As I choose “excellent condition” I was expecting the battery life to be much better. As soon as I start using the phone I get battery low message. So feel like I’m forever charging. Not confident that the battery lasts when I go out for the day. Yes, the battery health is at 84, so it is above the battery guarantee that ozmobile offers, but this phone does not operate well with this battery health. I should have read the fine print better. I thought theatric I would buy through a place like ozmobile it would be refurbished or at least the battery would be replaced. Minor upgrade for a repair place, but very costly to have it done as a consumer. Also earphone jack is not reliable. And the screen isn’t always responsive to touch.

Apple products have generally been an aesthetic over performance type of phone brand for a long time, especially after the 4 has long come and gone (and as other phones have been on par if not exceedingly better quality). This phone has fair camera/recording quality. However, the formatting (screen grid makeup, location for applications, etc.) is simple yet limiting. Same as other models. They are somehow over the top yet at the same time underwhelming to use. Since not caring about brand over price as well as usage over time, I've found much better phones that get more life out of them at a better turnaround rate that differ from Apple phones (and even some Samsung; and I'm not purely referencing that of the Google Pixel). Time will tell if either the hype will die ... MoreApple products have generally been an aesthetic over performance type of phone brand for a long time, especially after the 4 has long come and gone (and as other phones have been on par if not exceedingly better quality). I bought this to replace an identical 6S that had broken. The phone arrived in great condition but…. The battery is truly AWEFUL. The battery health was at 82%. Which is to be expected from an older phone. However the phone it replaced, an exact same model and age, had reported a 75% battery health. The older phone could run for a good 6-8 hours of active use before dying. This refurbished phone, with the better battery health, dumps its entire charge in a whopping 30 minutes. The T-Mobile rep activating my phone was stunned while he watched in real time as the phone went from 63% to 33% to DEAD in the course of about 3 minutes. Either this company tampered with the original battery to display fake health values, or they replaced the original battery with a significantly inferior one likely not rated for this phones normal power needs. Either way it was an enormous disappointment that is literally pushing me to just go and buy a new phone just to not have to deal with bad refurbishment companies ever again.

The iPhone 6 was the worst one for me. I constantly had issues with it, the worst being the battery life. After a couple of years, the battery wouldn’t stay charged for more than a couple of hours. It seems like a device that was as expensive as this would work at least until it was paid off. I bought a charging case, which worked for a while, but even that stopped charging it. The camera ended up breaking too, so I had to get a new phone after about 2 years. Multiple family members had these same issues with this model. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you like throwing money out the window and enjoy being frustrated on a daily basis.

The iPhone 6s Plus is a reliable and user-friendly smartphone. Its large screen is great for watching videos and browsing the web, and the touch screen is responsive, making it easy to use. The camera takes decent photos, although it's not the best in low light. One downside is that it's a bit bulky and can be hard to fit in smaller pockets. The battery life is decent, getting you through a day with moderate use. The performance is still snappy for everyday tasks, although it may struggle with very demanding apps. In summary, the iPhone 6s Plus is a solid choice for those who want a larger screen and a straightforward smartphone experience, but it's starting to show its age in terms of camera quality and performance compared to more recent models.

Battery heath vs. run time, otherwise a good value.

This was bought to run an app to control my mom's hearing aids, and to let her use Google Voice for texts. Everything about the phone is great for this use except the battery life. Even at 81% health, it's running down faster than expected with only one app open most of the time, everything else turned off in the background. Had a similar issue with an iPhone 6, was at 96% health, but would run down in less than 2 hours. May have to just keep it plugged in until I find another. Other than that, a great value, fast shipping.

Buyer Beware with pre-owned phones
10 April 2023

I assumed a pre owned iPhone would have had certain issues that Best Buy would correct before selling but I only had 30 days to use & figure out any problems in order to return it & in that period things seemed fine but on month 3 I realized the iPhone gets very hot sometimes & the battery drains fast. The companies that resale phones only correct minor things before resale so if the battery is bad when they get it then it’s still bad when they resale it. This phone gets so hot to the touch from a bad battery that I have to hold it next to ac vent to cool it. I don’t think a phone should be resold unless a major thing like battery is replaced just like they would replace broke screen or buttons. They are knowingly selling a pre owned phone that did not test before ... MoreI assumed a pre owned iPhone would have had certain issues that Best Buy would correct before selling but I only had 30 days to use & figure out any problems in order to return it & in that period things seemed fine but on month 3 I realized the iPhone gets very hot sometimes & the battery drains fast. So beware of buying pre owned phones because you may just be buying someone else’s junk.

