I had considered getting the Pro, but that was on back order, and since I don’t do much video, I decided the regular iPhone 14 would be good enough for what I need. It is smaller than the other versions, so it is good for people (like me) with small hands. Let me just say, I ordered this new iPhone 14 online and set it up myself: this was the easiest data transfer/phone setup I have ever gone through. Having gone from one iPhone to another, the new phone walked me through the setup process and automatically pulled all of my apps, passwords, and other data from my old phone and installed it on the new one; all I had to do was log into my different accounts. Now, I have low vision, so I rely heavily on accessibility features. Having gone from one iPhone to another, the new phone walked me through the setup process and automatically pulled all of my apps, passwords, and other data from my old phone and installed it on the new one; all I had to do was log into my different accounts. Now, I have low vision, so I rely heavily on accessibility features. The iPhone has multiple settings that I utilize, first and foremost enlarged font sizes. On my previous iPhone, the size I set would cause text to bunch and overlap, rendering it illegible. Despite the iPhone 14’s screen being only a little larger, I am happy to say that this issue has almost completely vanished. Apple touchscreen products, like their watch, iPhone, and iPad all use the same touch commands, making them extremely easy to use and navigate once these different controls are learned; this new iPhone is no different there. For the Facial recognition, it is an extremely convenient feature that works whether or not I am wearing a surgical mask; the only frustrating part is that I have to be fairly close to the screen to see it, which is much too close for the facial recognition feature to work, so before I even realize it is going to scan my face, it has already tried multiple times and then requires me to enter my passcode or password manually. The only thing that makes this particular inconvenience tolerable and less interruptive is that I have an Apple Watch which, when close enough to the iPhone, unlocks it if facial recognition fails (my watch is frequently vibrating to let me know it—not my face—opened the phone or an app). iCloud is still a fantastic feature, and I haven’t encountered any issues pulling up information on my phone or iMac. The new battery life on this phone is also a huge plus! I have used it to listen to lossless audio streaming, watching videos, streaming shows and live tv, reading, online shopping, GPS navigation, and random browsing. I am on my phone or listening to music for hours each day, more so the past week because of the Thanksgiving holiday, and while I choose to charge my phone any time it gets under 80%, I haven’t even had to do that every day. The only real glitch I have encountered is that on some phone calls, I cannot adjust the sound volume during the call with the phone’s side buttons. Otherwise, it does everything I need and more, so I am very happy with this new iPhone and, for sure, recommend it!

Jumped from the 13 max to 14 max solely for the camera and I usually don’t just jump a single phone model - slightly regretting it. The 13 had trouble autofocusing and selecting the right camera when taking photos out of an airplane cockpit. The 14 AF and camera selection seem to be slightly less temperamental so far, and the colors(especially in low light) seem truer. I’ve just sorted by people, selected a photo, “use as wallpaper” which automatically sets as your Lock Screen, and then forces you to choose a Home Screen photo(or Apple background) right then, but doesn’t let you sort by people which means you either have to screenshot the photo in advance so it’s easily accessible or scroll through all of your photos. The even worse scenario: What if I want to change just my Home Screen? Why am I forced to completely redo my lock screen photo + widgets and then go fishing for my desire Home Screen photo!? I just don’t get how you sit down in a dev meeting and say, “Should we let people choose their Home Screen and Lock Screen photos independently of one another like we’ve done for years without issue? Nah, let’s change it.” Change just for the sake of change is no guarantee of improvement.Would not recommend the jump from a 13.

I made a big leap from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 14 this September 2023. I chose not to go with the newest version of iPhone 15 and I am happy with my decision. As it turns out, the charging cable has been updated with the iPhone 15. I can still use my old iPhone 8 cables for my new iPhone 14. I am supper impressed with how the iPhone 14 keeps its charge. I can go all day without charging it! I thought that I would have a hard time using a phone without the home button, but I’ve adapted quite easily with the 14. I love the face recognition feature. A definite plus over using my fingerprint. The size of the phone is just a tad larger than the 8 and the screen is so much more! I have more GB’s to store and the phone is a 5G. And I’m please with the blue color I chose. ... MoreI made a big leap from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 14 this September 2023. I love My MacBook Air and iPad so I figured I would like the phone. NO, I hate it. This phone takes terrible pictures. I have had it for about 3-4 months and I am going to flip it for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. My old galaxy S5 takes better photos. I really wanted to like this phone. I mostly use my phone for photos social media and phone basics. I will say the battery life is pretty good, no dropped calls, good sync with the blue tooth in the vehicle and I appreciate the ability to sync with my other Apple products. Sorry I hate to give Apple a lousy review and maybe I should have gotten the 14pro supposedly it has a better camera so please in the future just find a way to match the cameras on Samsung or The pixel and the Apple phone would be perfect.
