This if my first iphone as I come from samsung since I first ever received a phone (2011). So far ive had minimal issues with the phone. Occasionally itll overheat if outside or while on the charger. Never enough to cause panic and doesn’t remain hot for longer than a couple minutes. When I go through software updates, i dont have any issues. If i choose not to update the phone, it doesnt run slow or anything like rumors insist. I got the phone back in 2018 and so far its still pretty good. Apple already has cool unique features that they incorporate into their products and that is good as well

I was unsure about ordering a preloved phone because I wasn’t sure how “unused” it would look. In the end I ordered it because the price was amazing and I knew I could always return it. It arrived in a very smart generic box, which I knew it would, and that’s where the preloved experience ended. From then on I could have just opened a phone from Apple themselves. This phone is literally as new. I am very picky and I’ve been over this phone so many times and there is not a mark on it. It is perfect and the battery is new. I’m delighted. Delighted enough to write my first review without being asked. Order with complete confidence and save yourself a fortune

Distorted speaker and chipped red paint. BEWARE!
5 May 2022

I never written reviews but I was VERY compelled to write this review. I returned this phone the same day it was delivered. The phone screen was scratched up with red paint chipping on the back of the phone where the camera bump is at. As an earlier reviewer of this phone said about a year ago, the speaker was EXTREMELY DISTORTED, even at low volumes. I compared it with the speaker of my iPhone 8 Plus from my carrier and it was day and night different. Best Buy charged me $45 re stocking fee even though the phone DID NOT come shrink wrapped in a box. It came delivered in one of those bubble wrap envelopes that you buy at a major supermarket retailer. They didn’t even ship it in a cardboard box. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that Best Buy would even sell products like this with an EXTREMELY DISTORTED speaker. It came with 85% battery life and on iOS 15.1. Everyone please be aware expect to pay $45 re stocking fee if you are not satisfied with the condition you received the phone. I even checked off that the phone came defective on the return reason. My only regret is not taking photos to upload to this review since I was so upset upon receiving the phone.

Great deal on used iPhone!
27 December 2022

Paid $200 shipped for this supposeably used iphone and condition wise it is perfect. Can’ tell it’s been used at all. Not a scratch on it! I think it was a great deal for this 256k iPhone 8. Only slight issue was battery only rated at 76% but seems to last ok. I’m only using as a Wi/Fi device so it stays plugged into power most of the time so battery useage not really an issue. Received quickly with no problems. Been using for a week now and very happy with device. iPhone 8 is fully updateable to lastest ios (16) so works as well as iPhone 14. Not bad deal for only 200 bucks. I had been using iPhone 6 for years but apps quit working due to only ios12 available on it. So this solves that issue perfectly.

Battery life came already diminished to around 83% and after only having had the phone for around 2-3 months it requires ‘service’. It doesn’t hold a charge well at the moment and certain cables tend to completely flip out the phone to utter madness (will close tabs, scramble text, independently scroll the screen up and down like a demon possessed). The camera often has a hard stabilizing and the photos come out blurry, particularly the front camera which is nearly incapable of focusing unless you’re a certain distance away. There is also an odd quirk while texting, where it will suddenly jump me back in the paragraph mid type and I have to constantly bring it back to the end of my sentence and correct any words it might’ve scrambled. All of this fresh out of the ... MoreBattery life came already diminished to around 83% and after only having had the phone for around 2-3 months it requires ‘service’. All of this fresh out of the package! Overall, it’s a phone and does what a phone should do and has plenty of storage (so much storage!!) but all the various little grievances start to add up and make it seriously annoying to use. I upgraded from an iPhone 6 thinking it would be better but honestly? KIND OF A DOWNGRADE SOMEHOW….. not to mention how much I miss the headphone jack… (I’m old school, yo)

What a headache. Description is for a “Grade A” phone, but it was not. Battery only charged to 74% and the earpiece speaker was so low I couldn’t hear anyone on the other line. Contacted the seller (Noble Planet, 3rd party seller, not Wal Mart itself) via email and sent back the phone, using my own $$ (no return label included in the packaging). One week later I received another package, phone was the EXACT same phone (was supposed to be a replacement), just with a different protective ticker and item %23 sticker. Issue wasn’t fixed, so I took it to an Apple Store to see ho much it would cost to fix it- it required a completely new screen, $245, which was more than I paid for the refurbished phone. After another week of communication they finally agreed to take it back for a refund, but I’d have to pay the $15 again to ship it back to them. In the end I wound up selling it to the Apple Store for $100, and purchased a phone through Amazon (much better condition, in near new condition, no issues). Wish I would’ve gone through Amazon in the first place and saved myself the trouble and $$!!

Overheating Replacement Phone
21 July 2021

It took 5 days for T-Mobile 5 days…and a call from me…to even process my claim…that’s on T-Mobile. However, the replacement phone, although appearing new condition, SERIOUSLY overheated while in use. Assurant wanted me to go through AppleCare again, until I made it quite clear that they had not “fulfilled their obligations for this claim” and I saw no reason to include AppleCare because they were not involved in this particular part of the warranty agreement; the $99 was paid to Assurant to replace the 8+, unlocked, working cell phone. As far as unlocked, I don’t know, but I’ll test it out. Thank You

Phone was in great quality
5 May 2023

I ordered this phone in April and forgot to write my review lol. I bought the phone, and it came a few days earlier than expected. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see how protective and safely wrapped the phone was. It also came with a charger and charging brick. The phone came inside a box and it was in good quality when I turned it on with a 95% battery health. Updating the phone, was pretty easy and has worked perfectly since I got it. The only reason I gave this review 4 stars out of 5 was the terrible trade-in value. But it was to be understood, coming from a phone this old. I'm thinking of keeping the phone for a couple more months until I upgrade to something newer.

Visibly Good Condition But Unable To Activate
9 January 2023

My 9 year old daughter saved up and bought an iPhone 8 Plus which looked fine, turned on, and seemed to respond just fine. I could not get the phone to activate, though, no matter what I tried. I finally took it to an Apple Genius Bar and after a couple of hours they told me the GSM antenna wasn't responding, causing the device to not be able to activate. I contacted Noble Planet Inc. and asked if there was anything that they would be willing to do since they sold my daughter a device that would never have worked. All I got back was a canned response saying that I was outside the time-frame for returns. I was out of that time frame. They are "correct" and I wish I had had the time to look into it sooner. I wish, however, that they would have offered us something ... MoreMy 9 year old daughter saved up and bought an iPhone 8 Plus which looked fine, turned on, and seemed to respond just fine.
