I have the Mac Book 2020 with the first generation M1 chip. I believe this was the first one after the intel chip. It performs great for my needs which include light gaming, website coding and running the Adobe Creative Suite. It’s lightweight and portable. It syncs well with my iPhone and iPad by using Apple ID. Got this on discount from Walmart and have had zero issues. I’ve had various iMacs and MacBooks over the years and the performance of this stands up next to the others. Based on past models, this should hold up for years to come.

The battery on this thing is simply insanely exceptional. Like there is no way something this small delivering this much power can do it with this much longevity. I had videos playing in the back while doing app development and this thing had juice to keep going for a few more hours.Big pros: nice keyboard (ANSI layout in this one), top facing speakers, max portability. OS X also gets regular updates to (for now) Sonoma on this so don't worry about the software. You get the Apple kitchen sink software with the laptop, obviously.Cons: not my favorite shape, the new flatter macs has more appeal imo. Scratch magnet if you don't clad this laptop with a thicc sleeve. Only 2 type C ports, you'll need a dongle. RAM and SSD are baked in, you can't upgrade.I was ... MoreThe battery on this thing is simply insanely exceptional. I bought this 4 days ago - it arrived next day with a totally flat battery. Once charged and set up the System Report showed an Apple limited 6 month warranty and not the expected 1 year AppleCare for a new product. It has taken 2 calls and 40 minutes on the phone to Apple support, I have had to explain the issue to 4 different people and eventually I was piy through to Apple's "Agreements" team in Cork who handle warranty issues. They have now corrected this on their systems to a full year of Apple Care and I now have 60 days to buy the multi year Apple care package rather than rely on the JLP warranty which from the other reviews on this site seems to be flawed. If you also want the Apple Care then check your machine's status by clicking on the Apple, About ... MoreI bought this 4 days ago - it arrived next day with a totally flat battery. I ordered a 2019 MacBook Air in Space Gray in the Ecofriendly condition. Hell Yeah! Great price on a great laptop! The screen, keyboard, and overall condition is excellent! Why is it considered Ecofriendly? There is a "sticker shadow" on the lid of the laptop from where the previous user had one but its only visible if you look at it from the right angle/light. There is a scratch on the screen bezel but in the lower right corner out of sight and sure there are a few wear/tear marks around the case of the laptop but that would all be considered normal for a just under 4 year old laptop. This thing boots fast, was in "new out of the box" start up state and ready for me with a 74% charged battery. The battery life on this MacBook Air is great! Especially for being almost 4 years old. The screen is crisp and looks brand new. All the keys are responsive and the touch pad works without issue.I can't believe this was as cheap as it is but I am glad it was. Perfect for my needs and right in the right price range!I highly recommend Plug for your tech needs and I look forward to purchasing from them again in the future. Plus they have a rewards program!
Although this is not the latest model of MacBook Air, it is perfectly adequate for my needs. It is considerably smaller and lighter than my previous 2016 model Air, though this is partly at the expense of reducing connectivity. There are only USB-C ports so I had to buy an adaptor for connecting devices that use original USBs and memory cards. The touch pad is beautifully smooth and fingerprint recognition is a welcome feature when logging in or confirming identity. Greater storage capacity also good. My old Air partially had to be pensioned off as it was full.
I bought this as a gift for my grandmother to replace her previous macbook air, which had finally given up after 9 years of use. This is a fantastic laptop for the price and provides more than enough power for anyone that needs a computer for day-to-day browsing, streaming and emailing, and wants something that will last. The design is really solid and up to Apple's usual build quality, with some nice improvements from the old macbook, including a fingerprint reader and larger trackpad. As for the operating system, this is very easy and intuitive to use, and my grandmother finds it pretty straightforward after I helped get her set up and logged in to her usual accounts.I highly reccomend this computer if you want something that will last and is very hassle-free.
The Apple MacBook Air 13.3-inch in Space Gray with a 1.6GHz Dual-Core i5 and 128GB storage is a remarkable device. Its Retina display is nothing short of stunning, making visuals crisp and vibrant. The powerful processor ensures swift performance for everyday tasks. It’s incredibly thin and lightweight, making it perfect for mobility. Although the storage may feel limited for some, its overall sleek design, high-quality build, and impressive display make it a top-notch choice for productivity and portability.
I was formerly using an Intel powered MacBook Pro for work, which at the time I loved. After leaving that role I handed it back and was in the market for my own MacBook when going self-employed in marketing. I was ready to spend the cash on another MacBook Pro but heard from numerous tech-savvy friends that the new Apple M1 chip was a game changer, and that the M1 MacBook Air in particular was incredible value. After taking their advise on board and going for it I have truly blown away by this laptop. It is way faster than my old Pro, holds its charge significantly better and is just a superior bit of kit. I couldn't criticise anything. I suppose the one consideration is that if you're looking for a new design then the this MacBook isn't very different to ones ... MoreI was formerly using an Intel powered MacBook Pro for work, which at the time I loved. I suppose the one consideration is that if you're looking for a new design then the this MacBook isn't very different to ones before it. It doesn't have the touchscreen strip running horizontally above the keys that the Pro had, and doesn't really bring anything new to the table as far as design goes. For me personally, this wasn't an issue.Would definitely recommend 4 months into use.
Received the laptop 5 days after expected delivery, part the sellers fault for now shipping it on time and part FedEx fault for misplacing the laptop. Opened the box and was instantly disappointed. At first glance there were small dents and scratches. I anticipated a few but expected something that appeared more like new. I powered on and logged in because I suspected it wasn’t the year model/ edition reflected in the description. The system specs did not list the release year like it should have so I searched Apple tech site for the model. It confirmed it was a 2012 edition and not a 2019 edition as listed. The MacBook also had a metal textured sticker on it, some of which was lifted at the edges. Definitely not what I paid for and will be returning. I wish I had read the reviews and did a little more research in ny haste to purchase this and get it shipped to my daughter at college. I thought I was getting a great deal “Geek Squad Certified Refurbished” but as many others have mentioned, the charger that was sent with the laptop was incorrect! I chatted with tech-support as well as called and spoke to someone and basically was told “oh well that’s what happens sometimes and there is nothing they can or will do. The options offered to me were to return the item to Best Buy to see if they can exchange it or just give me a refund. Obviously this is not acceptable because my daughter is away at college and I believe he said 13 days from the day I received it to even do this.
