best deals on the 11 and 12 models, but could not get one without a wait of days to weeks. I must have a phone a work due to safety practices, so waiting wasn’t an option.I attempted to buy an 11, then a 12, then a 13 but all were out of stock, despite saying on the website that they were not. Then, the 13 Max sold out while I was speaking to the sales rep about it.