Fraud
10 January 2023

This product was dead on arrival. I took it to the Apple store. They told me the logic board was defective. Daily Sale sold me a knowingly broken product. Then I tried to get a refund. I purchased the device on November 23 for a Christmas present for a family member. Daily Sale says that doesn't count as a holiday purchase. They only accept purchases made 11/24 to 12/25. Literally a day before. They WOULD NOT MAKE AN EXCEPTION. There support staff Dan was completely useless and uncaring. I will never buy from them again. Be wary of sites like this or you will learn the hard way like I did. Daily Sale is scam website. They never intended on selling me a working product to begin with and they know it.

Technically outdated, but only technically.

So currently we're now on the iPhone 12. Literally twice as far as long since this model first came out. So yeah, from a strictly technical viewpoint any iPhone 6 is outdated. But definitely don't get hung up on that. It remains an amazing phone. I believe the iPhone 6 was the first from Apple to offer a "plus" version with a larger screen. IDK, by this point I personally would expect any smartphone worth owning to have a minimum 5 inch screen. So to me the regular version at only 4.7 inches (same for 7, 8 & SE) just come up a little short solely for that reason. I mean, screen size is certainly not everything, but there should at least be a minimum universal standard since smartphones have evolved so much in all other aspects since they first hit a good 15 (maybe ... MoreSo currently we're now on the iPhone 12. I mean, screen size is certainly not everything, but there should at least be a minimum universal standard since smartphones have evolved so much in all other aspects since they first hit a good 15 (maybe more, not 100% sure on those figures) years ago. So definitely noteworthy to me and a big pro to any plus model. Moving on is the memory. I believe some 6's and/or 6 S's only have 16 GB memory, so since iPhone's have never supported micro SD card expansion a boost in memory is another major pro. For some 32 GB still isn't enough I'm sure, but for most, I'd say more than half, people 32 GB really should be plenty. The iPhone's cameras have always been one of the biggest sellers and strong points for iPhone's and while newer models are better still a 5 MP front camera and 12 MP main camera are actually pretty good and even better than a number of android's still on the market. I personally love the round physical button, it's of course on the 7, 8 & SE models too, just a feature I personally like enough to point out, especially as pretty much all android's have ditched any physical button (on the front of the phone, not counting the little volume & power buttons). Classic charger, well, classic among iPhone's, and even better a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. I haven't fully researched this, but I've heard a few times that the 6 & 6 S are the last models to still have a 3.5 mm headphone jack and that all newer one's use a custom port exclusive to iPhone's. Speed may not be up to par when compared with newer models, but it's certainly plenty adequate. The biggest selling point though is a combination of the overall package along with the price. A $150 used to be a Black Friday special for this phone, now as it's undoubtedly nearing the end of it's production run it's become it's regular price, making this a totally worthwhile phone. Thankfully there's at least one iPhone around at the moment that Apple isn't milking for every penny it's worth.

Thing To Keep In Mind With Refurbished Phones
16 July 2021

Within the last year I bought two iPhone 8’s from two different businesses. I bought the first one because I thought it was an iPhone 8 Plus but when I received it I ordered a different one without realizing I had made the same mistake but instead of trying again I just decided to keep the 8. One of the phones was in practically perfect condition while the other was in good condition but you could see a few nicks and scratches but that was the worst. I ended up letting my friend buy it from me so I wouldn’t have to deal with the return process and wait for my refund. When you look in the comments for any refurbished phone reviews they’re always very mixed and back-and-forth. But what most people don’t think about, is that the reason for this is because it’s literally different phones that have different levels of damage and use from the previous owner so they refurbish them to the best of their ability without losing money in the process. Then they usually rate them on an A , A, B ,B scale based on how much damage they still have which is usually just scratches or Knicks on the side where it’s been dropped and it’s not bad enough to really need to be changed. Not everything they replaced and/or restored is done so with new parts. If they have usable lightly used parts like screens, frames, screws, etc they’re gonna use those first. You’re getting the phone cheaper for a reason, because it’s been used and probably fixed with spare used parts.. What I suggest is that you read through the return policy and protocol then take the chance and order the phone. If it’s not what you expected or wanted, send it back and try a new shop. But be patient and understand it’s not gonna be brand new and the return process is not always quick!
