Expensive. But I bought because cheaper USB-C cable carrying power and data OK to new notebook computer, but not also displaying on external monitor. Plugging in the Thunderbolt cable instantly fixed the problem. If you're short of money, Thunderbolt 3 might well have been sufficient for this; I was happy to pay the extra for peace-of-mind (not risking another trip to store) and future-proofing.

Had to bite the bullet and purchase this after the Belkin 6.6ft thunderbolt 4 cable I had wasn't long enough for my laptop drawer. It's of great quality and more than enough length. Have only had it for a short period of time so hopefully it lasts for some years.

Expensive, high-quality, braided cable

High-quality braided cable. I use it with the 140W Apple adapter to power my work laptop. Soon you should be able to use it to charge an iPhone at 100W!

Great Quality, but comes with a price

Obviously a great cable. I have ALWAYS had good luck with apple cables. going back to Thunderbolt 2. This is exactly the same, but better. Transfer rates are great, the braided line is a nice touch. But its insanely priced...

It's a TB4 cable

It's the cheapest TB4 cable Best Buy sells at this length. CRAZY EXPENSIVE though, Apple needs to chill. Only bought because I had a lot of Best Buy points to set up a high speed connection between my desktop and laptop. Writing this for more Best Buy points lol.

Steve Jobs must be tossing and turning in his heaven bed. I only came here cause the Magic Keyboard only works on one side. Rather buy an extension box.

Overpriced

Don’t know why Apple doesn’t make a thunderbolt 3 cable that’s as long as this one. Super overpriced. If you can, get it somewhere else please do. There’s really nothing “pro” about this cable, only the length

The one USB-C cable to rule them all

... until Intel releases thunderbolt 5 cables, and unlike other thunderbolt 3 cables, this has FULL backwards compatible USB-C capabilities despite exceeding the maximum specified length (around 2 feet lol) that forces them to fall back to being only USB 2.0 cables if you're using them on non-thunderbolt devices.I use this guy when I'm guaranteed I need to pull the maximum performance out of the peripheral it's plugged into, or when I know I need to a long cable to plug into a device that needs some exotic feature spec from that most USB-C cables won't have, like the portable monitor my brother gave me that only runs through a single USB-C port connection for some reason. It's also the nicest cable I have. Most thunderbolt cables are expensive, but the build quality of those cables don't match their price as they're not even braided, and the . These cables both feel over-engineered and nice to touch. The only downside I have with these cables is they're so over-engineered that they have a pretty strong grip onto whatever port you plug them into and require a lot more exertion than other USB C cables I've used (even apple ones!) to detach.Since most thunderbolt cables of this length are already around this price range anyway, you might as well pony up a little bit more for the best built and full-featured thunderbolt cable you can get on the market with no compromises, and makes sense that Apple would be the one to make it given their history with the technology.

This cord was worth the purchase, even the I bought the 3 meter cord (in case I’m away from my computer or plug) and it is pricey, it works well and does a fantastic job for syncing my new iPhone 15 Pro Max to my PC! It gives me faster syncing for my iPhone, especially for all the music I own.