My new iPhone 14 is great. VZ gave me $800 on the trade-in of my iPhone 8 which was an offer I couldn't refuse. 5G where connected, improved camera, longer battery time. They did a good job transferring all of my apps from the old phone, but I'm having to reinstall a few such as home security. I haven't mastered the touch of turning off apps running in the background. Necessary for me to re-LogIn to the phone more than my previous phone, but I'm sure I haven't learned the shortcut. I do not use the facial recognition LogIn. New phone charger does not use a USB connector. Presidio2 Grip case case is great, magnetic, sturdy. The phone and case together are too big to fit in the cup holder of my car where I like to store the phone while driving. Lots of new tricks for ... MoreMy new iPhone 14 is great. Good Points: Transfer from previous Iphone to the new 14 was very easy. Lovely clear screen, which is plenty large enough to do all I need & the overall size of phone is great to slip into a pocket / bag.Great colour choice & with a matt clear case I can see the colour phone purchased, lovely!Improvement Points: I do feel many mobile phones are over priced & that sure applies to apple, etc.. but I guess they are now mini computers?Camera quality still only on par, maybe just slightly better than my previous Iphone7, thought it would've been much improved. I know you've got to shell out a further £400+ for the pro to get all the bells & whistles re: photo quality, not prepared to go the extra cash for that. Also, why take away the simple alarm marker at the top ... MoreGood Points: Transfer from previous Iphone to the new 14 was very easy. Nothing major, but some things should just be left alone, no point in changing some things for the sake of an update!
After years of being an android user, my friends and family (assuming I was living in the dark ages), convinced me to get an iPhone. I already have an iPad, so I knew what to expect. What I didn’t know was how bad the camera was going to be. The selfie camera is the worst. I don’t take pictures to post online, but I do use the camera to document skincare of products I test (I’m an aesthetician). The selfie camera was the worst I’ve ever seen. Very sharp with high contrast. The camera has a horrible automatic processor. No wonder all these iPhone users use filters and AI. It showed every flaw beyond what is seen in the mirror. I have a lot of very light freckles. This camera made my skin look completely sun damaged. The phone also heated up when charging, which was ... MoreAfter years of being an android user, my friends and family (assuming I was living in the dark ages), convinced me to get an iPhone. I have a lot of very light freckles. This camera made my skin look completely sun damaged. The phone also heated up when charging, which was unpleasant. There were things I liked about the phone. Being able to iMessage with my people and a few other things. But in the end, it wasn’t worth the cost. I ended up returning it before the days were up and reinstated my trusty old android. There was nothing wrong with it, my line was just available for an upgrade. Next time, I’ll do a little more research because if you look on google, there are so many people complaining about the camera and articles and how to fix it, which nothing does. I’ll stick with Samsung, thanks!
This iPhone 14 replaces my iPhone 11. Please note that I am a long time user of Apple products from the first day those years ago when i was introduced to Apple's desktop computer that looked like something from outer space and everything had to be programmed into it. I love Apple products. Apple products are the best of the best and soo easy to use and if I come up with a problem that I cannot fix, all it takes is a quick message to Apple's wonderful support team. This new Apple Series 14 phone that I just got from Verizon replaces my iPhone Series 11 phone. I really do like this new phone. It is much thinner and lighter in weight than the Series 11 Phone which means that it takes up lesser space in my purse. This new Apple Series 14 phone that I just got from Verizon replaces my iPhone Series 11 phone. I really do like this new phone. It is much thinner and lighter in weight than the Series 11 Phone which means that it takes up lesser space in my purse. When I go for my walks the Series 14 phone fits so much better in my pocketed belt that I wear and the lighter weight makes the belt much more comfortable. I have small hands and because of the slimmer size the phone fits nicely in my hands and this is important. Yesterday when out walking, I received a call from my Granddaughter some 2000 miles away. It was nice to be able to hold the phone comfortably in my hand as we talked. And the reception was excellent.....so clear and faultless and my Granddaughter sounded as if she was there walking along beside me as she talked. Then, the Series 14 phone has some new features to explore and enjoy.Thank you Verizon for offering to your customers such a quality phone for signing up for your phone service. I am so grateful for the new phone. I am going to really enjoy my new phone service and this new phone. You are so appreciated.
The iPhone 14 is worth it!The redesigned construction of the iPhone 14 alone makes it worth buying over the iPhone 13. Here is why: The iPhone 14 can be taken apart from the rear by removing the the rear cover. So, why is that a big deal? If the rear cover breaks on the i13, it will cost over $500 to repair, the i14 will only cost $160. The 6 gig of memory and the camera upgrade are great additional added benefits as well. Here is the back story: This is my first iPhone and I did my home work. I came from the Android world of phones. Yes, I could have gotten the iPhone14 Pro(Max) but I did not need it. If I wanted the pro, I would have gotten the pro. Set up was easy. However, there was a bit of a learning curve going from an android to ISO 16.6. but I am getting ... MoreThe iPhone 14 is worth it!The redesigned construction of the iPhone 14 alone makes it worth buying over the iPhone 13.
