I think it’s over priced by Apple. Not your fault. Your price was comparable to other sites. Luckily I did a lot of research before buying because if I ordered a different brand of the same product. It would not have given me the streaming availability that the Apple product does. But I received it on the same day I ordered it. So thumbs up to Walmart for excellent customer service.

Doesn’t work for downloaded movies from Netflix

Bought this to play downloaded movies on tv when we don’t have internet. All of the streaming apps have now blocked the ability to do this. You can only play content to the tv when it is streaming on WiFi or cellular which is ABSOLUTELY STUPID. Funny enough if you have content you ****found on the internet and downloaded wink wink** it plays with the adapter no problem. So this is in no way shape or form hurting people who pirate content just people who pay for it….cool cool cool. Tried this with hbo, Netflix, Disney paramount. They all block the functionality

Good product

The Apple hdmi to lightning adapter is well compatible to iPhone and the projector. I don’t need to download apps as someone said some adapters require it. I plug it in the phone and the phone mirrors. When the adapter is working, there’s not too much heat, it’s warm. But there is a small problem that sometimes the screen flickers. I have no idea whether it’s caused by the adapter or the projector hdmi cable.

It did not work well for me

this adapter did not work very well with my iphone 7 to HDMI to the TV.. if the connection was tight but it took some wiggling around a bit to get a picture and sound, but you couldn't breathe on the connection or the picture on the tv and sound were gone. the picture and sound were intermittent, I used the same HDMI cable from my laptop to the TV and no problems at all. I had a cheap adapter and it didn't work, so I spent the extra money on the apple product and it was unsatisfactory as well. the problem could be my iphone, but I would not recommend this product with the experience I had. This is no reflection on the Staples company.

The product works like advertised.

Works very well so far. Connected it to my iPhone and mirrored online programming for more than two hours several times. I brought a cheaper version that wasn’t a Apple product on Amazon and had to sent it back twice. I buy a lot from Amazon and Walmart both have been good for me but sometimes you get what you pay for. The Apple product cost twice as much but worth the money because it works like it is supposed to. But I had to learn through trial and error.

These things are awful

If you are using these are on a regular basis and even being gentle they break very frequently I’ve already bought two in the past year. They are expensive and they start going out so fast it’s insane. You would think that they would make something that’s $50 a little more durable. Mine stays by my tv I even reinforced my new one and what do you know it’s broken again. I’m about to buy an off brand and see how that goes because at this point even if I had to buy 4 of off brands it would be cheaper than this $50 piece of garbage.

Unsure of Authenticity of Product

I searched the internet for a better deal on this Apple Lightning to HDMI Adapter. While I found one through Walmart's marketplace, I should have paid closer attention to the reviews. The adapter arrived with no box/packaging to identify it as an Apple product, or how to use it. In addition, there was no invoice to contact the company I purchase from directly.I set up the adapter with the HDMI cable I also purchased through the marketplace following the directions I found on a YouTube video. It worked for one evening of play, although I had to restart from my ipad several times when the picture would freeze or pixelate. When I tried rhe next night, the show I had been watching wouldn't play because my device wasn't authorized to play protected content. Wired AirPlay device, not a real HDMI adapter

Since iPad mini does not have HDMI chips, this adapter actually work as a wired AirPlay device.That means, my iPad screen will be compressed/encoded, sent via the Lightning port to this adapter, and get decoded from this adapter and sent to my TV as HDMI signal.There are visible loss of quality especially on greens, plus ~200 ms latency that makes gameplay impossible.iPad will only output audio to either this AirPlay adapter, or the 3.5mm port. Works just like you'd expect!

I bought this so my wife and I could plug our iPhones into to the HDMI cable that runs to our projector when we want to have little projector movie date nights while the kids watch their own shows somewhere else. This works great, and let's me even plug my phone in to charge while it's connected to the HDMI cable so I don't have to worry about running the battery down or it ruining the battery life of my phone whenever I do this. It's a bit pricey, but honestly anything Apple pretty much is, but this hands down will work 100 times better than any other option out there for a lightning iPhone. I give this a 10/10, definitely recommend, it's a great adapter and I'm really happy I ordered it, and I think you will be too!

don't do pickup, walmart gives you used items

I had ordered an apple lightning to hdmi adapter and did the curbside pickup so I didn't have to go in and look for the item. I didn't open my bag until I got to school and the box I received was already opened and obviously very used and worned. The cable has crinkles and dirt/grime on what is supposed to be a white new adapter. Even the lightning plug has black discoloration. I'm highly upset Walmart would sell this like that. I will be returning it.
