This is a perfect companion to my Mac Mini M2 desktop system. I have learned I prefer the Apple O/S over Windows. I have had to use both for Home and work - the Apple just syncs everything to gather so well! Now that I am retired these two Apple systems just work in harmony together and keep everything up to date. What I change on one system is updated on the other.I needed to replace my old MacBook Pro from 2013 for my travel Photo Processing needs. The ten year old system couldn't keep up with the demands of the new AI tools that have come out. This new system handles Lightroom, Photoshop, and Topaz without skipping a beat.I felt it is a bit overpriced and maybe expensive, but I am very happy with my purchase and have absolutely no regrets.

M2 did not excite me as it was still a 7nm chip and was not that big of a difference. M3 line up though, is super amazing. For work back in 2017 my job gave me a macbook pro and got to keep it when I left that job. I was willing to die on the Intel based Macbooks as the thing was a beast until it died. Going kicking and screaming to an M based chip - alas I was forced to as I like Mac's for photography & video editing.And man am I glad I did. I got the 16" Pro with M3 Pro, 36GB Ram. I still wished it had a dedicated GPU but this keeps up really well.This thing is a best - it feels hefty, really well built. Gorgeous screen, long battery life, sounds awesome.Clearly there are other laptops that exceed these specs so there's definitely an apple tax at play here - but still - I'm happy with this purchase.

Just be prepared for the high price point, but if you're reading this review, chances are you are already halfway prepared.
