It’s not advertised anywhere, but this iPad SUCKS with Apple Pencil compatablilty. First of all, it isn’t compatible with the 2nd gen pencil, which you would expect. It’s also not advertised as such. Secondly, you have to special purchase a specific adapter from Apple, which is $20 and no where in town has them. It takes like 3-4 days to get. This is because the iPad 10th gen has a usb-c port, not lightening. So this tiny piece is ONLY for iPad 10. You also have to plug everything in each time you want to use your pencil, as it’s not Bluetooth. The shadiest part is that none of this is advertised, so it took me and my partner forever to figure out what the heck was wrong.Wish I I knew all this before. Would have saved a few hundred and gotten the 9th gen. So stupid.

Disappointed: No Apple Pencil compatible

Purchased iPad 10th generation and corresponding first generation Apple Pencil. Very disappointed that the Apple Pencil does not work with this iPad! If you want a pencil this is not the iPad for you. We met with customer service , geek squad and also had a call with apple support where they finally admitted there is a problem with the 1st gen pencil connecting with this iPad version. We also tried Logitech and it did no work either. We confirmed the iPad will connect to other devices such as air pods, etc so it is a confirmed issue with the 1st gen pencil. I’ve researched online abs it’s been an ongoing issue that they claim will resolve with future software updates, but this problem is still unresolved.

Lots of non love going around for this model from the Apple Geeks. It’s unjustified. I made this purchase based on the fact that they moved the camera to the side. I do lots of video conferencing. I am not a heavy duty user of this type of tech. I home use such as reading, viewing videos, face time, and other sundry daily tasks. It is perfect for that. If you wish to do art, editing, and other power hungry projects consider getting last years iPad Air or this years iPad Pro.

Everything I need and more
12 March 2023

This iPad has everything I need and more! I love everything about it! It may not have the traditional home button, but all you have to do is swipe from the bottom and you are home. It seems to be a lot safer and more secure than my old iPad and I can get any apps I need and want. I love the big screen. Probably the only things that are frustrating are that the Touch ID is very sensitive and the battery runs out quickly. Other than what I mentioned I really like this iPad and I would highly recommend it for anyone!!!

GPS accuracy and functionality is very poor
12 February 2023

I purchased to upgrade the 5 year old Samsung tablet I use on my boat for navigation. Because TZ Iboat app is only available on the Apple Store, I decided to try an Ipad. What a mistake. The GPS accuracy is way off and consistently freezes on TZ Iboat and Navionics. My 5 year old Samsung was far superior. The ipad is 1000% unreliable. Wish I had not purchased it and will never purchase another apple product. I exchanged under warranty, the replacement is no better...

Great upgrade
28 December 2022

I replaced my aging iPad Air with the new 10th generation version. The improved processor loads everything (apps/email) really quickly and the battery life so far seems to also have been improved. I'm still getting used to some of the new features, but the face ID recognition is very convenient. The larger screen size is great for reading and the weight seems similar to my older model. I'm sure others can provide a more detailed/technical review, but for my daily use this new model is a great upgrade.

Makes a great gift
2 November 2022

Bought it as a gift for my mom; she loves it. Not hard to see why — ipads are probably Apple’s best product. Certainly their most versatile. This particular model has received criticism for its (relatively) high price and Apple Pencil charging shenanigans. But, if you’re not going to use a pencil (my mom certainly isn’t), then this is the model you want — provided you’re cool with spending a bit more than you would for the entry model. I’ve no problem doing that for gifts, so easy decision.

Nice iPad, but apple pencil pairing sucks
4 January 2023

It's a very nice iPad on its own, but the fact that I need to buy an adapter to pair my apple pencil is really annoying. The only reason I bought this iPad instead of an iPad air is so that I wouldn't have to buy a new apple pencil, but I kind of wish I would've just caved and bought an iPad air and a new apple pencil. Adapters aren't expensive, but it's still extremely inconvenient to have to order an adapter just to use it once to pair my pencil. Since the 1st gen apple pencil is the only one that works with this iPad, it should just come with an adapter. Really upset and disappointed about this.

So far I have seen that it comes with all apple products maybe going back a few years. If it does not you can download the app on your device ITS FREE.I had no idea about keynotes and it’s a really great feature. I’m extremely pleased with the tablet and now feel so confident presenting my work so professionally.

The iPad is an amazing addiction to your daily life, that I fell in love with.To start with, it’s a modern-looking device. It’s sleek and elegant, with a gorgeous premium feel to it. The design is very simple and typical for an Apple product. The device itself is quite easy in use, especially if own an iOS one before. If you like, you could invest in an Apple Pencil or an Smart Keyboard to even improve it more. Also the inside of that product is a good piece of work. It has a very big capacity that can fit all of your apps, photos and files. It can run very big apps easily and does not jam. There are over a million apps on the App Store specifically designed for the large display and power of iPad. I use it to do my school work and it has never let me down yet. It was very useful, especially during the time of pandemic, when everything was online. The screen is good quality too but to be honest, the camera doesn’t fit my expectations. Apart form that, the battery life last for a long time, but it doesn’t charge so quick as I would like it to.In the conclusion I really found it a well-built and daily use device. That both can be use for work and entertainment.
